I'm the fattest I have ever been and need to take drastic action for the sake of my health and sanity. I am 15st8 🤦‍♀️ was a stone lighter at nine months pregnant!!

Going to weigh in every Monday and hoping some of you lovely ladies will join me so we can keep each other motivated.

Don't mind me, I'm just over here ordering new scales because mine said "error" when I stood on them this morning 😭

Brew detox of course.
AIMD · 29/12/2020 17:29

Can I join. I severely lack motivation and my biggest issue is relaxing equals eating nice food.

tea69 · 29/12/2020 17:59

To the posters who are saying they will start in a few days/Jan 1st/after January birthdays, etc... START NOW!

MrsSlocombesPussy · 29/12/2020 18:20

@tea69 and that's why I'm fat! As a compromise I will start on 1st January, but have a day off for DD's birthday on the 8th? I won't overdo it with the takeaway anyway, as she's choosing one I don't particularly like, so that's a help!

InTheNorth123 · 29/12/2020 20:13

Hi, I'd like to join please! I joined a weight loss thread in summer and lost 7lbs but I have put a stone on since then 🥴
I now weigh 14 stone (approximately), I'm 5ft6 and a size 16/18. I feel awful. If I'd kept up the diet the first time round then I'd be close to my goal weight, but now I'm further away than when I first started!

I need to make sure I weigh out pasta and rice etc as I'm not good as guessing portion sizes so I overeat without always realising. Chocolate and biscuits are a weakness. I've bought some snack packs of party rings and Jammie dodgers for a treat every now and then, and that helps as I don't end up eating 1000 calories like I would with a normal packet of biscuits!

I would like to join, I need to lose 2 stone to get back to a healthy weight. Started a few days ago and have been calorie counting as well as making sure I walk over 10,000 steps. I also completed a half hour workout today. Will try to keep on the diet but will exclude New Year’s Eve dinner.

What are you doing to get your steps in? Are you doing one long walk or walking more through the day. I’ve been doing a walk each day with the kids but struggling to make 10 thousand steps!
Bobbiepin · 29/12/2020 20:29

Met my calorie, workout & water goals today but way off on the steps. I'll be able to get that back up when I go back to work so not worried about that for now.

How was everyone else's day?

Sonnet18 · 29/12/2020 20:35

Well done to everyone so far.

I went a walk with the kids and did a half hour body attack. *AIMDy steps are at 16k today. An hour’s walk and a bit of housework/ supermarket shopping would usually see me get my 10k.

bluebluezoo · 29/12/2020 21:06

I’ve had toothache for the last 3 days so have eaten nothing but 2 slices of toast on a morning, a few cups of tea, and toast or crackers on an evening. Prob about 500 cals each day.

I’ve put 2 lbs on 🙄

AlohaMolly · 29/12/2020 21:21

bluebluezoo last year when I lost weight consistently, I measured weekly and, after a few months, saw a pattern. The female body is so complex, I would gain weight 4/5days before my period, then seem like I would lose 3-4 pounds the week after, but if you looked at it over the month you could see the loss, if that makes sense?

EsmeeMerlin · 29/12/2020 21:35

@AIMD

I go for a walk for at least an hour each day and then I am on my feet a lot with my two sons. I like going on my walk as it not only gets my steps up but also gives me an hour out of the house child free which I find I need since we entered tier 4 in London.

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo · 29/12/2020 22:28

Can anyone suggest some nice, filling breakfasts please? I ate lots of overnight oats when I did SW before, but I don't really like them Grin. However I was working and they were easy to take to work and eat during hand over. I'm not working anymore so have more time (but less money) to make something.

tea69 · 29/12/2020 22:34

I've had a very busy day where food and exercise has not been the focus! Only done little over 5,000 steps and food has been picky!

Still, onwards and downwards!

HenslowesDiary · 30/12/2020 00:50

Am in!

Will weigh in the morning but I am 17 stone+ and a stone heavier than I was last year.

Currently isolating so exercise has been hard (non existent actually), and haven't been able go to shops for fresh food so eating Christmas leftovers & takeaways Sad.

Am allowed out on the 31st and desperate to go for a long walk somewhere!

I need to have somewhere to be accountable so will report back.

EspressoExpresso · 30/12/2020 00:59

How very true...

Fattest I've ever been, time to take action, who's with me
Backtoblack1 · 30/12/2020 05:52

Can I join please? I’m at my heaviest ever. Need to drop 2 stone. Also not moving enough so would like to get my steps up x

Aspiringmatriarch · 30/12/2020 06:05

I'm in! I have no idea if I'll manage to do it this time but I really need to. Good luck everyone.

AGoatsbawhairaway · 30/12/2020 06:13

My people!

I'm disgusted with myself, have put on 2 1/2 stone over lockdown due to lack of exercise, mental health and pure laziness and bad habits.

Plan on starting on Monday properly, but I'm easing myself in over the next few days.

Need to cut out the wine, mindless snacking and start moving again.

I'm planning on doing WW as that worked for me a few years back, walking 10k a day (will walk half an hour before and after work on a pretend commute as pretty much wfh for the long term) and also would like to do some Jillian Michaels work outs again

Sonnet18 · 30/12/2020 07:41

Morning everyone, just saw on Facebook that Les Mills on demand (stream workouts to your home) is doing a free 30 day trial. I used to love body attack, grit and body combat but obviously gyms are closed, I’m fat and lazy and using every excuse under the sun not to do them...however, it’s free and can be done from home so I feel I should give it a go!

Sonnet18 · 30/12/2020 07:42

agoatsbawhairaway firstly, love your name 😂
Secondly, yes to Jillian Michaels! She’s tough but I love her!

AlohaMolly · 30/12/2020 08:28

Morning all!

In terms of breakfast, I know you said you’d done overnight oats to death, but could you do porridge? I’ve had porridge with cinnamon and topped it with a plum and a banana the last few days and it’s kept me very full - 40g oats and it all comes to around 329 calories.

Scrambled/poached egg on toast? If you add beans it’s one of your five a day too. If you’ve got time, could you do a sort of mini full breakfast? Eggs, beans, some sort of mushroom and tomato scramble?

Nigella did a Turkish eggs thing that I do a bastardised version of. Greek yoghurt with a bit of salt and a crushed garlic clove, warmed up a bit, poached egg on top. She does a chilli butter over the top too, if I do it I just mix paprika with butter and melt in the microwave Blush it sounds weird but it’s surprisingly nice!

I love me a good breakfast. We didn’t go out to eat dinner much pre Covid, but I would have breakfast out by myself once a week and I didn’t realise how much I valued a little treat.

Guardup · 30/12/2020 08:35

I’m in. I’ve put on about 1.5 stone since lockdown and struggling into my size 14 clothes.

To prove it I’m getting my running gear on right now and going to attempt a 4K.

Wish me luck!
