Started the day with an hour on the treadmill and a lower body workout. I probably won't be able to walk tomorrow, or I'll be able to walk but not get up from sitting! On just over 10,000
Down another smidge...cautiously optimistic

mrsmadevans that's shocking your poor cousin and her family

Happierwithouthim · 13/01/2021 11:49

I had success with the original WW points also, initially followed my mothers books and did it myself circa 2002/2003. Went to classes then in 2008/2009 and got to 10st 7 before falling pregnant with dd, this was intentional as I didn't want to have to loose baby weight plus excess weight. Got to goal in 2010 then again with them, tried the propoints but figured the older ones suited me better.

I became a Unislim leader after that and maintained until gaining a little bit back up to 10st 7 before falling pregnant with ds.

Since then I've had limited success with various plans/calorie counting. I had a PPH after ds, and a D&C and my menstrual cycle never returned. In 2018 they discovered that I'm very low in two types of oestrogen and I was put on Microlite to regulate this, this helped somewhat with ability to lose something and in 2019 I managed to get to 11st ish for dd's communion and felt like I was going to make it, I also quit alcohol for 9/10 months and this helped too.

I'd a little bit of a social half in latter end of 2019 with bf and in 2020 well ye know what happened there the Corona Stone!

This week I'm up 1lb from last week, it's my week off pill so I'm not surprised with that.

Not2bObvious · 13/01/2021 13:14

Seems like the older plan worked well for most. Of course that being said, back then there was loads of low lying fruit, you know changing milk from full to low fat, stopping the full sugar mixers in the drinks, generally becoming more conscious. Now we're dieting gurus and there's feck all easy wins!
Typical, went to my office and ahem, lots of ballast was evacuated. Feel like I could have been a pound lighter! I find Wednesdays sketchy, the novelty of being good for 2 days usually catches up and I'm tired & hungry from early morning run/shopping/busy work so I can tend to go plot a bit. Not today!!!! I'm going to stick to my planned food, no messing.

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 13/01/2021 13:37

Today is my tired day of week off pill so I'm indulging in a can of monster sugar free.

Today:
2 linda mccartney sausages in chia brennans bread sandwich with ketchup and spread
onken fat free yogurt with 10 grapes and some lizi's granola
chicken salad sandwich for lunch with a small pear and pink lady apple
Dinner will be king prawns probably in some kind of philadelphia light sauce with pasta.

Tracking manually in daly dish diary planner at the moment. MFP is just hard work when you've no internet!

Not2bObvious · 13/01/2021 15:55

I'm loving the Linda veggie sausages, couldn't get the red onion ones a few weeks ago so had to go for them, much nicer. I had them for breakfast with a crumpet 😋
Cold and tired now, finished work & having a rest, dozing while listening to podcast. This could be danger time, feeling pretty hungry

Mrsmadevans · 13/01/2021 16:50

Thank you Happier that is so kind of you Smile
Linda mccartney sausages are a big fave here everyone likes them even my meat loving Dh Smile you have done so well to maintain your weight so well, l always find l can lose weight but keeping it off is such a battle Hmm
Not lots of ppl still swear by the red and green days on SW .
Life Greggs Bacon roll OMG delicious! Smile

Gensola · 13/01/2021 19:46

happier sounds like you know what you’re doing Smile I am trying the same thing with losing before hopefully getting pregnant as I figure it means I won’t then have to lose even more weight later.

Today I’ve had a mushroom and egg frittata slice for breakfast, 76g of pannetone, lunch was random leftovers (lentil dal, lentil and roast veg salad and a scoop of mash). Dinner is a veggie steak with roasted veg and crushed potatoes and red cabbage.

I need to cut out sugar - no more sugary drinks to make up for lack of wine. I’ve been having the non alcoholic G&Ts and they’re better than coke or whatever but stil have 60 cals for a small tin. Pointless.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/01/2021 19:49

Today has been a beige day. Tomorrow will be better

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/01/2021 20:10

noom = nowt flash. Cancelled before the trial ended.

Gensola · 13/01/2021 20:12

life I thought it was very patronising

Not2bObvious · 13/01/2021 20:15

No to Noom!
I've been doing my double tracking, looks like with treats, not using all points I'm having 1400-1450'ish. Bit hungry but that's nothing new. Eating better, also more fruit & veg so that's got to be positive

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 14/01/2021 06:13

I didn't mind the conversation style as it's clearly aimed at beginners but yea was a bit patronising to seasoned dieters.

Up today as yesterday was off plan. Going to aim for today to be on plan though snow day.
It's been one of those weeks

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/01/2021 06:14

I might do a free trial of ww now. Million recipes but no inspiration

Not2bObvious · 14/01/2021 07:01

Down a smidge. Bit sore in the legs and butt, possibly be worse tomorrow.
No idea what new WW is like, if it's free you could give it a shot for fun - jeez how we get our kicks! Me doing a 10 year old plan, it's like I'm having a reverse diet education. It's certainly helping me cut down on snacks, just because I have spare cals doesn't mean I need to spend them all on chocolate & crisps. The test will be wine time, can I allocate an amount of points and keep to it. That's tomorrow's challenge. Nice food planned today, and a rake of steps to be got

life it was the “is this really the reason you want to lose weight? Are you sure? really?” That pissed me off! Yes it is the reason, I just don’t want to be medically effin overweight and not able to fit into all my clothes is that okay NOOM?! Grin there isn’t some massive secret reason like I want to be the world’s oldest and shortest supermodel!

Haven’t weighed today yet. Need to go on bike - I was supposed to get up early and go on it but DH was awake half the night with anxiety and kept waking me up (accidentally) and I slept though my alarm. This is such a hard time for everyone, trying to roll with it.

Food today: breakfast (will have around 1030) Greek yoghurt and roasted pears, sprinkle of nuts. Lunch - speedy tomato soup from the fast800 recipe book. Dinner - venison burger, homemade slaw, salad and wedges. May omit the bun, will see how snacking has been.

devildeepbluesea · 14/01/2021 08:33

gen I did Noon ages ago and I also found it really patronising.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/01/2021 09:42

Yes gen, that bit pissed me off

ememem84 · 14/01/2021 10:56

food over the lsat couple of days has been ok. ish. but i'm working from home alone (as dh has gone into the office) so am partial to the odd snack....

yesterday started well enough with toast and an apple. then lunch was a veggie/vegan salad box dh has made for me. then dinner was a jacket potato with veggie chilie. yum. then there was a quarter of a bar of dairy milk and some pringles. and some sweeties.

today i've had a bagel and apple. and now a small screen malt loaf (lunchbox size). two teas and a coffee.

i did pilates online yesterday - this is my usual group but as were not allowed to meet in person it was living room pilates. which was nice actually although i hurt a bit now.

im going out at lunchtime. need to drop christmas present to a friend and also pop to iceland to get some frozen berries. and maybe some diet cokes and/or sparkling water as am desperate for a fizzy drink (and its not gin time yet..)

1550 steps so far. i tried being on a call and walking about but then realised i had notes to take....so not feasible for me whilst walking around.

Not2bObvious · 14/01/2021 16:16

Reasons why I want to lose weight....hmm...I'd need the I'm vain and I'd like to look good reason! I'd take look good in clothes, I'd need some surgery for naked. I suppose I'd like the health side too but yup I'm that basic - want to look good in my jeans. Especially now I've slipped into the late (sob) 40's.
Doing ok today, whether my food choices have helped the hunger or I'm getting better at being hungry, dunno.
Dinner is a Thai stirfry which I love, then off to do a grocery drop for family. On 13,500'ish so should get the remaining 1,500 through pottering. One leg is stiffer and sorer from my weights workout, odd that.

OP posts:
ememem84 · 14/01/2021 18:19

My reason:

I want to fit in My clothes and shrink my tummy. Or as ds calls it - my “tubtub”. Thanks kid.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/01/2021 20:13

Vanity here. Minimum middle age spread. I like the slim little bit toned shape. It's just a bugger to maintain and I like sugar too much

Mrsmadevans · 14/01/2021 20:31

Evening everyone l haven't been too bad today but that is because l have been super busy! That is my secret weapon l remember now! Grin
I want to lose weight so my back is less painful and l can go walking again , my mobility is better thankfully so l am going to try my best . l love walking in the countryside it's so good for me mentally Smile

ememem84 · 14/01/2021 20:33

That’s it.

Sugary snacks and crispies are my nemesis. And gin.

Not2bObvious · 14/01/2021 20:59

That sounds like a really good reason to keep at the weight loss mrs, eyes on the prize - that's a great prize!
Back from my errand and inhaled my treats, only on 1270 - not sure if I'll have something else, maybe some fruit 🤔
