I'm the fattest I have ever been and need to take drastic action for the sake of my health and sanity. I am 15st8 🤦‍♀️ was a stone lighter at nine months pregnant!!

Going to weigh in every Monday and hoping some of you lovely ladies will join me so we can keep each other motivated.

May I join you as well please? I'm 40, 5'7'' and wear a size 18-20. I weigh a lot more than anyone who has posted their weight so really need to do something.

I lost over 2 stone a couple of years back but then my meds seemed to stop working so I stopped exercising, put in weight, then started taking Mirtazapine (or lard tablets as I renamed them due to the ridiculous amount of weight I put on in the 4 weeks I was on them!) All my motivation of a few years ago has gone, I need to get it back. Hopefully joining in with you will help.

I'm also going to sign up to Red January and reduce the amount of alcohol I drink. Fingers crossed 🤞

tea69 · 28/12/2020 01:16

Can I please join? I'm the heaviest I've ever been and need to lose 2 stone. I start when I wake up - Monday morning!

bluebluezoo · 28/12/2020 06:27

@hangnailing how tall are you? How much do you want to lose?

MattTebbutsForearms · 28/12/2020 07:02

I'm in! I like summerstorms idea of losing 2.5lbs a week until reaching 11 stone.
I've just worked out that it would take me 5-6 months, and I'm 50 in May so good timing / goal to aim for.

Made a start 2 weeks ago cutting down and have lost 6lb already. No Christmas weight put on as of yet, so I'm weighing in this morning at 16st 1 (having previously been 16 st 7)

lovelemoncurd · 28/12/2020 07:15

Me. Right now.

EmmanuelleMakro · 28/12/2020 07:20

Me too!
Thanks -really need the company for this!
I haven’t dared weigh myself but have put on weight massively this year as usually keep it down by skiing in the winter and swimming in the summer and just not eating much.
This year have done none of the exercise and working from home in the summer term (teacher) didn’t notice the waist band clues as was not wearing proper clothes.. Autumn term was highly stressful with workload etc so no exercise and drinking too much. And so to now....
Will weigh in later and join y’all!

EmmanuelleMakro · 28/12/2020 07:33

Well five mins in and this is already motivational. There is an open air swimming pool near me which is open in tier 4 but did not bother joining as too much of a faff with a clunky app they use. Have just navigated through it and booked an early before work swim for next week (booked up till then) and going to aim to do two of those per week and walk to and from work on other days instead of driving. This week before school starts again am going to do a daily bike ride.
I have to do this now as have written it here...😀

Daybydayagain · 28/12/2020 07:35

I weighed in at 15st8.5 this morning. I’m disappointed to be back here again... My goal weight is 12st7. I would love to lose a stone before Valentine’s Day as a first goal.

Xwvhtsghyf · 28/12/2020 07:45

Hi, can I join as well? Currently at 15st 4 after two pregnancies and one baby being born at the beginning of lockdown I have just given up and have no self control!

LostaraYil · 28/12/2020 07:46

I'm in! I'm also the heaviest I've ever been and I need to either lose 2 stone or buy lots of new work clothes! The house is still full of snacks and chocolate from Christmas which is a problem for me, so I'm going to focus on lots of exercise for a few days and then cut right down on food from 1st Jan.

SameToo · 28/12/2020 08:14

Not the fattest I’ve been but so upset with myself. I was 5lbs off my goal weight, then life happened and now I’m just over a stone off it. So annoyed with myself as I a was seeing the benefits and enjoying the exercise. Need to get back into it but I’m struggling to motivate.

Tamtam86 · 28/12/2020 08:28

@matttebbutsforearms well done for avoiding the Christmas weight!

I need to cut down on booze, stop the unhealthy snacking and get back into exercise! I'm not great at sticking to things so I hope this will be good for my accountability! I really want to fit into some of my pre pregnancy summer clothes this year.

I'm currently 11 stone and want to get down to 9st by June.

Toomuch2019 · 28/12/2020 09:15

Can I join too please? I'm so heavy I daren't put the batteries into my electronic scales but may do for this!

Bobbiepin · 28/12/2020 09:17

I'd definitely recommend Jordan Syatt, I follow him on Instagram and its very simple, no BS advice. Works really well.

I kept to 1500kcal yesterday, did Chloe Ting workout and 14km on the bike. I didn't manage my steps so need to focus on that this week. Positive weigh in this morning.

w0rkout · 28/12/2020 09:17

Day one of three days of being 'good' then a takeaway New Year's Eve and then properly being good.

Just did a squat workout. Hideous!

DisgruntledPelican · 28/12/2020 09:18

Checking in. Also heavier than I was when pregnant, it’s awful :( my diet and lifestyle are so different to pre-pregnancy, too much has changed and it just seems overwhelming to get back to.

w0rkout · 28/12/2020 09:18

Goal weight is 9st. I dread to think how much I weigh right now..... may weigh in tomorrow

Tamtam86 · 28/12/2020 09:23

@disgruntledpelican I feel exactly the same! It really is overwhelming, I would love to get back to my pre pregnancy diet and active lifestyle but because it feels so far off I've just not done any of it Sad I'm going to try taking small steps to make it more manageable and hope one thing leads to another!

Melonlover80 · 28/12/2020 09:31

An open air swimming pool in tier 4 in december is open?!
newlabelwriter · 28/12/2020 09:33

Me too! I need to lose at least 2 stone.

When I think back to pre- pregnancy, and even early toddler years I was so much more active. I didn’t have a car, so cycled everywhere, then walked with the pram with the kids. Work, while computer based still was reasonably active, getting up to fetch a reference, book, the diary etc, physically going to speak to people etc. Now the kids are teens I have to drive most places as I’ll normally have one or the other with me, and at work I can sit in my chair and not move for 8 hours- everything is now computerised and we use skype to talk.

AlohaMolly · 28/12/2020 10:12

Morning all! I forgot to weigh in this morning, but I started my period last night and I can gain anything up to half a stone just before I start, so it probably would have skewed my figures!

I’ve had cinnamon porridge with a banana and a plum for breakfast, and MFP tells me thats 329 calories.

katand2kits · 28/12/2020 10:17

I'm in. I need to lose 20kg in order to be able to have prolapse repair surgery. I'm the biggest I've ever been with BMI of 37. Doing a diet roughly based on WW but without joining, using the internet for recipes etc and a free tracking app, and doing dry January for a good kick start.

DixieLandReject · 28/12/2020 10:27

Yes please! I have three stone to lose

EmmanuelleMakro · 28/12/2020 11:02

Yes, I was surprised too. The pool is heated and is always open all year -advertises as open 365 days- have been there on Christmas morning in the past. Apparently open air pools are allowed to open in Tier4.
On a less happy note -just weighed myself -11 stone 2lb -70 kilos. Ideally want to get down to under 10 stone by summer -was that weight summer 2019☹️
