I'm going to attempt to reclaim my slim body

I am so fed up with being fat and feeling self conscious all of the time.

From tomorrow, I'm going to attempt to reclaim my former slim body. I know it's lurking there somewhere underneath all the chub.

Anyone fancy joining me?

I will join you.
I lost weight last year and got slim again but have gained almost a stone over lockdown.
Just started losing weight again, almost at the end of second week.
Lost 2.5lbs week one. Weighing tomorrow.
How much are you wanting to lose?

clariss · 11/07/2020 18:59

Hello @mamapants, thank you so much for keeping me company.

Honestly, I do not know what I weigh. I think probably around 12.5 to 13 stone. I would love to get back to 9.5 stone.

It will be a big day for me tomorrow getting on the scales.

I would like to join you also, I'm pissed off with how i look. I am 10st 9lb and would like to get back to my happy weight of 9 stone. I will start Monday, this time I will stick to it I hope!

clariss · 11/07/2020 19:17

Thank you for joining @jaimebravo. I am feeling so fed up being fat. I'm going to start tomorrow. I can't put it off any longer.

I would love your motivation to start tomorrow.
I find when i am working its a lot easier to stay focused on the diet than when I am off. I will prep some salads and soups tomorrow for my lunches during the week.

MusicToMyEars800 · 11/07/2020 19:33

I’m in! I have been losing weight and have lost over 1.5 stone so far, but have hit a wall and have stopped losing and possibly gained a bit, but am too scared to step on the scales, I will look tomorrow and check back In.

clariss · 11/07/2020 19:36

@MusicToMyEars800 I'm scared to weigh myself too. I'm going to do it first thing in the morning.

I will join two . About 12 stone would like to be 9. Probably going to do slimming world plus exercise!

MusicToMyEars800 · 11/07/2020 19:39

I lost weight quite quickly by exercising everyday and cutting carbs, I did the ketogenic diet for 9weeks and then gradually re introduced them, but that’s my biggest weakness, carbs 😭 and wine, but that also needs to stop.

clariss · 11/07/2020 19:39

@2019user44 hi, thanks for joining. I have no idea how I'm going to tackle the weight loss. I seem to be stuffing my face all day long so I will start with massively cutting back.

@MusicToMyEars800 I love carbs too. I need to get moving a lot more. I'm going to start with taking over the dog walking from tomorrow.

The magic exercise for me OP is burpees they are the devils exercise but are so effective, we can stick together and support each other through the journey.

clariss · 11/07/2020 19:56

@MusicToMyEars800 I'm off to google burpess 😃

Me! I'm so sick of feeling uncomfortable and none of my clothes fit how I want them to. I'm always are of rolls down my back, or bulges under my bra strap or that my trousers are too tight around my thighs.

I've put on 21lbs in the last 18 months, and now it's got yo disappear, along with the 2st I was going to lose before I put on more weight!

Not sure exactly how, but I definitely want to be at least 2.5st lighter by Xmas....

clariss · 11/07/2020 20:03

@muddledmidget it really is depressing isn't it. I am so fed up with constantly feeling bad about my fatness. I spend a lot of time worrying about it. Tomorrow it's all gonna change. 2.5 stones gone by Christmas sounds lovely.

FarquarKumquatsmama · 11/07/2020 20:29

Same. I am 11 stone 8 and I should lose a stone or maybe more.
I will start tomorrow with a walk/jog.
Then I will try and stomach a shake (left from the last attempt at dieting).
When I eat, it will be low carb.
I am going to succeed this time ✊

clariss · 11/07/2020 20:32

@FarquarKumquatsmama we are both going to succeed! I'm not sure how I'm going to tackle it but I will start by weighing myself.

I’m in! I have fallen off the wagon spectacularly over the past 4 days as we are away visiting inlaws and every day seems to revolve around elaborate meals and baking and wine and I just can’t opt out or I’d feel very self-conscious.

Prior to this I’d been on a great run of three weeks low-calorie and exercise and had lost 8lb. Felt amazing.

I’m telling myself this is a short break and I’ll get straight back to it on Monday when we’re home.

The previous three weeks taught me that I absolutely can do it and will do it.

clariss · 11/07/2020 20:37

@TheNewLook yes get back on it on Monday. It sounds like you were doing good to lose 8lb. It's difficult saying no to family when there is food involved. Hopefully you haven't done too much damage. Good luck.

FarquarKumquatsmama · 11/07/2020 20:57

@TheNewLook or anyone: any particular workouts: exercise you recommend?

I’m a swimmer so have fallen off the wagon spectacularly over the last few months.

HastySlander · 11/07/2020 21:20

Hi, do you mind if I slink roll in? I'll weigh myself in the morning but think I have about 3 stone to lose Blush. I found my massive box of size 8's under the bed today, itching to get back in them...

clariss · 11/07/2020 22:00

Hello @HastySlander glad that you are joining. How lovely would it be to get back into a size 8. I will post my starting weight in the morning. I am not looking forward to the reunion with the scales.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 11/07/2020 22:04

I'll join you OP!
I have 3 stone to loose Blush

clariss · 11/07/2020 22:28

@SmiledWithTheRisingSun welcome, thanks for joining.
