Hi all! I'm back with a bang! Thank you so much for the other lovely thread ladies who have taken care of this monthly thread while I have been ill. I'm starting to get a bit better now, my diabetes seems to be under control and I'm getting a little feeling back in my legs although I am still immobile and in chronic pain which makes exercise hard.

Anyway back to the main point! This is our ongoing thread for anyone who would like to try to lose 7lbs per month! There is a lovely mix of people on here all following different plans and regimes. All are welcome whether newbies, old timers, lurkers whatever! All we ask for is the supportive positive experience that everyone has had so far.

Previous thread is here May lose 7lb / 3kg per month thread http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/4233945-May-lose-7lb-3kg-per-month-thread

My stats are:
SW 25st 2lbs
CW 13st 12lbs
Loss so far: 11st 4lbs
Loss for May: 10lbs
Target for end of June: 13st 5lbs

Good luck everyone and here's to an amazing sunny June!

Well hello there @Vebrithien it's so lovely to see you back! Glad to hear you are all doing well, especially the little one. I remember it well!

Great loss for the month so far!

@MistySkiesAfterRain what we do is draw a line, put it in the past and start again today. Try plan ahead a bit to stop you reaching for the bad stuff. I make sure I've got my lunch in the fridge waiting for me so I don't grab the kids crisps instead. You can do this 🤛

@Ardagusdubh planning ahead definitely makes a difference. As above just draw a line and make today your do-over day. You got this!

@Forrrestttheout sounds like you just need to focus on yourself at the moment after what sounds like a horrific month for you 💐 take care, I'm so sorry for your loss 💐

I'm heading to my first physio session today. Feeling a bit nervous but also positive that it's a step closer to getting out of this bloody wheelchair, back to driving and actually standing up and walking. I feel like it's going to be a long journey but I'm going to work my little socks off!

Hello there everyone, I'm going with @Lovesacake suggestion and I will weigh myself tomorrow morning.

I am logging all my food and I must admit I do seem to be eating less, when I do want a snack I'm being more mindful as opposed to shoving 3 biscuits in my mouth Grin

I've upped my exercise too, averaging about 17k steps a day.

This thread is very motivating with some really good losses - well done everyone x

Lovesacake · 24/06/2021 19:34

@Ardagusdubh and @MistySkiesAfterRain I hope you don’t mind me saying this but I find it quite comforting to know I’m not the only one who has the food binges. My approach has been to accept the binges and not beat myself up for them, there’s just no point what’s done is done. I do try to minimise them, and I also try to be extra extra ‘good’ for a few days after a binge in the hope that overall it will balance itself out.
I used to binge literally daily and now it tends to be once every week or two, by being super healthy on non binge days and doing lots of exercise I’ve managed to lose 4 stone even despite the binges, so don’t give up hope.

Ps I’m not saying my approach is the healthiest or best, it would be better not to binge at all but I just can’t seem to get to that point!

Lovesacake · 24/06/2021 19:35

@PassTheVinoTinto good luck for the morning!

PassTheVinoTinto · 25/06/2021 06:20

Weigh in day for me!

SW 81kg
CW 80.3kg
GW 69kg

I think the phrase is slow and steady, not the biggest loss but a loss nevertheless Grin

Vebrithien · 25/06/2021 06:48

A loss is a loss! Well done Glitterball

I had a sneaky little weigh in this morning, and it was in double figures! Whoop!! Gives me the confidence to face the weekend with the PIL visiting who have been known to comment negatively on my weight

I'll then try to stick to weighing in on a Tuesday.

Lovesacake · 25/06/2021 08:32

Friday morning weigh in for me... 8 stone 13! I can’t believe it, I never thought I’d be 8 stone something again. Only 3 pounds to go and then I’m on a maintenance diet rather than a weight loss diet. Although tbh if I stay where I am I’ll still be chuffed. Starting weight was (I think) around 13 stone 10, so nearly 5 stone down!

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 25/06/2021 08:54

Weigh-in day for me too!

SW 62.6kg
CW 60.3kg
GW 50kg

Really pleased with that :-) I'm starving today though...looking forward to relaxing the diet a bit for the weekend.

PassTheVinoTinto · 27/06/2021 10:57

Just been logging my food and I have eaten 700 calories less per day this week compared to last week.

Think this is because I'm more mindful of what I'm eating. Yesterday for example instead of having a biscuit, I had a kiwi. On another thread I read you should eat the skin for fibre, this definitely worked!

Happy Sunday everyone x

MistySkiesAfterRain · 27/06/2021 17:43

Thank you so much for the encouraging words @cricketmum84 and @Lovesacake. Also well done @cricketmum84 on the test results!!

I did put it behind and figured 1 day off it and the next back on is better than giving up. I've cut back one of my meds too and feel less bone tired which is good.

So I'm now 11st 4 (SW 11st 5) so I'm looking forward to shifting anothet half a pound this week, and then moving onto July. I know the target is 7lb, I've set myself a 6lb target as that feels really realistic and maybe I'll up the ante for the extra pound. Next month will be getting under the next stone milestone too so that feels exciting.

cricketmum84 · 28/06/2021 08:05

Morning all and happy Monday!!

I'm still 13st 7lbs. I really need a push to get the last 2lbs off by Wednesday!! I hate failing!!

Got all my goodies arriving today that the neuro-physio sorted for me last week :) a brand new tri-Walker, some supports for the toilet and a perching stool for the kitchen so I can start cooking again :) most excitingly I have also bought myself a bath lift. I haven't been able to get in the bath since last year so I'm quite giddy about that arriving!

Meal plan done and sorted for this week. It's going to be a good one I think!

I'll check in again when I get weighed on Wednesday morning! Eek!

Some really great losses on here!! well done @MistySkiesAfterRain @Lovesacake @PassTheVinoTinto @Vebrithien and brilliant news @cricketmum84 about the diabetes check!!

I've had a weekend of eating my emotions, so find myself a couple of lb up this morning - but don't feel overly perplexed - am back on it today xx

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 28/06/2021 19:37

I’ve completely fallen off the wagon today 🙁 had an indulgent weekend but not too bad if I went back to proper dieting for the weekdays…but I’ve had a shitty day and have eaten my way through it, plus nearly a bottle of wine this evening. And I can’t go for a run because I have to isolate for the next week. I’ll have to try to get back on it tomorrow but I’m not feeling positive about this week (and it’s only week 3!!) 😢

Tallpaulwho · 28/06/2021 20:59

Weigh in day for me. Think I will fall short of the 3kgs target for June. I have lost 2.5 kgs, close and it's a loss so will take it. Bit depressing as I have been very good all month. Oh well onwards and downwards!

Vebrithien · 29/06/2021 06:58

Weighing in this morning at 99.4kg.

So that's my first aim, to get into double figures.

-1.8kg in just over a week, and - 4.4kg for the first month. I always find it easier when I'm at work, it's the summer holidays that are the struggle. I know that it'll slow down coming into July.

Have a good day, everyone.

HolaVida · 30/06/2021 09:56

SW 13st 6.5
CW 11st 11.5
TW 11st 3-7
Total lost for June: 8lbs

Delighted to have lost 8lbs overall this month!! I feel great, and my clothes are starting to fit again.

Within the next month I should get down to my target range- although there are quite a lot of 'occasions' coming up, so will see how it goes.

I think what I've enjoyed this month is listening to my body better. I've done OMAD some days, but if my body has been craving nutrition, I've not forced it to fast.
I've also had a fair few days where I've lost it and eaten half the house. But somehow I've been able to pick myself up and return to moderation the next day, rather than just having day after day of gluttony!!

Thanks for the encouragement all xx

cricketmum84 · 30/06/2021 14:09

Amazing @HolaVida you must be so happy with yourself!

I managed to get down to 13.6 this morning so that's 6lbs for this month.

Target for July is to get under 13 and into the 12s. I actually can't believe I am saying that!!!

I'll get the July thread set up later this evening.

Trying out my fancy new bath lift tonight with my ultra posh bath goodies. I've told DH and DC that the only way they will be allowed near the bathroom is if they have a glass of wine in their hand 😂😂

SW 81kg
CW 80.2kg
GW 69kg

Vast loss of 100g! I guess it's a loss and not gain.

Still feeling really positive though my mindset has changed and I am eating far healthier and nailing at least 15k steps a day.

Not sure why the loss is so slow but I'll just keep going.
