100lb to lose

Annonnn · 31/12/2021 18:57

I have gained 100lb in the past 3 years and need to lose it.

I'm mostly just posting this so I have somewhere to keep track and other people can see my progress (or lack of) to keep me motivated.

I think I'll aim to post weight updates each Saturday, so here goes!

Current weight 230lb Blush

You’ve made the decision - that’s a great first step!
Just one day at a time 👍

Me too. I'll join you. I lost 100lbs in the first lockdown between March-August 2020 but as a teacher since being physically back in school it's all gone back on in the last year. Gutted but got to do it again!

During the first lockdown I lose 40lb on keto, once I went back to carbs and over eating I very quickly gained all that back, plus a whole load more Blush

It is a pain to have to do it all over again but at least we know it can be done now Grin

I’m in. We can do this!

Currently 212 lbs. I’m going for a long walk later and will be watching food carefully.

I'll join you all if that's OK I need to lose 80 pounds, gained in the last 4 years this year its my 40th in the summer and I'm going to Disney land so I'm motivated to get this weight off. Been doing just dance or online exercise classes for 30 mins a day since last week and been really enjoying those.
Signed up for clubberise in my area too.
Toying with SW but didn't work for me last time.

How are you Annonn? Did you have a good New Year?

Report
Annonnn · 02/01/2022 10:12

Hi, annoyingly enough we got pretty unpleasant Covid for new year, so although I haven't been able to properly start healthy eating I also haven't been in the mood to eat very much of anything 😅

I’m 197 and have 60 to lose. Bit daunting but I really don’t want to be 14st when I’m 50 this summer.

I’m quite active when I can be bothered, so I’ve set Strava targets of walking and cycling 1000 miles each, and running when I can. Plan to go low carb weekdays - I’ve done it 7 days a week before but get bored and bail out. I’m not bothered about going into ketosis and all that stuff - I just have to get a grip of my carb and sugar intake which is absolutely over the top.

I'm with you OP, I also have 100lbs (or so) to lose. I started a couple of days ago at 245 lbs, weighed this morning and I'm down to 240 lbs, (but I suspect there's a lot of water in that!).

Goal is to get down to around 10 stone.

I’m in a similar position 209lb but would ideally want to weigh 140lb. I’ve been doing quite a few gym classes and I cycle but my food intake must be awful as I can’t seem to shake any weight. I’ve started logging on MFP and hope this will help.

So far so good, I have stayed at 1200cals or under all but one day (although I've got a horrid cold today and will be allowing myself 2000cals).
I've found that having a ready meal or soup at lunch is a good way to easily control calories, pasta ready meals from Asda are particularly good for that.

Congratulations @Annonnn , you're doing so well.

Can I ask what a typical days food is for you?

Report
Annonnn · 13/02/2022 10:42

This past week has been terrible but I'll be back on the diet tomorrow 😅

I count calories and try to stay under 1200 (I'm very short)

Normally my day would be something like
Asda ready meal lasagne or spaghetti for lunch 445cals (I usually skip breakfast)

A satsuma 35 cals

Dinner would be;
breaded chicken fillets 330cals
Lettuce 10cals
Cucumber 10cals
Beetroot 15cals
Spring onion 10cals
Sweetcorn 20cals
Lidl creamy coleslaw 114cals (total 509cals)

OR

Asda tomato and mascapone soup (300cals) and a cheese toastie (274cals)

Evening snack would then be either;
Quavers (86 cals)
Satsuma (35cals)
Galaxy caramel cake bar (100cals)
10 grapes (20cals)
Fridge raiders (46cals)
Raspberry sugar free jelly (10cals)
I have a mix of these depending on how many calories I have left at the end of the day to fit in to my 1200calories Smile
