Mrsmadevans · 16/11/2020 07:59

Morning everyone 😀
Your dinner still sounded nice Not 👏
Life needs must ! Hope your head is better soon 💐
Discovered pizza gives me the munchies. Did not scoff but oh l wanted to had Clementines and pears and coffee instead .
Day off today , shopping on the cards , have a great day everyone 😀

Happierwithouthim · 16/11/2020 09:34

Maybe
I had a bottle of pinot grigio from fri night to sun night, just a glass per night, scales now up 2lbs. Think I'll give it a miss for a while now.

not I get those in aldi and cook in slow cooker and have loved them but the ones in the foil tray can be hit and miss I find.

At 3pm yesterday I'd 901 steps as I spent the morning in bed reading finished up at 14921, after a walk to the village, got soaked coming home so I went for a hot shower and left conditioner in overnight to treat my hair and was in pjs for 5pm again Grin

Happierwithouthim · 16/11/2020 09:37

Just synced fitbit 16774 steps yesterday actually.

Bringing my total to 74553 so average 10650 per day. Maybe that'll show on scales this week.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/11/2020 12:40

Great catch up there happier.
To. Pot today

Happierwithouthim · 16/11/2020 14:17

I made the cutest little banana bread cake with my lone banana.

I've got a mini loaf tin and it filled that and a tapas dish. I ate said tapas dish quantity last night before bed and it was delicious. It's going in the freezer this evening because I'll only eat the rest of it.

Not2bObvious · 16/11/2020 14:18

Up a pound on yesterday (that was after treadmill hour)
Busy today, lots of running around giving lifts, going to office, will be off in a hour doing another lift. Just over 9,000
No idea what to have for dinner, and short of protein even factoring in a shake I have planned (...and don't wantHmm) Fibre is bang on, for all the use it does me bar making a noxious atmosphere for the family. Ray of sunshine today me😂

Hey guys,

I had a terrible weekend/ Friday, but today has been better so I'm trying hard to re focus.

I had porridge with banana for breakfast 344 cals

Lunch was a quorn vegan pasty 325 cals( so basically this was DD's, she ate one on Saturday and this one was going out of date I couldn't be bothered to sort lunch so Took that into work Hmm)

Greek yogurt with granola 117 cals
Bacon fries 32 cals (ds2 brought these back from work for me)
Lemon mousse M&S count on us range 90 cals

Over all I'm going to be above my 1500 maximum today, BUT I'm still tracking so that's a good thing!

Didn't leave the house yesterday and that's never good, it just puts me in a funny mood, our town floods quite badly and it cuts us off from some footpaths and access to places. Yesterday it was flooded almost up to our garden fence as we back onto a small brook. Woke up today and it's almost completely gone Smile

I hope everyone else is having more success than me.

Happierwithouthim · 16/11/2020 15:43

camden you've haven't let the weekend ruin your Monday, keep up the good work. Days stuck at home can go one way or the other can't they? Feeling hemmed in isn't great but not feeling obliged to go anywhere can be!

Happierwithouthim · 16/11/2020 16:04

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/11/2020 16:37

Not been a great day today as I had breakfast too early. Tomorrow will be better as DS week be back at school

Not2bObvious · 16/11/2020 16:53

Please do not let a slightly off plan weekend make you start the week feeling bad camden - It's over, focus on here and going forward. We don't burn calories kicking ourselves, we only upset ourselves and reinforce negative thoughts. None of us here would give out to you, you shouldn't do it to yourself. Be nice to youThanks
I'm having one of them days where I haven't left enough time to have my shake or eat enough to hit my remaining protein. Doesn't really matter, a light Monday isn't the worse thing that could happen!

Happierwithouthim · 16/11/2020 17:11

I've been ok today, but today is normally a day for taking the dog for a long walk and I'm just not feeling it. I will walk her and be home in time to curl up on couch with Emmerdale at 7pm with my stirfried peppered thin steaks cut in strips with peppers and onion and some chips done in actifry with spice bag seasoning,

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/11/2020 20:20

Definitely draw a line under it Camden. Tis done, don't let it ruin your progress

Mrsmadevans · 16/11/2020 20:42

Happier that recipe sounds & looks delish! Thank you for posting it Smile
Not you have been busy hence your light Monday but like you said you will be fine Smile
Camden you have done well to get back to it after the weekend it is so easy to think oh to hell with it Smile
Life it happens to us all just take it a day at a time no worries you can get back to it asap Smile
Been fine , just had a curry, small naan total cals about 1000 without my milk. Will have some clementines later with a coffee but l don't feel as if l want to scoff thankfully Smile
What does everyone think about Intermittent fasting , l know it is very strict but it really suits me and l feel much better, more energy and no bloat , enjoying my food too Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/11/2020 07:02

I think if is good if it suits you. I get too shakey if I go much past late morning.
Didn't weigh today as wouldn't be goid

Not2bObvious · 17/11/2020 08:23

Up (ffs) .4, it was .6 but I weighed again after my walk on the treadmill to see whether it made any difference. Not much but a fraction. Anyway....on I go, it'll come good eventually. Obsessed much😂
I have many thoughts about intermittent fasting having tried it for years in different guises so I admit I'm biased. The main thing I'd say at this stage of the year, although with Covid it's going to be different, it's not the most social way of dieting. I found it led to so many questions, and I'd feel very defensive about it, made me appear like a zealot. It's definitely dangerous if you've ever had any kind of disordered eating, or have any tendencies I think it could lead that way but that's only my opinion.
Really at the end of the day it's just a different way to limit your calories, if it works for you and you're happy, why not.

Used the second pic recipe for inspiration and first pic is my dinner. Steak was from Tesco & it was delicious Grin

Scales up another 1lb this morning, it's my week off pill, anything is possible.

Ooh is it wrong to want a plate of that for elevenses? Looks really nice, I love a decent dinner - I'm on the meatballs and pasta tonight

CamdenLurker · 17/11/2020 09:05

Thanks guys for the support, I really appreciate it, hopefully I can get my act together from now on.

Happier - I had something very similar for dinner last night, chilli, ginger and soy steaks from M&S sliced thinly and fried up with mushrooms, green pepper and onion, I added some soy sauce and oyster sauce then chucked in half a pouch of microwave rice. I'm having the second half for lunch today - your looks delicious, better than the recipe pic.

Mrs - I have a friend who swears by intermittent fasting and lost quite a lot weight doing it, I'm like Life though and have to eat something in the mornings, low blood sugar hits me otherwise and I feel sick and shakey.

Today's food will be

Porridge, banana, chia seeds 344 cal
Beef stir fry 300 cals
Kefir 70 cals granola 55 cal

McCain jacket spud 208 cal
Home made coleslaw 137 cals.

Yesterday was so boring at work, I received 2 emails over the entire day and one of those was an Italian translation of the other.
Boredom really doesn't help food consumption!

What's everyone's plans for Christmas with regards to calorie counting or overall eating?

Happierwithouthim · 17/11/2020 09:14

I put a dusty of cornflour on my beef and it went into actifry while the onions and peppers were in the frying pan, also microwave rice. Sliced up remainder of steak and stuck into freezer for another day, the meat was purchased a week ago on Sunday so needed to be cooked or go into freezer, I know it should be frozen straight away but I didn't have room in freezer. I've now thrown out brussels sprouts & spinach left from when au pair lived with us and unidentified frozen meals have been given to the dog, defrosted obviously. This made for a much tidier freezer.

camden yours sounds lush and only 300cals. My meat was that on it's own but it was heavy on the meat. Mine was 571 cals.

not I love meatballs too. The tesco garlic and onion pasta sauce is fab for them and only 53cent I think.

Today's lunch is tuna sweetcorn sandwich, sweetcorn is needed tmi!

Brought my labels to scan into mfp while at work for dinner this eve too.

Happierwithouthim · 17/11/2020 09:16

Nothing worse than a boring day at work camden
My colleague said yesterday there was no need for both of us to be here until 5.30, he was angling that he'd finish early. I said you're right will we do every second evening, waiting for him to approach superior about it. Before he'd have just gone home early and left me with it.

Not2bObvious · 17/11/2020 11:01

I've got the aldi onion & garlic pasta sauce, only 53 cent too - works really well as a pizza base sauce too, very flavoursome.
What I say I'll do for Christmas and what I do for Christmas are 2 very different things. Every year I swear blind I'll be "good"
Ahem...
