I agree a stone by Christmas sounds better! especially as it has taken me half way through are initial target period to actually lose anything

Good luck on the WW M.S - you sound very organised. Stirfry didnt do it for me either!

Ra Ra cheer for tangerine for the slinky slim skirt! Very good menu today btw

I suppose you could thank your hubby PWD - grudgingly. But he could have trawled the shops until he found some tut men!

spottyshoes · 22/10/2007 21:36

our not are

MarkStretch · 22/10/2007 21:36

I'm going to buy some of those options hot chocolate drinks tomorrow cos I always find they are good when I'm hungry and craving crisps or chocolate

spottyshoes · 22/10/2007 21:44

Oooh good idea - Have the belgian choc one in my cupboard!

runs to boil kettle

www.caloriecounting.co.uk/resources/food/coffee-calories.htm

argh!
never really think about coffee calories when i'm out!
at least nescafe capps are not too bad

mylittlefreya · 23/10/2007 06:45

Christmas Eve sounds easier more sensible.

Coffees out with all that frothy milk are awful. But the options hot choc is a great idea, I've had some a couple of evenings to take the cravings edge off. I also managed to just eat two squares of chocolate last night - but that's risky (for me anyway) as I can be tempted to eat the lot!!!

spottyshoes · 23/10/2007 08:02

Holy potatoes batman!!!!!!!!! You shouldnt have linked that website - I'm going to starbucks tomorrow Water with some water on the side for me then

laloupgarou · 23/10/2007 08:45

Christmas Eve is fine by me, I'm not on target for the original date so that takes the pressure off a bit, phew! Think that gives us eight weeks so if I shift on average 1lb a week I'll hopefully get there

Hope all the dcs are gettig better, we had another sleepless night here with ds2. His runny nose is back and he was coughing for a lot of the night.

susiecutiebananas · 23/10/2007 11:03

I reckoned that we have al had poorlyness in our families in the last few weeks, be it us or our Dc... seems more likely that well succeed if not too pressured as little slip ups just make you think, of sod it, not enough time, so wont bother... IYSWIM? {grin]

so is Christmas Eve really only 8 weeks away???? BLOODY HELL!!!!!

mylittlefreya · 23/10/2007 16:55

My little Freya is 1 on Christmas Eve!

Have done good today, but I'm hungry!

susiecutiebananas · 23/10/2007 17:37

really! my niece is called Freya and she is going to be 8 on christmas eve! apparently it is also St Freya's day, someone told my sister a few years ago.... now thats even more of a co-incidence! >

mylittlefreya · 23/10/2007 17:53

Really!?

She was due at the end of Jan, so ddn't exactly plan a Christmas Eve birthday!

pollywollydooooooooodle · 23/10/2007 18:47

hello all, i think i'd already adjusted to a stone by xmas in my head...i'll be klad not to lose you all after 6 weeks! [warm fuzzyiness]

mine was a damage limitation day! We went to Bewdley and dh and dd were set on fish and chips for lunch and a visit to Teddy Greys (an old fashionned sweet shop)

so
brekkie...half portion of muesli

lunch... half a tray of chips with mushy peas and a bit of fish middle from hubby

mid pm 2 oz cinder toffee (like crunchie bar nuggets...my fave as a child...smallest portion i could buy!)

eve....we'll see, not hungry (yet!)

have to say ordinary cappuccinos out look okayish but mochas out...aargh...i never knew they were so calorific

have a good evening all

spottyshoes · 23/10/2007 19:07

Ah Xmas eve baby - are you having a wee party?

I feel the same PWD - we're not just going to abandon this thread after we've lost a stone are we????? I dont know about everyone else but I could do with losing another one after that!!! I like coming on here, it's nice having a thread to 'belong' to as MN is such a big scary place . I sometimes see one of you on another thread and think yay - hiya! Sad I know. Plus who would I nork swing and buttock shake with????

Sounds like the dc's have a similar cold at the mo Lalou & Pink, Babyshoes is coughy and snuffly too. Plus he has started teething again so is a grouchy nightmare!

Hope everyone's having a good evening

spottyshoes · 23/10/2007 19:15

After reading the posts I really fancy fish & chips with vinegar and mushy peas!!!! I have been craving them on and off for about a month but keep ignoring it as much as i can. I cook a healthy version at home occassionally but only go to a proper chippy about once a year. Feel a trip coming on.....

Brekkie: Toast & marmite & tea
Lunch (out again): Bacon, Brie, Cranberry & rocket toasty with a few chips
Dinner: Plain Chicken breast, small mash, Brocolli, Carrot, Sprouts. Small Gravy

I'm trying to cut out the morning and p.m snacks when I can.

tangarine · 23/10/2007 22:43

Oooh yeah, fish and chips and mushy peas. I only ever have them when I visit my parents up north.

Your lunch sounded nice spottyshoes.

pwd - cinder toffee, how yummy!

pinkrose - hope your dd is better

markstretch - well done on the wine and water. I've stopped drinking during the week since I've been doing this and it's made a big difference

Sorry to anyone I've missed!

And yes, I'm up for keeping going till Christmas

I've had;

Breakfast special K red berries and coffee
Lunch: prawn noodle salad thing from Boots, carrots and flavoured water
Dinner: salmon, spinach and boiled potatoes again (dh didn't want his last night - he had left over curry from the weekend), low fat yoghurt and blueberries

Going to have a mint tea and go to bed now. Goodnight all!

spottyshoes · 23/10/2007 23:08

Oh yes the Northern ones taste much nicer (dont stone me southeners!) - but you really cant beat sitting on Redcar prom with a bag a chips

Very fastidious menu today tangerine. Mint tea before bed too - well done.

I'm going to have a toffee apple donut then go to bed. I thought about coming on here to get support in having something healthy but figured it wasnt worth debating it as i'm going to eat it anyway

mylittlefreya · 24/10/2007 08:25

This is the first thread I've ever felt really 'at home' on !

We're off out on a big walk today! It looks all cold and clear - perfect!

Ooh, chips... real chip shop chips
Probably a whole days calories per portion. Sigh.

Good luck for today everyone!

susiecutiebananas · 24/10/2007 08:59

I agree about feeling at home here... maybe we should al just keep going until we actually loose the stone, just in case its not christmas eve lol( judging by the food some of us had last night

I had a chinese at 22:30 when.... wait for it......

DH IS HOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEE

YIPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

he's even more handsome than EVER!!! ( please look at my pics on my profile

I really DO love him to the moon and back and back and back.....

ok, so, he's in the kitchen making his girls porridge, lets hope goldilocks doesnt come in and nick it when we are out in the woods... ok so there are no woods, and we're not going anywhere....

onwards and upwards with the diet. He wants to have a really healthy holiday at home. He even thinks he will stop smoking yipeeeeeeeee .

will check in later girls, think thin ok?

your are all great.

MrsSeanSlater · 24/10/2007 09:56

Right, I really have lost 5lb this time. Oddly enough I've been eating pretty normally but I haven't been drinking wine. And I've been doing a bit of exercise. It's good to finally see some results.
How much has everyone else lost so far?

spottyshoes · 24/10/2007 10:12

Warm fuzzy morning to everyone
Babyshoes gave me a massive lie in this morning as he just woke up at 9.45!!! fortunately unfortunately that means I have to miss the exercise class this morning but will go for a walk later to compensate.

Well done Mrs SS!!!!!! I'm at 5lbs total so far although feel I will have put some back on this week.

Gorgeous pics s.c what a wee cutie your dd is!

I am in the process of adding pics to mine but am keeping them private and adding you all to the mates list as I dont really want them made public.

pollywollydooooooooodle · 24/10/2007 11:49
