New You plan - aiming for 3 stone by Christmas

fallenover · 08/09/2021 15:59

I have stalled at this weight for ages and been on a permanent diet / watching what I eat / walking and keeping active. All to little effect. I feel like I need a boost and to give my metabolism a bit of a shock and get the scales moving downwards.

So I have decided to follow the New You plan and just placed my order.

Anybody want to join me on this journey with the aim of keeping motivated and sharing hints, tips and success stories.

Hi all, am up with my Mum and sister's family still supporting them. DH brought me up a supply of packs but I had some salads before that.
Funeral is on Friday and I will retun home n Sunday, I think.
Pretty sure that the emotional shock has stopped weightloss for a bt and that is ok. I will weigh on Monday 14th though.

How is everyone getting on?

hellsbells99 · 13/02/2022 09:00

sorry for your loss @Hippywannabe
I started this plan last Saturday - even though I received my food pack a couple of weeks before!
I have not been able to stick to it totally as I work away for 2/3 days every week so have to attend a couple of meals/lunches etc but I have tried to make healthy low carb choices. The good news is I still managed to lose 7lb in the first week so very pleased.
Thanks for the inspiration from you all on this thread.

Hippywannabe · 18/02/2022 08:01

How's everyone doing?
I weighed in yesterday at 12.12 from 18.3 in mid September so that is 75lbs.
Weightloss has slowed down but I had a blip last Friday as it was my sister's funeral and another blip last night as it was our anniversary of meeting.
I have discovered that I simply cannot blip without consequences, I have been up most of the night with heartburn and an overfull feeling.
Onward and downward.

cardoon · 18/02/2022 12:51

Amazing, are you sticking to 4 items a day?

hellsbells99 · 19/02/2022 08:54

Week 2 weigh in today and lost 3lbs - so 10lbs in total. This is amazing as a I am only totally sticking to it for 4.5 days a week. Got an awful lot to lose though. Love the porridges, meal bars, noodles. Had a bag of the chocolate balls for a snack/treat last night and they are fab. Totalling chaotic lifestyle due to working away and family duties hence not being on plan all week. Trying to make sensible high protein, low carb choices when I am having ‘real’ food and keeping up liquid intake. Off to a keep-fit class this morning.

Hippywannabe · 20/02/2022 08:38

I tend to stick to 4 packs with the crisps 3 or 4 times a week.
I am off for half term this week and am struggling with grief. I have to go back home and help my brother in law with paperwork on Monday.
DH is also off for the week so I am going to try to plan a few nice days out for us that don't necessarily involve food.
I am now down from morbidly obese to just overweight in my BMI category!

dolorsit · 23/02/2022 12:28

Are they still offering referral codes? I'd appreciate it if someone could send me one.

Thanks

Hippywannabe · 24/02/2022 16:14

@dolorsit I will pm you mine x

dolorsit · 24/02/2022 22:03

Got it - thank you.

Hippywannabe · 16/03/2022 07:29

How is everyone doing? I am stuck at the moment but maintaining 5 stones 8lbs off in 6 months.

Bostonbullsmumma · 17/03/2022 11:57

Hi everyone - Day 3 for me! How long did everyone find it took to get into ketosis? I did the plan a few years back but can't remember! Well done to all that have lost weight 🙌

Bostonbullsmumma · 17/03/2022 12:07

@Hippywannabe wow that's fantastic- well done 🙌 maintaining is where I failed last time!!

Hippywannabe · 21/03/2022 07:04

Not had the best week but am maintaining by pretty much sticking to packs with veg and salad during the week and having treats at the weekend, for instance, we went out for a pub meal yesterday so I had buttermilk chicken (delicious) and salad but gave DH most of the chips.
I am going to try a stricter week this week because I am determined not to put weight back on!

Bostonbullsmumma · 22/03/2022 22:01

The new strawberry bars are delicious!

dolorsit · 23/03/2022 10:48

I'm half way through week 3 and have lost 11lb so far.

Hippywannabe · 26/03/2022 07:11

Well done @dolorsit how are you finding it?
@Bostonbullsmumma I haven't tried them yet, I have so many packs and bars that I can't justify another order...... can I?😆😆😆

dolorsit · 28/03/2022 13:46

@Hippywannabe

Surprisingly easy. I've not really been hungry on the plan to the effect that I have struggled to eat four packs most days.

I've decided that I'm going to do some variant of the switch plan - basically on some days matching my main meal to whatever the family are having and having a small portion of theirs. Eg its chilli tonight for dinner and I will have some of the chilli mixed in with the new you chilli. I don't want to get into the habit of forcing myself to eat something when I'm not hungry.

I've lost 12lbs in 3 weeks and the second week I had two birthday meals to attend so only lost 1lb.

I'm trying switch this week too (as pre arranged plans) it does feel strange actually eating food!! My worry is my hunger coming back as on the plan you don't feel hungry!!

pinkpapaya · 23/04/2022 08:02

Hi, I have just ordered a 6 week Spring transformation box. I desperately need to do something about my weight. I am the heaviest that I have ever been and it is making me feel older, depressed and is affecting my life. I current weigh 15' 12. I have NEVER been this overweight but had a lot of stress these last 6 months and am just not in the right mindset to jolly myself along or kick myself up the bum. I need to sort it out because I have high blood pressure. I am due to make a start on May 2nd. Looking for support along the way, advice from those on the plan or who have done it and if anyone else is a new starter, to share the journey 😊

Hippywannabe · 01/05/2022 22:29

@pinkpapaya hope you get on alright with it. It really has changed my life.
Let me know if I can help you with anything xx

pinkpapaya · 02/05/2022 12:39

@Hippywannabe - thank you SO much for your offer of guidance. I really need to do something. Made a start todat. I am in bed with civid so no appetite and having to drink gallons so I thought 'two birds, one stone'. So far today I had two cups of tea with skimmed milk from allowance, one strawberry shake, two cranberry flavoured water drinks and gallons of regular water. I don't have an appetite today so just going to do 2 shakes, a soup for dinner and a bar for later on. I am in bed and very fatigued so not walking around so it seems fine at present Flowers

pinkpapaya · 02/05/2022 12:40

I meant covid

pinkpapaya · 02/05/2022 14:49

Change of plan meal wise. This aftrnoon, I made the apple and cinnamon porridge for late lunch. The first two spoonfuls tasted 'odd' but soon just tasted sweet. The consistency is a bit like weetabix that has been allowed to go soggy but it wasn't the vittles of Satan that I read about. 160ml water, mix, microwave for 1 minute, mix again, microwave another minute then add a bit more hot water, stir and stand for a minute or two. Actually quite filling and easy to do which I am super grateful for as everything aches and is a huge effort right now.
