Happy new year!!
@Sooverthemill how are you doing? your last message made me sad and I hated to hear how much pain you were in but I LOVED hearing about Christmas in your DD's room
@neverenoughchelseaboots sounds like a good plan there, and Dry Jan worked very well for you last year if I recall correctly.
@Knittingnanny2 You need to give those chocolates away! You really do, sellotape wouldn't stop me. Although I'm impressed you haven't touched those chocs at the top of the tub. I threw half a bag of doritos away yesterday (they came back with me from York), I hate waste but as I was starting to eat them, I thought 'I'm not a dustbin' so out they went!
I got back from York yesterday, I had a lovely few days - a nice balance of getting out and seeing the city but also curled up on the sofa reading, or having an early night. I got my nails painted a sparkly colour, had afternoon tea (with obligatory champagne) at Betty's, and walked the city walls/around the the town. I was a bit nervous of doing much indoors because of the covid risk (especially given my vulnerability). I realised I would go away with one of the ladies again, but not the other so that was something to come away with and I'm already thinking of where we can go later in the year.
I don't know how but I've managed to lose weight over the the festive break. I weighed today and am pleasantly surprised to be 10st4.
My rough plan:
not drink alcohol for the next 2 weeks (not quite ready to say Dry Jan)
get out at least 2 times a week for a decent walk around the park
breakfasts will be yoghurt & fruit, lunches will be soup
be mindful of bread/pasta intake
dig out my pilates dvd that I always used to enjoy doing
@Morningmaeve hoping all is ok with you
B - greek yoghurt/frozen cherries and flaked almonds
L - broccoli & stilton soup (no bread)
D - possibly this www.mobkitchen.co.uk/recipes/emergency-gyoza-soup
