2022 has GOT to be the year I get on track and stop yo-yoing! Who's with me

Started 2021 at 15st 1lb! Lost weight, put some on, lost some, put some back on. Weighed myself today and I'm 15st 2 again!!!! Back to square one! In 5"2 and now back up to a size 16. I feel unhealthy and unattractive but really struggle with the impulse to binge eat, especially when I am stressed or tired. Before having children I lost 8 stone, weighed 10 stone and wore a size 10 so I know I can do it. Just need to stay motivated. I am going to restart with my fitness Pal and try and walk 10000 everyday. Really don't want to be writing the same thing this time next year!

I hope your weekend is going well. I like the idea of indoor camping! Smile Less bugs and less cold too I imagine.
I hope you feel less tired and less pain this weekend too. Flowers

Hi everyone
I had a ski holiday and I’m hoping the exercise outweighed the cheese and wine but I doubt it! Anyhow getting back into the routine now. I have no scales and won’t weigh myself just get back on with it. It’s amazing how much better I feel when on plan!

WitchDancer · 27/02/2022 17:03

I've just got back - we've had a fantastic weekend. Food wise I haven't done brilliantly but I did swerve the chocolate and more than 1 donut a day 😇 I need a shower but I made the mistake of sitting down 😂

Dumpydump · 28/02/2022 07:29

Glad everyone has been enjoying themselves. So jealous of cheese, wine and skiing!! Just want to say it has been really motivational to see everyone's progress (and to see other people's weight loss difficulties as this has made me feel less alone in my own struggles ❤️). February wasn't the best month for me although I have managed to stay back on track for most of the end of it. Weighed in at 13st 13 today so out of the 14s! 😊 Back to work and school today after a lovely half term with my boys. Bring on March! Thanks for all of your support. We can do this 😊😊 xxx

Morning all. It's weigh in day, once I get my sorry butt out of bed that is! I ache like crazy today Sad

Well done Dumpy! In the 13's is fabulous!

WitchDancer · 28/02/2022 10:17

Oh dear, 2lb on. That's really not good at all Sad

73kittycat73 · 28/02/2022 11:07

Weigh in day for me too, lost 4.12lbs this week. Smile That's a stone off in three weeks. Well, chuffed with that. Next goal to get in the 12 st bracket.
Sorry you had a a gain WitchDancer. I hope you are feeling less achy now. New week, new start?

WitchDancer · 28/02/2022 22:07

That's brilliant Kitty! A huge loss for a week.

I wish I was less achy but I'm not. Tomorrow will be worse too, based on how my body is - it's never the next day, it's always the day after.

Hopefully Lent will be my friend, which starts Wednesday. No crisps, no sweets, no biscuits, or snacks should help tremendously!

Dumpydump · 01/03/2022 07:26

Well done Kitty, brilliant result. Sorry to hear you are having a hard time WitchDancer, keep going you can do this 👍 xxx

Thank you both. Smile
I hope you're not in too much pain today WitchDancer? Does anything help? Like a hot bath or something?
I haven't given up anything for Lent for years. In fact I'd forgotten all about it. Blush Very good luck to you, I'm sure you can do it. Do you have a plan? Like not buying the snacks in?

WitchDancer · 01/03/2022 22:21

Evening all. The pain is constant unfortunately, I have a lot of medical issues, but some days are better than others. If I overdo things I really know about it, and today is one of those days. Tomorrow will be better though.

I tend to manage my conditions by very careful planning. If I do overdo things I simply go to bed, but I do try not to get that bad.

I'll have snack stuff in the house, yes. My DS's and husband aren't practicing Christian so they will still want them. It's certainly a test of willpower with them in the house!

Ooh blimey, very good luck to you then! I only manage by not having anything in! (I don't know if I've said before, but my mum lives next door and I've left a packet of M & M's in hers for emergencies. I don't want to wake her late at night , when I have my cravings, by going in and waking her. Worked so far. ) Do you usually do the same for Lent?
I hope you do feel better today, achy wise. It must be hard to manage/work around?

WitchDancer · 02/03/2022 19:21

Hi Kitty, I usually just do sweets or add bible time or prayer time. It's the first year of extreme'I am not having this'. Day one, so far so good. It's this time of day that tends to be snack cravings time though Confused

73kittycat73 · 02/03/2022 20:02

Good luck! You've almost done 1 day so far, good going! Star I hope you got through your cravings. Can you do anything to distract yourself when they hit? Change your routine a little?

WitchDancer · 02/03/2022 22:33

I've got a crochet blanket on the go, plus a couple of baby blankets for friends that are due soon. That should keep the hands busy and the cravings forgotten. Thank you for your support, one day done!

73kittycat73 · 03/03/2022 19:34

Congratulations! Star There is a thread in Chat about Lent you might be interested in.

I'd love to learn how to crochet. I'm a knitter, currently doing Christmas baubles/decorations.

WitchDancer · 03/03/2022 22:47

Day 2 done Smile

Thank you for the link Kitty, I'll have a read tomorrow. I learned to crochet using the you tube tutorials by Bella Coco. I've then learned a lot more by doing Helen Shrimpton's crotchet along blankets. This is the second one I've done now. The picture is up to part 7, I'm working on part 8, which is the last part.

WitchDancer · 03/03/2022 22:48

Whoops, that's up to part 6, not 7 Blush

73kittycat73 · 04/03/2022 11:44

That looks amazing! I'll have to look up that tutorial in the winter when I've finished knitting Christmas stuff. How did you do yesterday? I ate two extra yogurts. They were low calorie ones though! Grin

WitchDancer · 04/03/2022 15:04

I'm doing ok recently, loads of fruit and veg. I'm having low fat yogurt too but trying to stick to just one a day. I have been having the 10 calorie jelly, which satisfy that sweet craving.

73kittycat73 · 04/03/2022 19:19

I don't know if this would help, but I buy the Skinny Syrups from here. I usually ad them to my porridge, but can be added to other foods like yogurt. It's a good way to get that sweet hit without the calories. I like the golden syrup and maple. They did a taster selection a while back. Just found it here that was helpful to find the ones you like.

WitchDancer · 04/03/2022 19:47

I'm not really into syrups tbh, but thank you for the tip. I'd rather have overnight oats with fruit in.

73kittycat73 · 05/03/2022 11:05

No problems. Smile I've not tried overnight oats, are they nice?

Dumpydump · 07/03/2022 07:17

So weighed in a at 13st 12.5lbs today. Only half a pound since last Monday but to be honest I'm glad it's a loss! I spent all weekend at a college assessment weekend (I passed 👍🎉) and to be honest survived the stress and tiredness with chocolate and celebrated with a Indian takeaway!!! 😮 So 8th day in a row of work/college today. Bring on a day off tomorrow! Back on track today 😊

It's still a loss Dumpy, well done!

I've just weighed in and had a whopping 5lb loss. I did it twice to make sure and it's true! I'm well chuffed with that Grin
