Just had a slice of white toast with butter, I'm soo bored, and it's my second slice albeit the first one was wholemeal.
Nothing decided on for lunch yet - I'm lacking inspiration

Happier - the steaks from M&S are 187 cals each so quite a bargain in the calorie steaks but not so much in the money steaks as the are a fiver for two.

The cheek of the fella angling to go home and leave you to do the work! Lazy git, well
Done for thinking on your feet!

Im now craving meatballs in tomato sauce not, do you make your own? Or buy them? I did slimming world for four years and used to buy the frozen ones from Iceland, they were so dry and did y even taste like a meat ball! I might pick some up in aldi this week as ds likes meatballs too.

Happierwithouthim · 17/11/2020 12:49

Camden I bought chicken meatballs in Tesco recently. They were fab.

Ds eats 12 meatballs in one sitting no side. He's 7 since last week.

I had two of the piri piri steaks so they work out at 122 each so I suppose not bad either. They were in the 3 for €10 range.

He's been doing things like that for years and gettting away with it.

Not2bObvious · 17/11/2020 12:59

Make my own, 4% mince from Aldi, few breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, onion powder, salt & pepper. Roll them small (get 30 out of 400gr mince) and bake for 15, rotate, go another 5. I usually freeze them and take a few out at a time for my dd12, she doesn't like anything spicy so she has them as an alternative. Decided we'd all have them as I've fresh pasta (lasagne sheets I'll cut) that needs using.
I'm having a down day, pain in my face

Oh the joys of having room in the freezer, this is one thing I really really miss!

Not2bObvious · 17/11/2020 14:58

I have to start using the food I have in mine, I'd say I've as little freezer space as you happier with my constant freezing and then my extra food shopping. It's a disgrace, needs cleaning out & defrosting.
Had a cheese & coleslaw sambo for lunch with 20gr tortilla chips. Very nice and lifted me a little although rubbish for cals/macros. I only ate around 1450 yesterday which is v low for me, I think that's partially why I'm hangry today?

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 17/11/2020 15:33

I've decided after dumping 4 portions of unknown meals, well giving them to dog, that if I put a portion of something into freezer I'll also put it into mfp for a day the following week so that it gets used.

I find that sometimes alright not if too low cal one day then I'm either starving or hangry next day or overeat. Consistency is best.

Happierwithouthim · 17/11/2020 15:35

Dc were into smoothies, I bought the frozen portions, they weren't interested. They'd prefer to use 10 items of fruit from the fruit bowl and then have two mouthfuls and store rest in fridge for a week until it congeals. I don't want to throw out! Maybe I'll defrost and use in porridge or something.

I've sensitive teeth and don't like milk so not really into smoothies.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/11/2020 17:25

I can do the over eating Grin it's the low calorie day I can't do

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/11/2020 17:47

Over eated today probably too maintain calories

Not2bObvious · 17/11/2020 19:31

I had dropped from 1800 to 1700 for this - not quite ready to commit to the 1600 that I tried last week. Too funny really how I'm dropping calories when I can't stick to the higher onesHmm
After visiting the elderly parent and doing a few bits, I'm just over 15,000. That's rare these days. Still have over 400 cals left, despite my calorific lunch. Hmm little snack and little treat I think!

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 18/11/2020 08:23

Maybe when you drop to the lower calories, what you'll overeat to is the higher calories you were on before? Hmm

No walk yesterday, needed a talk with bf so spent my childfree time doing that instead, we could have gone when they came home but decided we'll go for longer walk today instead.

not how did you get on with your 400cals left?
Scales dropped this morning, thanks to extra fibre Wink

Not2bObvious · 18/11/2020 12:45

Left just over 100 behind last night so I managed on 1600. Ahh sure who knows, I'm a disaster at this😂 That's the vague hope that dropping down might limit the overspend or at least give me some wriggle room. My weekend excess is pure gluttony. And my steps are down for weeks now, finding that part of things a challenge despite getting back running (in a kind of lopsided manner!)
Down 1.6 this morning, about f-ing time quite frankly. But as we know it could boomerang back by tomorrow

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 18/11/2020 14:00

I suppose either shortening weekend gluttony to one meal or one day could help if you don't want to treat them like a normal day (life is for living after all!!)

Not2bObvious · 18/11/2020 14:47

Yep, it would help for sure, I do try, I just struggle to do it. It could be worse I'm sure. It's just in the moment I want treats more than I want to lose weight.

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 18/11/2020 15:23

That's fair enough too, and in light of this pandemic, if that's what helps so be it!

Not2bObvious · 18/11/2020 15:32

Oh indeed! If there was ever an urge for comfort food, this last few months has truly been the test.

Happierwithouthim · 18/11/2020 17:02

Are you low carb as well as IF mrs

Mrsmadevans · 18/11/2020 18:16

Not really Happier l just eat what l want . I do try to eat nutritious food but don't succeed all the time 😂

Not2bObvious · 18/11/2020 20:29

I've discovered the solution to night time snacking, have a child who has decided they want to spend the evening with you. Left 140 calories in the bank, so silver lining! Savoury snacks had but no chocolate

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 18/11/2020 21:01

Yay Not Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/11/2020 07:09

Well done not.
Pft here. Ive chucked the ice lolly I don't really like. Not buying any more I like.

Not2bObvious · 19/11/2020 07:54

What's pft life? Good plan on not putting temptation in your way, willpower only goes so far. I removed all the chocs from inside fridge to outside fridge - no doubt I'll bring them back Friday though! I think I might make a snack box, and when it's gone, it's gone. I'll make it generous - but a bit under my normal gluttony. Don't have to be perfect, just a little better.
Despite my angelic behaviour last night - I've been rewarded with a flux of 1lb. But happy scales still thinks I'm losing, a third of a pound so far this week. So that's what I'll focus on.
Have to do the shopping today, no idea what to have for dinner.
