100lb to lose

Annonnn · 31/12/2021 18:57

I have gained 100lb in the past 3 years and need to lose it.

I'm mostly just posting this so I have somewhere to keep track and other people can see my progress (or lack of) to keep me motivated.

I think I'll aim to post weight updates each Saturday, so here goes!

Current weight 230lb Blush

Looking back at the thread I think you have lost 5.6lbs, I have lost 5.2lbs. It’s been 3 weeks so you are averaging 1.86 lbs a week and I am at 1.73lb a week which is nicely in the whole 1 to 2lb recommendation.

If we kept up the same rate of loss for a year which we won’t and you can’t as would end up 7 stone then that would be 96.72lb loss for you and 89.96lb for me. That would take me under my target weight.

in reality it slows as we have less to lose doesn’t it but looking at that I’m pleased with progress as I was so worried that being menopausal and pretty much totally immobile I would really struggle to lose.

Once my hip is done I should be able to move again then will be above to get back to walking and swimming and am going to do some resistance stuff and then yoga for flexibility.

@Seaitoverthere When I first started this thread just over 2 years ago I was 230lb (not great at 5ft2, gave me a bmi of over 42 😐) so with how slow my loss has been so far with giving up and restarting your prediction is very encouraging 😁
But it's been 3 weeks back on it and fasting 23:1 is really working for me, my husband and son are having domino's pizza for dinner and I'm quite content without anything as I had lunch as my one meal today.
At 5ft2 I could reasonably be 7st2lb before being classed as underweight 😅

I saw your thread this morning and see you've been going strong for months, well done!!

Thanks @Annonnn . My BMI was 42 in November and is 38.5 this morning, I needed it under 40 to qualify for hip replacement but I want it to be 35 or less so on a bit of a mission. I’m going on the list in the spring and I imagine there will be a long weight so should be doable.

Have eaten up to maintenance today as like to do that occasionally. Got a low carb recipe book and various ingredients today so planning to try making some low carb bread at some point which I am hoping will be a nice change, let’s see!

That’s highly impressive doing the length of fasting you are doing, I can as a one off but generally do 18 hours. That would have been unthinkable at one point as I used to feel sick if I didn’t eat breakfast so am pleased with how it is going.

Slight name change on new account so getting this back on my watch list.

Current weight; 187.8
Change from last week; - 0.6lb

I stayed on plan all week, even with having a horrible cold and wanting comfort food so I'm a bit disappointed, oh well 😂

Seaitoverthere · 26/01/2024 09:56

Restored original account.

0.6lb off for me too this week and like you should have been more really!

Seeing as we have had 2 weeks losing in synch can we aim for 2lbs next week please? 😀

Seaitoverthere · 02/02/2024 07:27

2.6lbs this week with total loss since start for November 11.2kg.

Annonnn · 02/02/2024 10:03

That's excellent @Seaitoverthere !

Current weight; 187.7

Change form last week; - 0.1lb

Not a surprise, I'm due on any day now and hardly eating as well as I should 😂

Seaitoverthere · 02/02/2024 10:08

it’s a loss amd even if it wasn’t it would be fine . We have to learn to take the rough with the smooth so it’s quite helpful really .

Seaitoverthere · 09/02/2024 07:11

2.4lb off this week.

Annonnn · 09/02/2024 09:34

Current weight ; 188.3lb

Change from last week; +0.6lb

I have my 3rd cold since Christmas (the joys of having a child in nursery) so I'm not even thinking about calories or fasting right now 😂

Very sensible, you need food at this point. Was saying to DH I shall have a break from deficit when I have my op. I’d like one now really as I think it helps long term with maintenance but more important to get weight off for op.

Seaitoverthere · 16/02/2024 07:37

0.6lb on this week. Should have been a loss but I ate more carbs than normal and shot up 3lb at one point.

Annonnn · 16/02/2024 11:23

Current weight 190lb
Change from last week; +1.7lb

Things definitely aren't going as well as they should be but I also had a tonne more carbs than usual the past few days @Seaitoverthere , it'll all be gone in the next week or 2 :)

OP posts:
Seaitoverthere · 16/02/2024 12:17

I’m not liking this carb bloat very much !

Seaitoverthere · 23/02/2024 08:00

0.2lb off this week.

Annonnn · 23/02/2024 11:13

Current weight; 189.7lb

Change from last week; -0.3lb

Honestly I'm not even trying at the moment, I know I should be but I've lost all motivation, I'm sure the constant cold, rainy weather isn't helping 😂 I'm also waiting to hear if my son is accepted in to an ASN school and the stress of not knowing is sending me right to the snack cupboard, I'll get back on track by next week I hope 🤞

You are staying relatively stable which in itself is an achievement. I hope you get good news soon.

Seaitoverthere · 01/03/2024 07:27

0.4lb on this week. I am still in deficit so either a plateau or my new medication is having an effect on weight loss.

Seaitoverthere · 15/03/2024 08:25

@Annonnn how are you? Taken 5 weeks but am finally 2.2lb lighter this week and broken my plateau/gain phase despite being in deficit the whole time which coincided with medication.

I had to increase it a bit yesterday so hoping this won’t mean another gain or plateau.
