Hi all! I'm back with a bang! Thank you so much for the other lovely thread ladies who have taken care of this monthly thread while I have been ill. I'm starting to get a bit better now, my diabetes seems to be under control and I'm getting a little feeling back in my legs although I am still immobile and in chronic pain which makes exercise hard.

Anyway back to the main point! This is our ongoing thread for anyone who would like to try to lose 7lbs per month! There is a lovely mix of people on here all following different plans and regimes. All are welcome whether newbies, old timers, lurkers whatever! All we ask for is the supportive positive experience that everyone has had so far.

Previous thread is here May lose 7lb / 3kg per month thread http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/4233945-May-lose-7lb-3kg-per-month-thread

My stats are:
SW 25st 2lbs
CW 13st 12lbs
Loss so far: 11st 4lbs
Loss for May: 10lbs
Target for end of June: 13st 5lbs

Good luck everyone and here's to an amazing sunny June!

That's fantastic @ImFree2doasiwant well done! I know what you mean about the half stone targets. I set myself a target of 12 stone loss 2 and a half years ago and I'll be honest that was terrifying. But just taking it that half stone at a time makes such a difference. I'm at almost 11 and a half stone loss now but have extended my target for another stone or two or until I'm happy.

Thanks @Lovesacake I know what you mean about different clothing, I love my floaty Boho type dresses and love that I can stick a belt with them to show off my new waist, they hide the awful saggy bits!

Welcome back @FraserBear ❤️

@LadyOfLittleLeisure I'll have a look at the IPL thanks :)

Thank you for all the birthday wishes this week, I'm feeling very loved and spoilt! Sorry I've been a bit absent, it's crazy busy at work and I'm doing 12-13 hour days to keep up. I'm flipping exhausted! So glad it's Friday!

Can I join? I lost weight successfully last year, but then had a huge deterioration in my health that left for me bed bound for six months and I gradually put it all back on again Sad

I started last week and am down a pound or so. I can't really exercise much so I have to be really strict with calorie control.

Start weight 15.03 stone.
Goal weight 10.2 stone.

I have a special event next March to look forward to, so want to lose most of that before then. Hopefully it will also help my pain levels to not be lumping all the extra weight around!

HolaVida · 11/06/2021 13:10

Hi @Tallpaulwho welcome Grin

I’ve been away for over a week and am a little nervous to go on the scales - maybe I’ll brave it tomorrow.

Didn’t go crazy whilst away but wasn’t possible to have the really restrained days that I try to have once or twice a week.

Was hot weather while I was away and my thighs rubbed - absolutely brilliant motivation to keep on going with weight loss, another stone and that doesn’t happen Star

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 11/06/2021 14:05

Can I join you? I stumbled across the thread this morning and it has inspired me, finally, to start doing something about the last 15 months'-worth of lockdown weight / stress eating and drinking / pure indulgence.

I've just been for my first run in months and have done something very painful to my back...hopefully it is just a minor setback but at least it meant I didn't spend my lunchbreak cooking and eating cheesy pasta! (I am going to have cheesy pasta for dinner, and some wine...there's only so much I can change in one go, and it is Friday after all).

Not having my thighs rub is a goal of mine. I used to love wearing floaty skirts and dresses, now I live in jeans and trackie bottoms. I have been on some fave clothes sites looking at their summer stuff to try and motivate me Smile

Weigh in day for me. Just the 1lb off this week which takes me to 13st 9lb and I'm only overweight!!!!! I haven't been overweight since I had kids and my eldest turns 17 this year!!!!

Very giddy and determined to have a huge push to eat even better over the next week 🥰🥰🥰

@Tallpaulwho these are an absolute flipping lifesaver for me. I wouldn't be without them. Even my friend who is a size ten gets a little bit of fun still and loves them too.

@cricketmum84 Well done! Moving into the overweight category is brilliant, you are doing so well. Just think the next milestone will be going from ‘overweight’ to ‘healthy’...you are nearly there!

cricketmum84 · 12/06/2021 08:26

@Lovesacake I know I'm so excited!! The top healthy weight for my height is 11st 5lbs so I reckon I could be there in maybe 5 months!

Really chuffed to have lost a couple of lb since last weigh in, especially as I've been away for a week, and ate various amounts of rubbish.

Well done to @cricketmum84 for getting to overweight! that's brilliant news Star

LadyOfLittleLeisure · 12/06/2021 17:46

Well done @cricketmum84 - chuffed for you :)

PassTheVinoTinto · 13/06/2021 03:20

Late to the party but please can I join you all?

There is some very impressive weight losses on this thread and so I am hoping that this thread will give me motivation.

I've recently put weight on due to various reasons, which I'm trying to change. I knew I'd put weight on but I've been avoiding the scales!

Anyway my plan is to get my FitBit back up and working, cut out the alcohol (might need a name change!) and start logging my food.

GW 69.0kg

cricketmum84 · 13/06/2021 09:49

Right! This week is all about being organised and prepared to get a better loss next weekend!

I've just done my full week meal plan, calculated my carbs and input everything on to the ww app so I know I'm within points each day!

I am going to smash this week :)

PassTheVinoTinto · 13/06/2021 11:29

@cricketmum84 think I might come round yours for the week, meal plan sounds lovely Grin

Fitbit up and running and 10k steps already done, I am feeling very inspired!

Well done everyone, my week's update...
SW 96.6
Cw 93.3

I've been doing OMAD and trying to do low carbs but always. Lots of exercise this week.

Good luck for next week.

Almost 2lb down over the weekend! delighted, it's only the second time EVER (since starting this in Oct) that I've lost over the weekend, normally that's when I gain it all Grin.

Going to go for it this week, and try get under 12st.

@Harmonyrays, for the last few days I've effectively been doing OMAD - do you do it every day or only part of the week? I'm really pleased with the weightloss, but don't know if I could do it 7 days a week!!

cricketmum84 · 14/06/2021 07:42

I used to do OMAD 5 days a week and it seemed to work quite well for me.

I'm not allowed now though on advice of my diabetic nurse.

But the low carbing is definitely working :)

Brilliant losses for the weekend :)

Happy Monday! The start of a brand new week! I am feeling the determination today. I have a diabetes review next Monday and have already lost a stone since diagnosis so I'm hoping for a nice little jump down so I can show off to the nurse 😂

I'm trying to drink more water too, and get more fruit and veg in. And I'm staying away from the scales until Saturday.

Good luck everyone and have a lovely week!

After plateauing over the weekend I had a sudden loss this morning Smile

PassTheVinoTinto · 14/06/2021 11:28

Morning everyone, thought I'd weigh myself to start off 'properly' and I've put weight on! Think the scales must be dodgy, anyway I'll go with it and potential lose 5kg or who knows what week Grin

My Fitbit is up and working and I am logging my food, just downloaded a 7 min workout and intend to do a couple of those a day. Just deciding on whether to join a gym.

When do you all weigh yourselves?

CW 82.9kg
GW 69kg

Tallpaulwho · 14/06/2021 13:29

Weigh in day for me at the end of my first week, have lost just under 2kgs which is great. Been super strict with my calories and it's paid off Smile.

However that first week loss is always great, I know it will slow down now.

plixy · 15/06/2021 07:04

I've lost my first stone! 😃
Two more weeks until my holiday so hoping to lose a couple more pounds before my daughter insists I go swimming with her!
