spottyshoes · 02/11/2007 19:31

Good menus Elloise & KatyB. Evenings can be tricky - they're my snacky time too.

Brekkie: Optivia with Berries (special offer at Tescos so will be eating it for a month!)
11'ses: Slice No sugar Banana cake
Lunch: Smoked Salmon and l/f philly bagel
Dinner: Homemade meatballs in tomato & veggie sauce with spaghetti
Pud: l/f Caramel Panacotta
Glass of red wine.

Had visitors this morning and been with family all pm so probably wouldnt have had the cake and pud otherwise

Hope you have a good weekend Tangerine!

pollywollydoodle · 02/11/2007 21:00

welcome back katyb!

Must say i haven't been a size 12 since an affair with the gym in the late 80s....must say my 18s are comfy and i'm aiming for the comfy 16s....I'm very apple shaped (the most unhealthy shape all you lucky pears ) so the bums are always ok but the waists are tight...

anyway am off to the outlaws this weekend....am expecting to be very moderate because i don't have free access to all of their kitchen cupboards without them noticing!

today
brekkie...crumpets and marmite

lunch... almond croissant and cappuccino

eve....tortellini with veggie sauce and broccolli and a bit of halva

tonight....a choc halloween lolly from thorntons.(far too nice for dd!! She can eat the multicoloured marshmallow etc)

spottyshoes · 02/11/2007 21:11

I love your style of writing Polly - always makes me giggle! Also Looooooove your lunch choice today!!!!

I've also become the dreaded apple shape since putting on weight. I loved being pg as I found I actually went down a dress size in matty stuff as they had 'give' in the waist area

Its also nice to know that outlaws are good for something!!

spottyshoes · 02/11/2007 21:13

Whats halva btw?

pollywollydoodle · 02/11/2007 22:28

evening spottyshoes, thank you for the compliment!

halva is gorgeous it is a block of crushed sweetened sesame seed paste(i think!) and this one has whole almonds in it....very calorific but even i find it hard to eat much of it

my body size also went down during pregnancy as the bub filled the slackened space that was already available around my middle....(unfortunately i didn't really recognise this until after the birth and the few photos people took during pregnancy show me drowning in outsize clothes....the multicoloured shorts from blooming marvellous were a particular disaster....)

fireflyfairy2 · 03/11/2007 14:51

Hi girls

I went well on Thursday & Friday. But Friday night was a huge challenge! I went to a party & had a burger, a sausage & a few vol au vonts, some sweets & nuts...

Anyway climbed back on the wagon today & had had:

Breakfast: apple & banana & a coffee.

And just whilst I was typing this I have had a gingerbread man that ds left sat beside me.. he will probably come looking for it in a minute

spottyshoes · 03/11/2007 20:04

Can I give a big Boooo Hiisssss to fireworks now that I have a baby . It's going to be a long night.

Brekkie: Yoghurt, half a pear & banana, apple
11'ses: slice of banana bread
Lunch: wholemeal pitta with l/f cheese, 1/4 Avocado & pepperdew spicy peppers.
Dinner: Homemade fishcake with half a baked potato, asparagus, green beans & peas. Blob of l/f mayo.
Glass of red wine

Sharing food with babyshoes is really good as it halves alot of my portions!

Hope everyone's had a good day!

spottyshoes · 03/11/2007 20:05

Halva sounds 'interesting' will keep my eye out for it. Or is it highly addictive and therefore something I should probably avoid??!?!

LoveAngel · 03/11/2007 20:59

Ooooh halva, yum! Haven't had it for years (my mum used to love it).

Was slightly indulgent yesterday. Had friends round for dinner and had a few some nuts & crisps (not excessive amounts like I usually would, though!), a hearty plate of spag bol and salad (no yummy crusty bread, though), and raspberries w/ ice cream (oops!)...oh... and lots of wine!

Been good today - toast for brek, fruit and a very small chicken salad sandwich for lunch, scrambled eggs 4 dinner, snacked on more fruit.

Going out for Sunday lunch tomorrow - will try very hard not to be a piglet

fireflyfairy2 · 04/11/2007 12:38

Yesterday went rapidly downhill for me!

I ended up having crisps & a bar of chocolate

But back on track today!

Breakfast was:

Banana, pineapple, strawberries, grapes & a plum, covered with cranberry muller light

Dinner will be chicken, potatoes & veg!

spottyshoes · 04/11/2007 18:16

Yay 2 lbs off for me this week!

Brekkie: toast & marmite
Lunch: Salmon & l/f philly bagel
Dinner: Roast Lamb, sweet potato, butternut squash annd 2 potatoes. Swede, carrots, sprouts green beans
Pudding: toffee and pecan roulade
Birthday Cake.
2 glasses of red wine (one with dinner and one later)

LoveAngel · 04/11/2007 21:49

Day off for me today.

Lunch: Roast beef, roast potatoes, carrots, leeks, peas; followed by lemon drizzle cake & cream & 3 glasses of wine

No dinner for me tonight, just lots of water! Back on track tomorrow...

LoveAngel · 04/11/2007 21:49

p.s. have lost 2lbs in 4 days so not bad going

fireflyfairy2 · 04/11/2007 21:54

Fantastic spotty & Loveangel Well Done

I have just had a pkt of crisps to top off an already very indulgent weekend

mylittlefreya · 05/11/2007 07:25

I'm baaaack!!!

Katybump it's good to see you, well done on the move!

susiec I'm sorry things are so tough for you, and pollywollydooooodle too. (I miss the ghostly 'oooo')

I put on 4lb whilst away - we walked loads, but I guess puddings twice a day and wine every night was just too much for it. Sigh - v disappointing, but enjoyable tho!

The hardest thing is when you've gone back to eating more you feel hungrier again. But have had 3 alcohol free nights since we got back so I am ready to be trying again.

mylittlefreya · 05/11/2007 07:26

Also well done spottyshoes and loveangel, very impressed!

BeetrootMNRoyalty · 05/11/2007 07:38

I think I need to join in - but guess you have all lost most of your stone by now?

LoveAngel · 05/11/2007 07:57

mylittlefreya - don't despair I have decided I am not going to beat myself up when I have a nice Sunday roast or go on holiday and enjoy my food. There is always tomorrow, eh?

Beetroot - never too late to join! i have only been on the thread a few days, and a few other newcomers here too. Join in!

BeetrootMNRoyalty · 05/11/2007 07:59

Okay - I need to lose 10 pounds

spottyshoes · 05/11/2007 10:18

WEll done loveangel, Mmmm love lemon drizzle cake!

4lbs isnt bad going for a holiday m.l.f I'm away in 2 weeks and usually put on about 7lbs!!! The most important thing is you had a great time.

Welcome BeetrootMNRoyalty I have been here from the beginning (1st October) and have only lost 6lbs!!! So you wont have to work too hard to catch me up!!

Has anyone managed the stone yet? or is anyone close?

laloupgarou · 05/11/2007 11:18

Just popping into say hi to everyone, haven't had time to catch up with the thread yet. Had a great time in Copenhagen but found it hard to avoid the danish pastries lol. Will weigh myself tomorrow and get back into it again.

All the best for today x

pollywollydoodle · 05/11/2007 12:55
