Welcome to the new thread!

Hi everyone
Nice new thread will hopefully kickstart my motivation again. I was doing ok until mid-week and then went a bit astray. Had some wine and a Chinese takeaway on Saturday night, mega calories. Then was out yesterday for Sunday lunch and dh and I went into town for a walk around the shops and then went to the pub for a couple of drinks. Wine plays havoc with weight loss so have put on 2.5lbs, eek!!!! That's now just a 2lbs loss overall. Will be extra good today, drink heaps of water to try to redeem myself. I'm off to (wonderful, wonderful...) Copenhagen tomorrow so won't be online from then. Will speak to you all next week. Good luck, katybumpers.

Hi to fireflyfairy2

fireflyfairy2 · 29/10/2007 09:53

Hello laloup!

at you heading off to Copenhagen! Good for you girl!

And from what I remember you were sex on legs the way you were! Enjoy yourself

I have had some fruit salad for breakfast, banana, orange & plum.

I have to go to uni now at 10am & will be there to 3pm. I might have a chance to stop for lunch, if I do it will be from the salad bar, if I don't then I will take along an apple to snack on!

Dinner tonight is pasta with dh's sauce & mozarella. He makes his sauce with a rasher of bacon per person, some onions sauteed & a couple of mushrooms sliced thinly & a wee bit of green pepper. Adds a tin of tomatoes & some tomato puree & garlic! Yum!

laloupgarou · 29/10/2007 10:05

Lol I wish....thanks for the encouragement though, fff2! Think I'm deluding myself that I'll ever get back to pre-ds2 weight of just over 9 stone but hey you never know....

Well done on your 1.5 stones already, go girl ! Will have to get another NI meetup arranged soon.

pollywollydooooooooodle · 29/10/2007 11:00

hello gingernutlover
i think most of us are doing a cutting back, stepping up the excercise regime (tho from some of my recent posts you'd be hard pushed to know that i'd cut back!)...there has been mention of weightwatchers and syns(whichever that one is)along the way..

anyway am like the grand old duke of york this week ...neither up nor down...could have been worse ...and for me not putting any on during half term with all the extra eating out is an acheivement....mind you next week i want to go down again! (thats 3 lb altogether)

spottyshoes the double chocca mocha has 94 cals and is a good choccie hit if you want one and don't mind not crunching anything.....

pollywollydooooooooodle · 29/10/2007 11:06

was on the old page....well done MLFreya enjoy your hols...and you laloup (you auld lush )

looks like a healthy days food fff2,good luck!

FrightOwl · 29/10/2007 18:55

Hi all,
havent posted in a while as i was a bit ashamed! i havent been as strict as i should and have had a really rubbish week with food choices, lots of stuff going on.

so i weighed myself last night and didnt believe the scales (got off and on about 6 times to make sure). ten stone 8 they are telling me.

i still didnt quite believe it although my trousers are getting loose so tonight when i got home i decided to try on some things.

i can get back in my size twelves comfortably! i havent eaten white bread for about 4 weeks now and feel so much better for it. im not a fan of wholemeal bread but ive been buying the warbutons seeded which makes it more bearable.

funny how those few pounds can make such a difference, i feel so much better in myself even though noone else has noticed!

not bad, i was almost eleven stone when i started..its given me just the amount of motivation i need to carry on. (that sparkly frock WILL be mine i tell you).

how are you all?

FrightOwl · 29/10/2007 19:00

oh, someone asked about the "sin and slim" (cant remember who it was). you can find it online, its not much to join (no-where near as much as weightwatchers etc) thats the diet im roughly strictly following. its tailored to your own needs, with lots of menu ideas. they will email and text you with advice too when you need it.

tangarine · 29/10/2007 19:50

Well done FrightOwl!

spottyshoes · 29/10/2007 19:52

Well done frightowl - more steps closer to the sparkly dress!!!!!

I'll join you on the weight gain lalou . Enjoy yourself in Copenhagen - not at all jealous!

Well done for sticking this week Polly! especially with all the extras! I'm only half way through my first box of double mochas and bought them last week so quite pleased with myself

I've put on a lb so a 4lb overall loss for me. I'm happy with it though as thought it would be alot more having eaten lunch out twice, and dinner out at pizza hut & chippy Not really a diet week for me - must try harder this week!

I just weighed myself and I've lost another pound, so total weight loss so far is 6lb, nearly half a stone
I had a friend round yesterday who I hadn't seen for a couple of weeks and she asked 'have you lost a load of weight?'
It's so good to see results at last (my bum's no smaller though).
Keep up the good work everyone.
