Near enough 3 months until the end of the year. I am determined not to go into 2022 the same weight as I am now. I have yoyo’d the last two years and want to just get to my goal and be a stable and healthy weight. I have 2 stone to go.

Anybody else starting September 1st and want to write meals daily with me?

Yes! I’m starting too!

Amdone123 · 01/09/2021 11:09

I'm onboard. I've been doing so much exercise, but because I've not been watching what I'm eating ( got fed up of shopping, cooking, etc), I'm still 13st. I want to get to 12st for Xmas. I've started calorie counting today. I'll probably weigh myself in a couple of weeks.
Just had a grilled bacon and tomato roll. I've been having more than that for breakfast ( 2!), but 1 was enough. And so nice.

LibertineEyes · 01/09/2021 12:31

Yes I started this morning as well.

My starting weight is 11st 6lbs, I am aiming to lose around two stones.

BellaElla99 · 01/09/2021 12:31

I’m 13 stone as well ! (Well 13 st 4)

How are you both feeling?

OP posts:
LibertineEyes · 01/09/2021 12:32

Forgot to say I will be calorie counting, 1200 per day.

mner1896 · 01/09/2021 12:34

Can I jump on? I started my own thread a couple of weeks ago but it hasn't taken off ha and I could use the motivation and accountability. Currently self isolating so I've been working out daily for the past week and walking on the treadmill along with trying to be mindful of what I eat. I need to get back into properly calorie counting though. 10stone 4.4 this morning, I have a rough goal weight of 9stone 7. Breakfast today was a bacon roll, not the healthiest of options but I really fancied it and the calories won't be too high. Good luck to everyone!

BellaElla99 · 01/09/2021 12:41

This is exciting! I know my mental health is so much better when I’m at a healthy weight and I have so much more motivation to do tasks set.

Afternoon all. I'm looking forward to eating properly. I've always eaten healthily but drink too much ( though have cut down massively with a great group on here). The problem when you're not drinking is the need for chocolate - and I don't even have a sweet tooth !
Anyway, I'd rather be trying and I always feel better having a go than drifting aimlessly !
I'll be counting calories, probably 1500 a day. I only want a pound a week ( any more a bonus). I can't go lower as I walk an hour a day and do at least 2 hours strenuous exercise.
Also, slow n steady wins the race !
Thanks for the thread @BellaElla99 - I need some support and accountability.

Holweighthelp · 01/09/2021 14:09

I have 1stone to lose. I work out 4-5 times a week, one of which with a PT. I am definitely doing badly with food. I have cooked a Hello Fresh Bacon risotto today. I’m not sure about dinner yet but my Asda delivery will come and that has plenty of healthy options

mner1896 · 01/09/2021 14:15

@Amdone123 I'm a big drinker too, more boredom than anything else. I had some non alcoholic beer this weekend just gone, it was my first weekend without drinking for a loooong time. I have got a bottle of non alcoholic wine ready for this weekend, I'm not ready to move onto cups of tea on a Saturday night yet Grin

BookShark · 01/09/2021 14:28

I'm starting today too. I'm calorie counting and very loosely low carbing, but only because it's the easiest way to cut out the calories! I'm 11st 9 and would rather be around 10 stone, so a while to go unfortunately.

Annoyingly, I did get to around 11 stone last year, but have eaten too much crap over the summer and had far too much to drink recently, which has piled the weight back on. I need to lose weight to get back into office clothes!

Today's meals:
Lunch - scrambled eggs with feta, spinach and smoked salmon
Tea - Hairy Dieters Spanish chicken traybake

Looking forward to being held accountable - this isn't the first time this year I've said I'm going to lose weight...

Amdone123 · 01/09/2021 16:46

@mner1896, hi 👋, I quite like af beer. Probably because I have nothing to measure it against ( don't really drink beer ordinarily). Af kopperberg is great. There's a great thread on here regarding af drinks - some brilliant suggestions.
I haven't found a good af wine. I prefer tea Grin

mner1896 · 02/09/2021 08:21

Morning all.

@Amdone123 it was af san Miguel I think I had, I didn't rate it massively but it did the trick keeping me off alcohol for the weekend. I'll have to try af kopperberg as I can imagine it would taste the most 'authentic' out of all the af options.

I find Thursday is usually the day I start to slip in my diet as we get closer to the weekend Confused I'm going to have yoghurt and fruit for breakfast as it's nice and low in calories and leaves me a bit more to play with throughout the day. How is everyone else feeling today?

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 02/09/2021 08:27

Can I join please?

13st 5 (5ft 5) and need to lose 2 stone...

I start a new job on Monday which is office based (having mainly worked from home since 1st lockdown) - checked my work wardrobe yesterday and had to make an emergency dash to the shops for larger sized trousers 😭

It's hopefully the push that I need - I have a huge working wardrobe in a size 14, which I WILL get into dammit!

Amdone123 · 02/09/2021 08:42

Morning all ! @mner1896, that's so weird - I struggle with Thursdays too. Af perroni tesco ( £4.50 for 4 !!), is very good. I didn't have the best day yesterday but I was ok. I'll try harder today. I can't have yoghurt and fruit for breakfast. I'm too hungry. @MrJollyLivesNextDoor, hi there. 👋. Even though 2 stone might sound a lot, it's not if you break it down into chunks : 1 or 2lb a week could get you feeling miles better in a couple of months. At least you've got the new job to keep you occupied.
I suppose now Summer is over ( I know. Blink and you missed it), we don't have many social engagements, so it's a bit easier to knuckle down n get on with it.

LibertineEyes · 02/09/2021 08:54

Morning all, well I did good yesterday, unfortunately I woke up at 3am and scoffed three slices of toast and jam. It was uncut bread too, so my slices were rather fat.

I must try harder today.

Hope everyone is ok.

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 02/09/2021 09:20

It's DPs birthday today so we are about to go body boarding - might burn off a few cals ready for birthday cake 😬

We've had a couple of holidays over the summer and have eaten loads of bad food - I'm hoping getting back into a normal routine will make things easier!

Amdone123 · 02/09/2021 09:36

@LibertineEyes, that made me laugh and also reminded me that when I got up through the night to let the dog out, a Mr Kipling lemon fancy found its way into my gob.
The dog'll have to go.

LibertineEyes · 02/09/2021 12:05

@Amdone123 I have a dog that wakes me up every single night around 1.30 to go out for a wee. I just kind of let her out and I'm still half asleep, but I always eat something sweet on my way through the kitchen.

Amdone123 · 02/09/2021 12:12

See, I don't do that normally. I'm great at stopping at 6pm. Yesterday was different cos I was thinking about it !!!

BookShark · 02/09/2021 12:59

Hey everyone - and happy birthday to Jolly's DH!

Today's meal plan:
Lunch - salad of lettuce, green beans, asparagus, Parma ham, parmesan and poached eggs.
Tea - sausage and butter bean casserole

Lunch sounds a bit random but was actually really nice and low calorie so quite pleased with that. The weekend will be the tricky bit for me - I know I'll want a glass of wine, which is probably okay if I actually limit it to a glass, but past experience says otherwise...

Holweighthelp · 02/09/2021 19:33

I had the remaining portion of bacon risotto today and a boost bar. Didn’t need or want boost bar but it was there and I am awful.

Went to PT today and was dreading it so much but was fine when there. So annoyed at my metabolism!

LibertineEyes · 03/09/2021 09:57

I had a successful day yesterday. Got a massive headache today, which I assume is chocolate and Diet Coke withdrawal 😄

How's everyone doing?

Cazzovuoi · 03/09/2021 09:59

Is anyone else doing the Protein Priority Diet? Would be great to swap meal ideas. I’ve got about 20lbs to lose.
