I'm the fattest I have ever been and need to take drastic action for the sake of my health and sanity. I am 15st8 🤦‍♀️ was a stone lighter at nine months pregnant!!

Going to weigh in every Monday and hoping some of you lovely ladies will join me so we can keep each other motivated.

Feel much better now I’ve taken control . Have restarted on Lose it and deleted previous info. I get 1400 calories per day and I do struggle with that. I’m on day three now and have walked every day and stuck to my limit. I’m a teacher though so find it trickier once term starts. Have lost a pound so far.

smartiecake · 03/01/2021 18:11

Day 1 for me today. Doing 16:8 and calorie counting with MFP. My BMI is 35. I have a long way to go, probably 4 1/2 stone to lose.

Bambi1222 · 03/01/2021 18:15

Can I join I was 15.7 in January. Now 11.2 and have been since September. Want to be 10.5-10.7 but just cant be bothered anymore. Need the motivation again.

Iamclearlyamug · 03/01/2021 18:22

I’m a bit late to the party but can I join too? I’ve just hit 13st and thought enough is enough - I’ve got about 2 stone to lose. Starting tomorrow! I work a very physically active job so my exercise regime is perfect, it’s just controlling the food 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I’m a binge eater and can easily eat 8000 calories in a day when I’m on a bad day 😥😥

smartiecake · 03/01/2021 19:19

Bambi1222 well done that sounds amazing. What changes did you make before and are you looking to do something different this time to lose that last little bit?

Bambi1222 · 03/01/2021 19:43

@smartiecake I done calorie counting and outdoor excercise. Now the weather is crap ( I hate being cold) I have lost the excercise part. So need to start this again and stay calorie counting. So want a Chinese tonight but am staying stong. Just have to keep telling myself I'm walking dog in the morning to shop to get healthy food.

clpsmum · 03/01/2021 21:14

How has everyone been getting on? I've walked 7/8k most days and tried to be healthy but had a few cheats Confused first weigh in for me tomorrow so fingers crossed

Staringatthetiles · 03/01/2021 21:31

I’m really pleased with how well I’ve been getting on. I’ve stuck to my 3 targets for the last 3 days which are
Drink more water
Don’t eat after 6pm
Complete 30 days with yoga with Adriene

But other than the yoga, hoovering the house and a short walk I haven’t moved much today! I blame Netflix!

ConorMasonsWife · 03/01/2021 21:45

I've done terrible today. Well not terrible but about 1,600 calories which is about 400 more than my goal. Tried some 'this isn't bacon' as well this morning, it's vile 😅 I've felt rubbish emotionally though so it always makes more eat more, also didn't jog but tomorrow is a new day!

Bobbiepin · 03/01/2021 21:48

Totally lost it with food today but I did 30km on the bike, maybe got some form of balance in there.

Back on track tomorrow, hopefully with some more sleep tonight.

Bunnybigears · 03/01/2021 21:48

I'm starting tomorrow! Just ordered a spin bike and I'm planning on taking a healthy lunch to work as now we have to eat at our desks I shouldn't get too tempted. Evenjbg meals are trickier as lots of picky eaters to feed but I'm hoping healthy lunch, spinning and a smaller but not necessarily super healthy tea should shift some weight. I have 3 stone to loose before I am happy, 4 stone to be super happy.

Backtoblack1 · 03/01/2021 21:48

Tomorrow is the day to start in earnest! If you’re counting calories then have real bacon - the medallions aren’t high x

popsydoodle4444 · 03/01/2021 21:50

I was back in June;

22st 10lbs

Found out Christmas Eve I have type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease so need to keep going so will join you lovely ladies

tea69 · 03/01/2021 21:57

Looking forward to getting back into some sort of routine tomorrow!

I am starting low carb and need to get out to do w1 r2 of couch to 5k!

popsydoodle4444 · 03/01/2021 21:58

Fluid intake is a huge key to weightloss;I've seriously upped my fluid intake as didn't drink enough,I have a 2.2 litre water bottle with a handle and big flat flat bottom.I drink water with sugar free cordial.

As a general rule of thumb they recommend half an ounce of water per pound you weigh per day.

That's 7oz of water per stone

I at 18 11st need to drink about 3.9 lites of water per day

ConfusedcomMum · 03/01/2021 22:04

Anyone has any tips on how to lose weight whilst home schooling? We followed the Joe Wicks 'PE' channel during the first lockdown. Keeping a big bottle of water nearby sounds good. Going to be tricky I think...

SendHelp30 · 03/01/2021 22:05

@ConfusedcomMum plan your meals or even better; meal prep. You won’t want to waste it if it’s already made.
Joe wicks a good one. Make sure you’re going out for at least 1 good walk a day.
Plenty of water.
Do you have a Fitbit or similar to keep track of your steps?

ConfusedcomMum · 03/01/2021 23:33

@SendHelp30 I'm sure DH has one, will borrow it. Some good ideas thanks, will have to brave the freezing cold I guess! My biggest issue is snacking, especially crisps so will try to prepare some carrot and cucumber sticks first thing before DC wakes up and the chaos of home learning begins lol.

willingtolearn · 04/01/2021 08:10

Week 1 weigh in 10,6 - 1lb loss

It's not much but it's a start. I have completed my step challenge every day of 10-15,000 and completed it, but have not really tackled food (the real issue for me) This week's challenge is to log food honestly on MFP - I've tracked on and on off for years but not accurately.

Hope everyone has had a good week - some great results already. Well done to sobsanta, sonnet and Ihatecoronavirus.

EspressoExpresso · 04/01/2021 09:02

@fastwigglylines

I've never dieted before and I hardly exercise these days - where do I start?!
In simple terms, eat less, move more.

In reality though, it's a bit more than that. Depending on your lifestyle, how much you need to lose etc. Consistent small changes is a good way to do it.

EsmeeMerlin · 04/01/2021 09:09

I read somewhere to weigh in on a Monday so then you are more likely to stay motivated over the weekend so that’s what I will be doing. First weigh in today and I have lost 4lb so happy with that. That’s with a little under 100 cal treat every day and Pizza Hut and alcohol on New Year’s Eve.

PaddingtonB · 04/01/2021 09:26

0.5lbs loss for me. Not masses but it’s a start.

bluebluezoo · 04/01/2021 09:45

I’m 4lbs down after 2 weeks so not too bad after 2 big roast dinners with pudding christmas and new years day.

Still up 4lbs from mid-december, but at least I’m back on track.

Wish I could get back to my gym classes. Just can’t motivate at home. Can’t even go for a wander round the shop just to get moving as that’s can be 5k steps..

Fingerbobs · 04/01/2021 09:49

Ok so day three weigh in - 200g loss. A jar of Nutella! (Excluding the jar Grin) Am doing 16:8 and it’s ok so far....

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 04/01/2021 10:07

Morning. Day 1 for me.

I’m not doing a formal diet plan, I’ve done them in the past and found them hard to stick to or they’ve left me starving, eg 5:2 left me more likely to over eat on the ‘5’ days. My 2st weight gain (over 2.5yrs) is from big portions and snacking, so I’m going to eat 25% smaller portions and swap or cut out my snacks. I’m looking to lose 1st initially and see where I go from there.

So, Day 1 has begun with a small cereal bowl portion of Alpen with a splash of coconut water (I don’t like milk with cereal). Plus a pint of water (normal for me). It was probably just under 300 cals.
