not that had the opposite effect for me!! Good on you.

Last night, almost a complete share pack of boost bites, plus I had a skinny whip, plus a multipack bag of hunky dorys as well as a full pack(serves 2) of filled pasta with bacon bits and a carbonara sauce made out of spinach, onion, egg yolk, lowfat creme fraiche and parmesan heat was too hot so it scrambled.

It's mid week of week off pill, I knew it would happen at some stage and conked on couch at 8.55pm!!

life not buying what you like works most of the time, then like a few weeks ago I ate 3 skinny whips in the want of a proper chocolate bar. I want the taste of chocolate but then when I buy it I find it tasteless and it doesn't satisfy me.

Happierwithouthim · 19/11/2020 08:34

Scales back up a lb this morning, salt and gluttony.

Must put it into happy scale now.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/11/2020 10:06

Pft means I'm so far out of the zone it's not worth a comment

Not2bObvious · 19/11/2020 10:26

Ahh ok, thought it was an abbreviation of something.
Sounds like a hormonal hunger hunt happier (now there's alliteration!) It's necessary sometimes for sure. I have to say I found it ironic last night that I don't want my girls to eat too much crap food yet I shovel it in my gob without a thought for impact. I like those skinny bars, wish the fibre had an impact on me. Like tougher milky ways I find - and about as much use! My innards are gone to glue. TMI

I tried chopping one up like the boost bites so I wouldn't eat as many of the boost bites, waste of time you cannot physically chop them up!!

That's brilliant, I'm going to call it HHH day next month and see who remembers it!

Had a pleasant protein shake this morning from The most convenient whey company. It was cookies and cream flavour Hmm

Filled a gap with 100ml milk and 100ml water, was 141 cals.

CamdenLurker · 19/11/2020 11:55

Hi guys!

How's everyone doing?

Busy day at work yesterday Shock I take lunch in all counted and worked out then by the time I'm ready to leave/on my way home I'm starving hungry, yesterday I ate three shortbread biscuits and three quality street as soon as I got in, Then had chilli with potato wedges and sour cream for dinner.

But I'm kind of thinking that I'm still trying, before I would have had all sorts and eaten a much more calorific lunch.

Not looking forward to my lunch, I've got soup, so might not even eat it I dunno.

Happier and life - I'm with you on binge days, I just want to eat everything then feel terrible afterwards, I hope you are ok and can just write it off.

Mrs - busy as always, I wish I had your stamina, I reckon most days you don't even get to sit down.

Not - I also have two girls and don't want them to grow up with the same issues around food as I have.

Not2bObvious · 19/11/2020 12:16

That kind of grab it hunger is fierce camden - I used to get that when I worked mornings in my office & hadn't brought enough to keep me going. I'd get home and nearly burst a hole in the fridge!
Back from the supermarket, glad that's done. Going to make a chicken/peppers/mozzarella bake thing for dinner. Should be decent enough

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 19/11/2020 12:19

camden would eating more for your lunch have helped?

not sounds nice, anything with chicken and cheese is good in my books!

Happierwithouthim · 19/11/2020 12:20

I got the aldi cheese this week too, it's pretty much on a par with the dunnes one I think, maybe like 80%

Not2bObvious · 19/11/2020 13:18

Definitely agree on looking at what's for lunch if you find yourself being ravenous by the time you get home. A bit of hunger is healthy of course, it's the ravenous out of control that needs checking.
Lentil soup for lunch, might be a windy afternoon round mine😂

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 19/11/2020 13:40

I'm going to make soup today, it has been on my to do list all week!

CamdenLurker · 19/11/2020 13:57

I think I need to be more specific with my lunch calories, if that makes sense, on Tuesday I ate one of these nature valley nut butter biscuit things and it was 200 cals ShockShockShock but I was so hungry and there was nothing else here to eat (biscuit thing was a work perk freebie and not something I would ever choose)

We can't leave food here because of 🐁 my journey home is 25 miles but takes anywhere from 90 minutes on a good day depending on the London Underground.

Also I'm very greedy.Confused

Recently I've really been wanting to give up work, partly because it's such a long day - 12 hours from leaving the house to getting home, but also because the house is always a mess and I'm the only one that can see it, plus i just really want to be at home more, my girls are teens but I feel like I'm not around enough for them, even though they spend most of their time in their bedrooms. I don't know sometimes it easy to blame work for all my problems!

Anyway we can't afford for me to quit my job, I'm lucky to still have one at this point in time, sorry to derail the thread, just in a funny mood today it seems. X

Happierwithouthim · 19/11/2020 14:34

Camden
Could you weigh up what it costs you to get to work etc against a lesser paid job closer to you?

A woman on another thread I'm on did this a few years ago & is very happy she did
Obviously jobs market was different then

Not2bObvious · 19/11/2020 15:23

Gosh that's a long day camden, no wonder you get hungry and if you can't store food it hardly makes it easy. I went part time about 3 years ago, 30 hours a week and tbh my housekeeping standards have probably dropped especially now I'm home 95% of the time with this CV situation. I see the housework, I just don't want to do it. If I could get a decent cleaner I think I would - would that be an option to take some stress off? Any time I try get the kids to do anything, the bigger one goes feral as she always feels the smaller one doesn't get as much to do or she'll come across something small has done and all hell ensures. I'm quietly giving up at this point.
And no one sees it here either, feel like a spend my life dragging a cloth over surfaces and redistributing crumbs.

Evening everyone Smile
Camden l can do that at the drop of a hat but i wonder if you need more fibre to fill your tum up more. Just A THOUGHT. I have been mega busy today, looking for a pr of grey trousers size 27 inside leg 38 waist hmm for Bobbo . I went everywhere , MATALAN, MARKS, Tesco , Asda, PEACOCKS IN THE END l ordered them from Amazon Hmm
Food intake has been good not tried to scoff for a while now which is amazing Grin
Not l don't worry over the house anymore. l figure clean clothes , clean bodies, clean toilets , bathroom and kitchen and we are good to go Hmm standards have really slipped in my house since l started looking after my Parents and now Bobbo & Mum Hmm
Happier it's a right pita hormonal cravings urggghhhh Flowers

Not2bObvious · 19/11/2020 21:40

Another decent day, left 165 behind so I have 650 in the calorie bank from the last 4 days. Actually felt funny not to be hungry for more junk tonight. I wish I could bottle the zone feeling, I could really do with it over the weekend.

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 19/11/2020 21:42

Life it really sucks doesnt it l had it like this 2 weeks ago , taken me ages to get back to it and omg the cravings when you stop scoffing they last for days on end! Flowers

Not2bObvious · 19/11/2020 21:46

Omg mrs, I've had that trouser hunt too! Bloody 27" length, impossible to find - wonder-weave has been the solution when I could only get the 29". We can't buy clothes in shops here at the moment so online is the only option. I agree with your housekeeping ethos, it's about all I can do to keep those areas clean (enough) and yep, clean bodies/clothes we're ok on. Maybe it isn't as dire as I think!

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 19/11/2020 22:09

Not it's awfully hard to find 27 inch , Bobbo's inside leg is tiny!
It definitey isn't dire you are doing great just take it all in your stride. If l was to work in this house like l should Hmm then l wouldn't be able to read or cook or watch anything or come on here and l wouldn't have any life so l think to hell with that somethings have to give Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/11/2020 06:43

That's exactly the reason I have a cleaner not. I do the weight of the house work.

That is a long day Camden. Can you have dinner or something late afternoon just before the commute home?

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/11/2020 06:45

I'm in a routine of looking for food at work. I think I'm also a bit bored and stressed. Finally the weekend is better but it's flipped and the weekdays are shit

Not2bObvious · 20/11/2020 08:21

Got up at 5.45, got weighed and went on the treadmill for an hour, just over 8,000 steps so that's a good chunk done.
Down .8 this morning so that's 1lb down on last Friday. Happy scales reckons I've lost .4 of a pound in the last 5 days, basically back to losing a bit so I'm very happy with that. It's been a few weeks of no progress despite thinking I'd been putting the effort in. Just enough effort not to gain a lot it appears!
I think the current world we live in gravitates between stressful and boring, both prefect storms for us who soothe with food.

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 20/11/2020 10:12

My scales was down a lb again this morning, it's a total yo yo these days.

Must have been your mention of cereal bars camden but when I was at the checkout yesterday I saw nature valley protein bars €1.48 each or 2 for 98c, so I bought them, offer never applied, 198cals ate one going to town, and the other on the way home. Stupid stupid stupid!!! I wasn't even hungry for them, and ate two clementines before eating them just to stop myself Grin lesson learned, they'll stay on the shelf next time.

Having a cleaner is brilliant, you come back and it's bliss to be in your own home after they've been especially on a friday after a long week and the house is clean! I do my own cleaning since separation because I have child free time to do it in. Sometimes I blitz it and other times I do the heavy work of mopping, laundry out, hoovering etc and go away for a walk/grocery shopping etc and then come back and do the lighter stuff of folding laundry or putting delph away.

I've promised myself though if it gets too much I will get a cleaner again, my ex au pair operates as a cleaner now. I will hire her for the deep clean of the house I'm purchasing if it hasn't been done by the vendors.

Got out for a walk with dc last night it was mild and pleasant weather I could've walked for miles, we didn't though, only 2, they had to finish their homework!

Happierwithouthim · 20/11/2020 10:17

Made porridge this morning and used one sachet of the smoothie berries, it was really nice and great to free up some more space in the freezer. I thought I wouldn't like them because they contained banana but turns out there were only 2 slices in the portion.

The other type are tropical so I figure I'll defrost them and have with yogurt and granola at work next week and that'll be them finished.

Now that my freezer is tidied I can make more use of what's in there.

There's a seafood mix too, thinking seafood pasta as I've got low fat creme fraiche, any suggestions?

Not2bObvious · 20/11/2020 13:46

Had a takeaway lunch, was a mix up with my order and instead of small double burger (350), I ended up with a bacon double quarter pounder(950!) I gave the dh the second burger out of it, to try bring down the damage. It was lush, that should make you feel better about the nature valley bars happier😂
It's a good thing I have those banked cals to help me out. I could have eaten the whole burger if I'm honestBlush
