I'm the fattest I have ever been and need to take drastic action for the sake of my health and sanity. I am 15st8 🤦‍♀️ was a stone lighter at nine months pregnant!!

Going to weigh in every Monday and hoping some of you lovely ladies will join me so we can keep each other motivated.

I want to join in!! I need motivation. I cant stop eating! This is the biggest I've ever been too. No one of my clothes fit and I refuse to buy more.
New year new me!! Haha

Levirandal · 29/12/2020 08:31

Yesterday was okay until an evening meal of heavy pasta. But my back and knees ache and having two children with Sen I really really need to sort my health out for them. The plan is to drink a lot of water, cut out crap and once the kids go back to school do more walking again with the dog.

MakeWorkYourNewFavourite · 29/12/2020 09:18

I'd like to join you! I was 146.6 kilos un September. I'm now 127.5. I think I win the Biggest Fatty award. I put on 4 kilos over Christmas. I need to get back on track. With such a massive amount to lose, it's very daunting. I can't believe I've done this to myself. But I will do this. I'm 42, have a DD aged 3. I can't leave her on her own.

HumphreyGoodmanswife · 29/12/2020 09:22

Can I join in please! I really could do with losing a stone. Never been overweight before but my clothes are all starting to feel tight and uncomfortable. I just can't seem to get motivated so sit and eat crisps instead Blush

AlohaMolly · 29/12/2020 09:25

Morning all! The plan today is to go for a longer walk up into the hills in search of snow, but I couldn’t sleep last night so feel really shitty today!

I weighed in this morning and am still 17.5 stone, so no weight gain in December, which is something I suppose.

Meals will be pretty similar today - porridge and fruit for breakfast, cheese and pate for lunch. Not sure about dinner yet, maybe a stew maybe a curry, can’t remember if I’ve got meat for a stew!

katand2kits · 29/12/2020 10:54

Morning! First day off the Xmas food today. Dinners planned for the next three days. Found a good recipe blog called "slimming eats" with loads of ideas. Can't get out for a walk because the weather is awful so I will try to get some exercise by doing some cleaning up.

Xwvhtsghyf · 29/12/2020 13:45

Morning, I saw someone had mentioned Chloe Ting (I had never heard of her before). Decided to try and kick start the weight loss by starting the two week workouts. I have found a few on YouTube does anyone know is it just two videos daily?

I completed two and am exhausted but got very sweaty and abs are now achy so hopefully this works 😀

TheABC · 29/12/2020 13:49

Add me in. I do well on IF (15/9), cutting out sugar and alcohol. I am starting for NYD, for that but the running plan starts today!

IHateCoronavirus · 29/12/2020 14:36

Me too please! I’m 5ft 3” and 88kg down from 94.3kg! My biggest yet. I turned 40 during lockdown and spent the time baking with the DC! Cheese scones with butter are not good for me! Blush
I want to get down to 64 kg. I am quite busty and if I get much lower than 62 people start asking me if I’m ill. I was 64 for years before I lost DD and subsequently had my youngest. Stress eating has seen me gain 30kg in 6 years! Hmm
Good luck everyone, we can do it!

SquirtleSquad · 29/12/2020 14:58

I'll do my first weight in on Monday. It's so hard this week with the kids home and SO much crap food in the house Sad
Spoke to the hospital today and looking like operation will be March and I can't have it unless my BMI is

JonHammIsMyJamm · 29/12/2020 15:46

Feel like crap today thanks to an awful night’s sleep.

Yesterday wasn’t too bad on the calories front but the food wasn’t all great (lots of carbs, some chocolate, then a pear for dinner because I wasn’t hungry, followed by a bourbon and more chocolate Hmm). Also missed my 10k steps by 9. So annoying. I didn’t realise until this morning or I’d have done the extra few on the spot before I got into bed! I know it makes no difference in the grand scheme but I like to see the goal met.

So far today I’ve had a fair day. Not my finest but given that I feel like shite, I’m cutting myself some slack. 7k steps thus far, egg & avocado on brown toast for breakfast, a few chocolates and a danish at about 2:30pm. Supposed to be having turkey curry at 7pm but don’t fancy it. Maybe just another pear. I might go to bed for an hour or two. Today would’ve been fine, food wise, without the pastry & chocs. Bin the sugar. I ate them because I was craving sugar thanks to knackeredness (and they taste bloody delicious).

@PeggyMoo, I’ve got a couple of fitbits (older models that have been ‘upgraded’ with gifts. DH bought me a Versa 3 to upgrade my Blaze (which was an upgrade to a Charge HR). It’s nice. A much more aesthetically pleasing piece of kit. The strap is fiddlier to put on though (threads like an Apple Watch strap not like a trad watch strap). It has a few more features but I doubt I’ll use them. The charger is better too (a magnetic type one rather than a clasp/cage one you have to clip the watch face into).

AlohaMolly · 29/12/2020 15:56

1,064 calories so far - I had Wensleydale and cranberry and blue Stilton and pate with some crackers for lunch, and then followed it with two quality streets, a mini double decker and a mini pack of he Cadbury’s snack bar Hmm not sure what’s for tea yet.

Me and DS went for a lovely walk, up into the hills. Didn’t reach the snow but got 140 active minutes over 8,200 steps.

MyFitnessPal doesn’t seem to be syncing with my garmin properly - it’s showing as 651 calories burned, which I think is right for the number of steps but hasn’t accounted for the active minutes.

Smiledwiththerisingsun · 29/12/2020 16:23

Hello everyone. I am so up for this!
I have 3 stone to lose.
I have eaten so much chocolate & drunk too much alcohol over this Christmas stuck in Tier 4 and am ready to get back on the wagon.

On the plus side have been doing heaps of walking 2-3 hours a day but my swimming pool has been closed. Which is the thing that keeps me sane.
Back at the lido next week and am insanely excited! 😆

Just need to try and stop having a cheeky port of an afternoon 🙄

I'm thinking it would be a good idea to cut out sugar & alcohol first.
Then maybe do a cleansing detox week full of fruit n veg.
I'll post what I eat here for accountability.

Have not drunk any alcohol today & did a 2 hour walk.
Tea/coffee Egg sandwich for breakfast
Onion soup for lunch
Chocolates & cuppa tea so far 🙄

Smiledwiththerisingsun · 29/12/2020 16:27

Oh will weigh in properly on 1st!
(Can't quite bring myself to look at the scales 😬)

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo · 29/12/2020 16:29

Me too. I need to lose at least 10 stone. I don't know where to start though.
I have crippling anxiety, going for a walk is so hard for me mentally (and physically). I've got an exercise bike I can use. And I've done SW before so I know the basics of that. I just get bored of the breakfasts and then eat junk.

IHateCoronavirus · 29/12/2020 16:41

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo I suffer from boredom too. I make a good start then start to pick (reasoning it will only gag up to an extra few calories) picking turns to grazing, grazing turns to binging! Blush
I’m determined to not give in this time.

Christmas week helped me to pull up my socks. I’ve lost each week since middle of November, then last week was pretty good apart from the odd pick when dishing up everyone else’s food. Christmas Day I had off but didn’t go wild. And I gained 500g! Sad I just need to put up with the boredom.

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo · 29/12/2020 16:43

Well done @IHateCoronavirus. I've ordered loads of yummy cheese for new years eve, so in my head its not worth starting until then. Although it probably is.

NatMoz · 29/12/2020 16:46

I'm genuinely frightened to weigh myself too!!

I exercise but also eat for 2 (not pregnant so no reason for it) which is my downfall.

A blanket of snow arrived this morning so I did a 6 mile run while it was still fresh and fluffy then did a 5 mile walk this afternoon.

It's a start and I've not been a pig today at least haha

sobsanta · 29/12/2020 16:47

My trainers, leggings, and sports bra arrived today. Tomorrow, no matter what the weather is like, I'm going to do run one of the Couch to 5k with the dog.

Bobbiepin · 29/12/2020 16:49

@Xwvhtsghyf go to chloeting.com and the programmes are all there. Choose one ot follow and the icons click through to the youtube video. I'm sure you could set up a playlist or whatever for each day but top much effort for me!

IHateCoronavirus · 29/12/2020 16:54

sobsanta ooh I’m very tempted to join you. (I have shit knees, which had been putting me off up to now) I love the idea of doing a charity run or something in future in remembrance of my DD but I’m a bit frightened of deciding to do it and not actually following through with it, if that makes sense? Maybe I should stop worrying and just give it a go.
Anyone with arthritis done c25k?

@WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo I feel you on the anxiety. DS is 4 and it was only doing the pick up school run in September when I realised I haven’t walked anywhere on my own since he was born, and even then I had a dog. I had shaky hands and anxious lungs for about a fortnight, doing the walk home and walk to school on my own!
WutheringShites86 · 29/12/2020 17:01

Does anyone know of a way to account for breastfeeding calories on mfp? I'm on the free version not premium.

If not I thought perhaps I could set my goal to lose 0.5 lbs a week then the extra calories used feeding might average out at a 1lb loss even though I can't log it .

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo · 29/12/2020 17:04

@AlohaMolly its so hard isn't it! Well done on getting out. My dc are teens so I don't even have to do the school run. Someone on my street WhatsApp was giving away a running machine recently. I wasn't sure I had room for it and by the time I decided I needed the machine more than I need space it had gone :(

Hugbear · 29/12/2020 17:08

Same here. I'm breastfeeding so am constantly hungry. I used to do yoga and pilates but can barely lift myself now.
