I'm the fattest I have ever been and need to take drastic action for the sake of my health and sanity. I am 15st8 🤦‍♀️ was a stone lighter at nine months pregnant!!

Going to weigh in every Monday and hoping some of you lovely ladies will join me so we can keep each other motivated.

@danni0509 the 20:6 seems to work for you then? I have done the 5:2 with some success before, I found it quite full on though, I had to Google the 16:8 and similar. I might try a combination of 5:2 and 16:8

Bobbiepin · 02/01/2021 17:01

What's 20:6?

WednesdayAllTheWay · 02/01/2021 17:04

I've never had to think about losing weight before... But it's creeping up and it's alarming. How do you lose weight especially when you can't be bothered to do anything / there isn't anything to do except eatConfused

Exercise instead of boredom eating. There's always something you can do instead of eating.

@Bobbiepin

What's 20:6?
Bobbie pin. Sorry I meant 18:6 got carried away typing.

I don’t eat for 18 hours a day then eat for 6 hours, my eating window is 12noon-6pm so I have lunch about 12 on the dot as I’m starving my arse off then mid afternoon a banana or similar then my tea about 5pm.

Nothing off limits, I had kfc for dinner yesterday for example.

After my tea I have a little chocolate bar too.

Drinks I have tea no sugar, water or juice.

Doesn’t feel like a diet really! I did it September for 14 days and lost 10lb x

fastwigglylines · 02/01/2021 17:58

Can I join? I'm also the fattest I've ever been, nearly 19 stone Shock

Winecheesesleep · 02/01/2021 18:03

I'll join! I lost a bit of weight last summer but piled it back on and more during lockdown 2 and Christmas, so now heaviest I've been apart from pregnancy/just after.

So yesterday I started dry January and Joe Wicks's 30 day plan of healthy eating and exercise. So far so good but I've realised just how unfit I am struggling with his 'absolute beginners' workout!

Bobbiepin · 02/01/2021 18:04

That makes a lot more sense! 10lbs in two weeks is amazing, are you able to maintain after? I like the idea of nothing being off limits. I do find that when I restrict certain foods it's all I want. Not having chocolate bars in the house definitely helps but couldn't resist the chocolate tubs in the office before Xmas!

Incrediblehulky · 02/01/2021 18:22

Hi everyone, can I join? I'm also the fattest I've ever been and feel horrible. When I see myself in a photograph I can't believe it's me...I think the weight has piled on so gradually that my self image and self perception of myself is still that I'm not that big...so I'm shocked when I do see myself looking so fat. I don't even see myself as that fat when I look in the mirror, how weird! When I am very clearly very fat now. It's very unhealthy and none of my clothes fit me. I've not bought any new clothes for ages because I keep planning on loosing weight so think I don't want to waste money on new clothes that then won't fit me if I lose the weight, but then I don't seem to manage it! I'm only short and must weigh about 14 stone 😥
So I'm in and hello 😊

Ginflinger · 02/01/2021 18:31

Also weigh more than when I had DD!! Can I join you all?

JasperHale · 02/01/2021 19:18

I will join too...
I will be eating healthier, no snacking at night, but mostly giving up wine. Drank almost every single night since lockdown 1. I am fat and tired, and frankly had enough of being tired and fat. I'm 100kg 😱

sobsanta · 02/01/2021 20:02

Weighed myself stupidly and have 'lost' 7lb from 22st 1 to 21st 7. I know it won't stay off and it's water weight but I don't care. It's given me motivation. I haven't done any exercise today as I had a bad migraine last night but my 5lb weights are coming tomorrow from Amazon so even if I'm not up for running I'll make sure to do some strength training in my arms and upper back while sat on the sofa.

I've eaten well today and I've been mindful to drink lots of water for this headache. I plan on zapping a sleeping pill around 11 so I can wake up fresh tomorrow.

IHateCoronavirus · 02/01/2021 20:08

sobsanta even if it is water weight it is 7lb of water you no longer need to carry around. Sounds good to me.

ConorMasonsWife · 02/01/2021 20:14

I haven't had the bet day because I had some black and pepper chocolate and then a packet of Parma violets but my meals were good. Only a bit of walking and didn't o any jogging today though. But tomorrow is a new day. I get what the PP means about photos of yourself. If someone takes a photo of me I don't feel like it's me. I used to be really skinny. But I weighed this morning at 13stone 4, which is 1lb lighter than yesterday, it's 4lbs lighter than a week ago. Tomorrow is quorn shepherds pie and veggies for dinner which is always filling and I'll do a jog too hopefully!

Dottydoodoo · 02/01/2021 21:17

I got my DS out for a walk in the end but it took some bribery! I have finished today on 1573 calories - when I have done this before I have eaten my exercise calories so I’m going to try really hard not to this time so that I have a chance of losing a bit more a bit quicker. I wanted to re start the couch to 5k but now the primary schools are closed where we are I’m not sure how doable it’s going to be. I need to find some motivation to get up very early and do it while everyone else is still asleep in bed!

tea69 · 02/01/2021 22:23

Food is still not 100% great over here but am managing to do close to 10k steps a day - I am forcing myself out of the door even though it's cold!

Think I will start low carb bootcamp from Monday!

tea69 · 02/01/2021 22:24

I've also cleared away all the Xmas chocs from the front room and hid them in a kitchen cupboard so they aren't as easily accessible!

NoJetter · 02/01/2021 22:25

Another one here who weighs more than after their children were born...

I’m 13st 8 now Sad I look and feel horrible.

I’ve had chronic back problems since I was pregnant with my youngest and it got a lot worse in June this year leaving me housebound unable to walk at all and piled on even more weight. I’ve just had surgery and can walk a bit now so I’m hoping to build my strength up walking and eat healthily so I can lose 3 stone 8 and get back to what I was before I got pregnant with my eldest.

fastwigglylines · 02/01/2021 22:26

I've never dieted before and I hardly exercise these days - where do I start?!

Sonnet18 · 03/01/2021 07:53

This is day 7 for me so weighed myself- 2lb down. Happy with that as I’ve been having a wee treat each day after dinner but eaten very skinny during the day. I’ve done a short 3k walk and a 30 min workout every day. I could’ve lost more if I cut the treat out but don’t fancy being totally miserable!
Hope everyone else is staying motivated!

Bobbiepin · 03/01/2021 08:43

Had a really bad night sleep, been up since 3am, I think I maybe got 2 hours. I've had two bowls of sugary cereal and some chocolate. I'm on the bike trying to balance it out but with no sleep I'm not sure how I'll manage without some sugar. I've set myself up for a massive sugar crash later too.

IHateCoronavirus · 03/01/2021 09:32

Well done Sonnet18 I also had a loss 1.9kg which I am beyond delighted with. Let’s hope our losses give us a big boost to keep on going.
Bobbiepin lack of sleep is so tough at combatting the cravings. Good luck for the rest of the day.

Sonnet18 · 03/01/2021 09:52

Oh, that’s a fantastic loss, ihatecoronavirus it’s so good to see the scales moving in the right direction.

IHateCoronavirus · 03/01/2021 09:59

Thanks Sonnet18 I’ve still got a long way to go (22kg) at least to reach top end of goal but it feels like it is more doable now.

HenslowesDiary · 03/01/2021 10:09

Well done to all those who are starting to see a loss.

Big hugs to those who are feeling a bit despondant at seeing the number on the scales. Remember this number is just your weight, it's not your worth.

Enjoyed a run today (C25k W1R3), am going to do some yoga and then cook a roast. We are still eating too late in the evening so will be glad to get into a better routine next week. I am back at work, and do 2 days in the office which is always a danger point as they are long days and I find myself buying food or snacks on the way home.
