100lb to lose

Annonnn · 31/12/2021 18:57

I have gained 100lb in the past 3 years and need to lose it.

I'm mostly just posting this so I have somewhere to keep track and other people can see my progress (or lack of) to keep me motivated.

I think I'll aim to post weight updates each Saturday, so here goes!

Current weight 230lb Blush

I might start easing back in to eating well over the next few days but it's so hard with all the Christmas chocolate and biscuits around 😂

Well done losing over a stone! 😁 Do you calorie count or follow any diets?

OP posts:
Annonnn · 31/12/2023 10:00

This day 2 years ago: 230lb
This day last year ; 200lb
Today; 194lb

36lb in 2 years isn't great but they do say slow is the way to go with weight loss 😂

Well done @Annonnn ! A good foundation to build on for next year. What method are you using? I’m intermittent fasting and counting calories. I think the fasting is helping reset my appetite and I am no longer a sugar fiend.

Annonnn · 31/12/2023 11:20

Thanks @Seaitoverthere 😁
I calorie count as well (although not for the past few months but I'm back on it now 😂)
The last couple of days I've been eating one giant meal a day within a 1 hour window, it definitely seems to be helping me get back in to the swing of things and stop my bad habit of snacking whenever I go in the kitchen, how long do you fast for?

OP posts:
Seaitoverthere · 31/12/2023 11:34

Not as long as you have been! I do 12pm to 6pm and use Nutracheck.

Annonnn · 31/12/2023 11:48

@Seaitoverthere I've only been doing the one meal a day fasting for 2 days, I'll definitely move to 16:8 or similar once the snack cravings have stopped :)
How long have you been fasting for/has it been effective?

I've got the nutracheck app but only the free version so I can hardly input any foods each day 😂

Seaitoverthere · 31/12/2023 11:52

I’ve ended up on the free version when my subscription ran out and ran out of space very quickly 😀 I’ve been fasting since the start of November and try and do 18:6 which seems to be working as down a stone from then.

Annonnn · 31/12/2023 12:03

A stone so quick is excellent @Seaitoverthere ,well done! 😁

OP posts:
Seaitoverthere · 31/12/2023 12:09

Thank you 🙂 I need an op so that’s really good motivation. Very pleased I started in November to get a loss in for 2024.

Let’s keep at it, we can do this 😀

Annonnn · 31/12/2023 12:23

@Seaitoverthere definitely more motivated now, my son starts school in august, I don't want to be the fat mum at the playground 😂
I'm very overweight (obese really 😂) so I'm hoping if I stayed absolutely on track I can lose 40-50lb by the time he starts in mid August. I'm not sure if that's crazy wishful thinking though 😅 I'll still be overweight then but it won't be so bad

OP posts:
Seaitoverthere · 31/12/2023 13:27

@Annonnn I don’t think it is wishful thinking, I think it is achievable with keeping on at it. It’s good to have something to aim for I find.

Annonnn · 31/12/2023 18:24

@Seaitoverthere the day kind of got away from me and I ended up completely changing my eating plan, but that's the best thing about calorie counting, there's no foods that are completely off limits.
I ended up having 2 mcdonalds burgers, ramen, tamagoyaki and 2 mochi so it was far from a balanced days food, only 1383 calories though and my eating window is closed now so that's me done for the day 😂

OP posts:
Seaitoverthere · 31/12/2023 18:31

How did you know @Annonnn that I had just put my spoon down ? 😀

I have had 2 mini babybells, a popadom and pickles, boiled rice and chicken tikka from curry house and a tiramisu . I did weigh it all and think according to Nutracheck that it is just under 1300 calories so similar to you and I’m done, totally stuffed now 😂

That’s why I like calorie counting, it is flexible and can be adapted and if you go way over one day then you just cut down on others - which I assume is what people who don’t have weight problems do. Successful NYE for us both 🙂

Annonnn · 07/01/2024 11:09

First weigh in of 2024

Current weight; 191.2lb
Change from last week; - 2.8lb

An encouraging start to the year 😁

OP posts:
Seaitoverthere · 07/01/2024 13:56

Well done @Annonnn , it was 2lbs for me which I am pleased with .

Annonnn · 07/01/2024 14:31

Well done @Seaitoverthere , a great start to the year for us both 😁

OP posts:
Seaitoverthere · 07/01/2024 15:05

@Annonnn , all we need to do is keep going for another 51 weeks 😀

Annonnn · 12/01/2024 10:50

I'm going to change my weigh in days to fridays

Current weight; 189.8lb
Change from last week: -1.4lb

😁

Oh wow, that´s so impressive!! Well done!!

Seaitoverthere · 12/01/2024 11:57

Excellent, well done! 1.8lb off for me this week.

Annonnn · 12/01/2024 12:15

@LosingMyPumpkins thank you! 😁

Well done @Seaitoverthere 😁
Still going strong?
Do you do any exercise? I bought some kettle bells yesterday but just taking them from the delivery man and putting them in my cupboard was enough for me so I've not picked them up since 😂

OP posts:
Seaitoverthere · 12/01/2024 12:27

@LosingMyPumpkins I can’t walk really at the moment so is very difficult. I need and op then hopefully can get back to it all again. I think there is a kettlebell here acting as a doorstop somewhere 😃

Seaitoverthere · 12/01/2024 12:29

I am going strong , no doubt in my mind we can do this ! Weighed at GP this week and am 9.5 kg down from start of November.

Annonnn · 19/01/2024 08:28

Current weight: 188.4lb
Change from last week: - 1.4lb

I was lower when I had a wee look at the scales yesterday so hopefully next week will be a nice loss 😁

OP posts:
Seaitoverthere · 19/01/2024 08:40

1.4 lb off for me this week too 😀I am much heavier than you though and my sneaky peak in week didn’t show a lower rate and I was very relieved when they came down this morning!
