I'm the fattest I have ever been and need to take drastic action for the sake of my health and sanity. I am 15st8 🤦‍♀️ was a stone lighter at nine months pregnant!!

Going to weigh in every Monday and hoping some of you lovely ladies will join me so we can keep each other motivated.

Unfortunately @Staringatthetiles, it's very easy as we've all discovered!

sobsanta · 01/01/2021 18:55

After a few drinks last night, I pulled myself up by the bootstraps and went for a run. Being hungover and dehydrated wasn't the best move - I could only complete half of today's couch to 5k and had to power walk the rest - but I did it and went outside.

Planning on doing some body weight exercises tomorrow in front of YouTube. I've eaten reasonably well today too and I've logged my snacks (a Muller light and a satsuma) for later when I'm hungry.

chocolatepowder · 01/01/2021 19:48

Me please. I've got a 6 month old and currently weigh more than I did full term. How is that even possible.

ConorMasonsWife · 01/01/2021 20:07

I'll join if it's not too late! I'm currently 13stone 5, 5ft8 and I don't feel like myself. I lost 6 stone 4 years ago and it's been creeping back on and now I'm only 1 and a half stone from where I started. I've been eating mildly better the last few days, we overbought Christmas food and so much was still in packaging untouched so I took those bits to the food bank rather than chuck it. I've been doing gentle jogging/fast walking for the last 4 days and that's okay but I'm still struggling to get my steps in because it's so cold and because my children moan about walking a lot after a couple of miles. But for now it'll do I have covid about 7 weeks ago and it still hurts to do too much anyway.

Backtobackagain · 01/01/2021 20:17

Can I join? This year has to be the one for me. I had really started trying 3 weeks before the first lockdown but I went straight off the rails into comfort food and now have an extra 1.5 stones to lose. I know it’s going to take some time but I’ve got to get those scales going consistently in the right direction. I am heavier than I was at the end of my pregnancies, I feel horrible in all my clothes and I know I’m modelling dreadful habits for my children. I just need to keep in mind that the feeling of losing will be a greater high than the immediate reward of some chocolate. I’m a dreadful nighttime snacker and very “all or nothing” in mentality, which has to change. Good luck everyone!

HenslowesDiary · 01/01/2021 21:18

Today

Good:
Went for a walk across the fields this morning and hit 10k steps
Managed 16:8
Did 15 min yoga session

Not as Good:
Have got a niggly ache in my groin - hoping it doesn't stop me doing a run tomorrow
Didn't eat dinner until 8pm so now feel horribly bloated.

Staringatthetiles · 01/01/2021 22:00

Sounds like a great start @HenslowesDiary

Today for me

Good

Haven’t eaten after 6pm
Completed day one of 30 days with Adriene
Have drank more water than I usually would

Not Good
I’m still upset by how much i weigh and keep dwelling on it
I am now feeling hungry so have brought myself to bed so I don’t raid the fridge

tea69 · 02/01/2021 00:31

I started couch to 5k today. Food wise I could've been better. Think I need to go back to low carb bootcamp as it really works for me.

Brunt0n · 02/01/2021 09:13

I’ve had a disordered relationship with food in the past so I am going to try out intermittent fasting, rather than calorie / point counting, at least for a month or so and see how I get on. I think I need to find something that works for me but doesn’t involve becoming obsessed with the numbers.

PaddingtonB · 02/01/2021 09:17

A day behind you @tea69 but I started couch to 5k today. I’m hoping it’ll give me extra motivation along the way.

politics31 · 02/01/2021 09:17

I weighed a day early as tomorrow is my birthday, 4lb off!

Now I need to make sure I don't sabotage it tomorrow (although we aren't having a takeaway and probably won't have a cake. Seems no point of its just the 4 of us!)

HereIgoagainagain · 02/01/2021 09:24

Morning

I have de christmased the house so now the hard work starts !
I also have an essay to do for Tuesday so that has to be a focus today. My dh thinks the cat is bored so we are going toy shopping for it later as well Hmm The cat seems perfectly happy to me but I will enjoy the distraction.

Meal planning today as well , going to look at having more veggie meals .

Good luck all.

Fingerbobs · 02/01/2021 09:47

Can I join too please? I am 68.7kg this morning. I have no idea what that really means but it is 4kg more than the last time I thought I must get a grip Blush) I am trying a fasting app as I know I can do IF and the delay-not-deny works better for me, although I do need to step away from the sugar and stop baking every day quite so much.
In terms of moving more I have a dodgy knee and bloody hate ‘going for a walk’ but am contemplating signing up for one of those ‘walk the length of the Amazon river’ type things to see if it becomes any less dull that way.
I am aiming for 0.5 - 1kg per week so that by Easter I will be able to wear my pre-COVID clothes

tea69 · 02/01/2021 10:08

@PaddingtonB

A day behind you *@tea69* but I started couch to 5k today. I’m hoping it’ll give me extra motivation along the way.
That's really good. Rest day for me today! 😆
headlock · 02/01/2021 10:23

Me too! I have a stone to lose to be a good weight for my build. Want to fit back into my clothes!

stovetopespresso · 02/01/2021 10:28

can I join too? having january motivation problems as wfh means I don't get to see my uber healthy motivated colleagues. no holidays planned so no bikini to aim to get in to. just weighed myself and I'm 12 stone 6, could do with losing at least a stone, I m 5ft 9. can't run any more, diagnosed arthritic in march, will try home workouts, walking and biking (pools closed), will try 16:8 and see how i go, will change to 5:2 if results are slower.

ivyjoy · 02/01/2021 12:18

Restarted my exercise today Smileexercise bike and weights. Hopefully it will help kick start things.

Dottydoodoo · 02/01/2021 13:22

So today is day 1 here for me. It’s going well so far, my Fitbit is charged and on and I’ve had a healthy breakfast and lunch and have resisted the urge to binge on everything in the cupboard so far! It’s a harder task trying to convince my 4 year old DS to get out for a walk, tier 4 is beginning to turn him into a hermit 🤦‍♀️

OfTheNight · 02/01/2021 15:58

Can I join in please? I’m absolutely disgusted in the way I’ve piled weight on in 2020. Nothing fits. I weigh 14st 10 and I’m only 5ft5. I’m waddling not walking and so unfit. I do find it hard in between work, which makes me miserable, ds (who never sleeps) and DP, who does all the cooking and is very much of the James - is two full pats of butter and a litre of cream enough?- Martin school. DP’s food is utterly delicious and I happily over indulge. I’m lazy and greedy and now I’m a big fat pig and I don’t know how to undo it.

IHateCoronavirus · 02/01/2021 15:59

politics31 4lb is brilliant. Have a lovely birthday tomorrow.

Dottydoodoo you have my sympathies. We are back from a lovely walk which was considerably slower than it could have been thanks to my own 4year old DC!

IHateCoronavirus · 02/01/2021 16:01

Welcome OfTheNight if you could leave DHs lovely cooking at the door we would be much obliged Wink

clto2021 · 02/01/2021 16:05

Can I join too please? I Weighed in at 14 stone 10 this morning! Nearly 5 stone overweight and as heavy as I was after just giving birth! So annoyed with myself because I originally managed to lose most of my baby weight (son is now 4 years old!) but over the years have gradually crept back up. 2020 was ridiculous for weight gain. I used it as an excuse to eat crap and do no exercise! Hoping 2021 will be the year I get myself back on track!

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo · 02/01/2021 16:19

Went for a walk today, only about 8000 steps but thats probably 7.5k more than usual. My hips are in agony now!

danni0509 · 02/01/2021 16:25

I’ll join you!

Was 11 stone in April now 14 st 8.5 was 14st 13.5 on Wednesday but I’m doing intermittent fasting and lost 5lb so far.

Cannot fathom how I put on almost 4 stone in 8 months apart from being a greedy bitch totally annoyed with myself.

I’m doing 20:6 my eating window is 12noon-6pm

danni0509 · 02/01/2021 16:28

Oh and I’m only just over 5ft so my bmi is shocking. Ankles / back always killing, varicose veins coming back through - I had these sorted years ago.

I’ve got no energy can’t even be arsed to get off the sofa half the time and have a disabled child who is really full on so need to sort myself ASAP x
