2lb down this morning so I'll take that as my starting weight and will actually log it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/09/2020 06:50

DOMS

Not2bObvious · 09/09/2020 07:32

My scales is either trying to get me to break them or they are trying to break me. Sts, could be worse I suppose. I keep thinking maybe I'm eating something I thing is low cal but mislabelled, like Regina George being given the weight gain bars she thought were weight loss bars.
Great job on the 2lb wreck, only 9 to go.
Excellent stepping em, I got roughly the same yesterday.
Boo to the dons life, although excellent indicator of proper hard graft.
Doing the school run soon with teenagers, then I think I'll go for a decent walk before quick shop & back home for work. No hard start time so may as well take advantage of it

@lifelongfrugaleer

DOMS
Well done on the hard work! I ran 5k on sat, haven't run in months delighted with myself & that new runners are good too Nike Pegasus kids go up to eur40 so got them for €52.49 with 25% off & free del Grin they were my last chance before investing in brooks
Not2bObvious · 09/09/2020 09:32

DOMs, delayed onset muscle soreness. Basically that god awful pain you get after doing weights for the first time in a while or you really push yourself. They're a killer.
Please come back and stay happier, you started this in the first place!!! We wouldn't be here together if you hadn't done that.
Great deal on the runners, best of luck with the running.

Glad you're over the struggle mrs, the key is to just keep going, consistency over perfection.
I haven't managed a walk yet, thought I'd be a diligent worker bee and come straight home after school run. Foolish woman, straight into a 45 minute traffic jam. Should have done the walk

Doh l should have realised that Not2b thank you for explaining 😁

Mrsmadevans · 09/09/2020 09:39

Thank you also for the encouragement it helps no end 👏🤗😄💐

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/09/2020 10:10

Get your ass back here happier. Grin

Dom's - delay on set muscle soreness. Ie weight training makes it hurts and interesting on stairs and going to the loo Grin

ememem84 · 09/09/2020 11:46

Eugh I hate the DOMS!!!

Am at 6120 steps already. Been for a run this morning and am IF until after my therapy session.

Coffee and green tea this morning. My body is a temple. 😇

The boss bought biscuits. They are sat by my desk. This is like a torture.

Not2bObvious · 09/09/2020 12:51

Move the biscuits, that's my best advice - not into your mouth though😂 Went out for a walk after a couple of hours work, employee of the month I ain't. Not far off my 9,000 minimum target.
Lovely day here

I’ve moved the biscuits. Apparently they’re not that nice anyway.

Sesame chickpea salad for lunch. Sigh. Could murder a McDonald’s...

Not2bObvious · 09/09/2020 15:25

Well that's good em, nowt worse than wasting calories on crap food. Well I'm sure there are worse things but when dieting, it's up there. I prefer the sound of your sesame chicken to McDonald's tbh.
After having a pretty calorific breakfast, I just had a few bread snacks & cheese for lunch. 1.5 hours to dinner, not that I'm counting.....

WreckTangled · 09/09/2020 15:50

I had homemade chicken soup for lunch and have just had a slice of cheese. Dinner is beef kebabs and I might make something with cauliflower rice to go with it for me.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/09/2020 17:28

Good call on moving the biscuit

Happierwithouthim · 09/09/2020 18:55

Thanks everyone Grin

Happierwithouthim · 09/09/2020 19:03

I feel I'm in such limbo with not having moved house yet & not having internet to use mfp etc

Am meal planning & sticking to three meals two snacks everyday so that's something I guess.

I think I've a chest infection too, dd is at nurse tomorrow for cryotherapy so going to see if I can be seen by doctor at a similar time.

Ds is not settling at morning childcare so last attempt at solving this is him using YouTube there if that fails tomorrow I'm going to approach his older sister re taking them in the mornings for 45 mins & if that fails I might have to tell work I can't start until 9am until he settles.

Thanks for warm welcome back xx

Sesame chickpea salad sounds delicious and much nicer than anything McDonald's sells!

One good thing about work now we have a one way system is I am walking a long way every day just around the school. 3 and a half miles yesterday! Finding it easy to get my steps in at the moment.

Mrsmadevans · 09/09/2020 19:49

I had grilled bacon , 6 crispbreads , tomatoes and mushrooms after an apple and a pear. Am really full now Grin
Found it difficult the last couple of days but think it's to do with stress .

Vegetable lasagne for dinner with avocado salad. Yum.

I had a peanut butter chocolate brownie this afternoon. So yum.

Loads of water. Hoping this will flush out the bloated feeling. Sigh.

Dh has made me a burrito for lunch tomorrow. And I’ve made an apple cucumber salad. Yum.
