Starting again! 4 stone to lose!!! Friday weigh in

Katiemaggie · 28/08/2020 09:27

So yet again I have let my weight get out of control and am determined to lose it. In 2013 I lost over 8 stone and reached my goal weight of 10 stone. I felt happy and confident. However, 2 children and a lot of unhealthy habits have led to 4 stone of that going back on 😢 I have signed back up to myfitnesspal and am going back to the gym. Did my first tums and bums class on Wed and my muscles are still burning 😩😂. Going to do a weekly Friday weigh in to try and keep myself on track. Anyone who would like to join me to keep each other motivated is very welcome 😊

Starting weight: 14st 5lbs
Current weight: 13st 12.5lbs
Goal weight: 10st

Welcome to those who joined yesterday 😊 I'm back on it today after a rather glutinous day yesterday celebrating my FIL's birthday!!! At the gym now trying to reverse some of the damage 😂

Hey, I’d love to join please! I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been at 13st 4lb. Good grief, just typing that is overwhelming! I’d like to get to 9st 10lb. I’m so unhappy! And peri menopausal, it’s miserable!

Katiemaggie · 06/09/2020 21:28

Of course, welcome @TOFO1965 😊

Grateful to be here @Katiemaggie thank you :)

How's everyone feeling? Weight in on Friday.

I'm hoping for a decent loss, did 107,000 steps last week and burnt just under 19,000 calories in total for the week.

EviesMum13117 · 07/09/2020 13:34

Hi can I join please? Weighed myself 2 weeks ago at 14st 3lb. So fed up. I've lost 5lbs so far so will hopefully keep going.

Got a mini holiday in 6 months and then will be trying for baby number 2 so hoping to lose a good chunk of the weight by then.

I'd like to get to get to 9st but will be happy at 10st.

Aurorie11 · 07/09/2020 13:50

Welcome @EviesMum13117, 5lbs in two weeks is a great start

Fruitinator · 07/09/2020 15:37

Would you mind if I joined you all as well. I have lost 4 stone this year but have hit a wall!

I have reached a plateau where I have lost and gained the same few pounds for 4 weeks...humph! I am hoping to change things up a bit and crack it once and for all. Will be happy just to loose 1 more stone, but would like to get into health BMI range.

Weight today: 13st 7lbs
Target: 11st (just in healthy BMI target).

I calorie count and intermittent fast 16/8. Hoping posting here will keep me on track...fingers crossed.

I think my problem is slipping back into old habits- not weighting portions, not counting little snacks or the large drizzle of oil etc- it soon mounts up!

Aurorie11 · 07/09/2020 16:05

@Fruitinator wow 4 stone already lost is fantastic! It shows that you can to it and you've lost almost 2/3rds of your target loss. How did you do?

Fruitinator · 07/09/2020 16:17

@Aurorie11 Thankyou. I have calorie counted to 1200 cals per day and then aimed for 10k steps per day. I have cooked from scratch out of Pinch of Nom & Hairy Bikers Diet books. Steered clear of alcohol, bread and pasta - (basically all my favorite things.) Filled up on loads of salad and veg, (i'm not keen on fruit) and lean protein.

I'm just fed up of it now, and keep slipping- it has been such a long slog...the end is no close in sight. Need to kick myself up the arse & think positively- over half way!

Aurorie11 · 07/09/2020 16:33

@Fruitinator is buying new clothes motivating? You want to lose 35lbs, you could be well on your way by Christmas

Katiemaggie · 07/09/2020 17:04

Welcome to the new members 😊 sounds like everyone is doing really well! 4 stone is an amazing loss and a great inspiration for me as that is what I have to lose!

I’m struggling this week, I’m managing but I seem to be starving all the time, must be something to do with time of the month Hmm

Aurorie11 · 08/09/2020 09:19

@Sarahp2308 you've got this, if you have a bad day just start afresh the next. Are you still doing early morning walks?

Sarahp2308 · 08/09/2020 09:55

Thanks @Aurorie11 I haven’t been going in the morning as I’m back in the office Mon-Wed but I have been going on the evening instead, still averaging about 15k steps a day! Just finding I’m extra hungry the last few days Hmm

Fruitinator · 08/09/2020 19:27

Thank you everyone for the lovely welcome, I feel really quite motivated.

@Aurorie11 that could be my target, a snazzy size 12 outfit for Christmas. Currently a size 14/16

I'm on day 3 of arse kick and sticking to it, work is really busy so not much chance for exercise but kept away from stress snacks. Fresh day tomorrow and feeling positive, just got to keep on day at a time.

Sarahp2308 · 08/09/2020 19:30

@Fruitinator one day at a time is the best way to look at it! If i fall off the wagon one day just get back on it the next Smile

Aurorie11 · 10/09/2020 20:06

Who's weighing in tomorrow?

My starting weight on 31/8 was 13.11, and didn't weigh in last Friday. Confident of a loss, but don't know how much.

Found today particularly hard, for the last 2 weeks on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday got up and went for an hour's walk at 6am. Today was peckish all day, but kept to a small bowl of porridge with 2 tbsps of stewed plums, small sandwich (nimble bread) for lunch and oven baked fish and chips with salad. Could have easily eaten load more, done 16.5k steps

Katiemaggie · 10/09/2020 20:52

I have to admit I've gone completely off the rails this week! 😭 Can't seem to get in the mindset knowing I have my birthday weekend coming up! (ridiculous thinking I know... Should really be even stricter on myself knowing that I will probably indulge at the weekend! But what's done is done!!!) I have been keeping up the exercise and walked everyday this week. However, feel I will restarting on Monday!!!

Minnie123456 · 10/09/2020 22:51

Have went completely off the rails the last few weeks. Haven't weighed myself either but I know i've gained. I'm going to weigh myself on Sunday and restart again.

Splendidsunrise · 10/09/2020 23:16

No you won’t loose the weight.
