I'm going to attempt to reclaim my slim body

I am so fed up with being fat and feeling self conscious all of the time.

From tomorrow, I'm going to attempt to reclaim my former slim body. I know it's lurking there somewhere underneath all the chub.

Anyone fancy joining me?

Hi lovelies!! I feel this is thread for me to be among friends😂I have 3 stone to lose and it was my official Day 1 today😁 Obviously with it only being day 1 I am full of enthusiasm but I know how quick my motivation wanes.... that's why i now have 3 stone to lose and am the heaviest I've ever been! I have so many clothes I'd love to wear again but hell just being able to feel nice in a pair of skinnies again would be a Major Achievment.
So I'm definitely in xxxx

MusicToMyEars800 · 11/07/2020 23:31

We can all do this! I started my journey at 13 stone11IbsBlush am now 12,4 but still massively overweight for my height I should be weighing around 9stone so the whip cracking starts tomorrow. I just hope I haven’t undone all my hard work with a couple of weeks of terrible choices Sad

MusicToMyEars800 · 11/07/2020 23:32

Good luck everyone, I know it’s hard to stay motivated. I have a saying though and it’s no pain. I gain and there’s no gain without hard work so here we go. 😬

Crystalspider · 11/07/2020 23:39

12st and 5'8 would like to lose at least 2st to be around 10st realistically.
Feel so tired and sluggish all the time, have so many lovely clothes that I can't fit into, all this weight gain is from this year! diet starts now

MrsEricBana · 11/07/2020 23:45

Hi all, I'm in the same boat. I started online WW a couple of weeks ago as my neighbour used it to great success. Good so far. Seems to be about eating healthier stuff rather than purely calorie counting.

spottygymbag · 12/07/2020 00:13

I'd love to join in. I've got 9kg to lose after DC2 arrived 3months a go and I learnt from number one that I'm not one of those that can miraculously breast feed the weight away.
Ive started fasting to limit the hours a day I can graze because I'm working from home part time and it was just too easy to snack all day.
I've also just started running again but feel so self conscious going out for a run at this weight. I'm finding it really hard to schedule it in between daycare runs, breast feeding, working and general household upkeep.
DH is supportive but I still feel like I'm trying to be in three places at once a lot of the time and swing between enthusiastic "I can do this" and despairing "I'll never get the weight off".
It also turns out DS is allergic to something so I'm currently on a restricted clean diet of chicken and veg and all things dairy, soy and egg free which I'm hoping will help with the diet side of things.
I desperately want to feel good in myself again and last time I felt that way was pre-kids when I was distance running but that feels like a lifetime ago these days.
The one thing that gets me out is the saying " Today I will do what others won't so tomorrow I can do what others can't".
Let's all be the ones that do and can!

Well today is my day of reckoning.

Just about to have a shower and weigh myself. There will be tears 😭

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 12/07/2020 08:28

@foreverblessedbee totally feel the same ☹️

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 12/07/2020 08:30

Well done for the weigh in @clariss
Just think - loosing a sensible 2lbs a week will mean you can lose a stone by the end of summer 🙌👍
Will weight myself when I get out of bed! 🤣

clariss · 12/07/2020 08:31

I am in shock with what the scales say. I don't know how I'm going to do this. I am the heaviest I have ever been, including pregnancy.

OP posts:
clariss · 12/07/2020 08:32

Thanks @SmiledWithTheRisingSun, I need to get a grip and sort myself out.

Saladd0dger · 12/07/2020 08:34

Hey guys I’ll join. I lost over 5 stone with slimming world and kept it off for 5 years. The last 6 months plus Iv gained 4 stone back due to low vitamin D and iron. I just feel rubbish all the time, sofa surf all day craving burgers and anything else I shouldn’t be eating. 14 stone start weight 😩

Piixxiiee · 12/07/2020 08:47

Hi I'd like to join too please. I had that moment were you catch yourself in the reflection of a window and do a double take as you dont recognise the fatty looking back at you!! 😔 I think I need to cut back at first, might try to cut bread out too. Then on to shakes for lunches I think. We have a rowing machine and exercise bike ....if I can find them under the clothes! 😮

clariss · 12/07/2020 08:48

Love your name @Saladd0dger. I spend all my time craving chocolate, I have a terrible sweet tooth. I just can't say no.

OP posts:
clariss · 12/07/2020 08:49

@Piixxiiee I believe I have exercise equipment up in the loft. I might attempt to get up there and have a look.

Hey Clariss how tall are you? I am 5.0 so every lb shows! I forgot to weigh myself this morning so will do it tomorrow but think I’m about the same as you. I have always found the 30 day shred works well for weight loss. First breakfast on this mission, two scrambled eggs which was actually very nice although probably could have done with something rocket etc which I’ll get with the shop. Good luck today, you can do it.

clariss · 12/07/2020 10:27

@2019user44 I am 5'5. I carry most of the weight on my belly. I look so round.

OP posts:
foreverblessedbee · 12/07/2020 10:59

Well dine for weighing yourself and facing up to it Clariss.....
Come on guys....the line has been drawn now! We can do this!!!!! So come kn.... onwards and upwards... I keep thinking by the time my boys go back to school in September i at least want to have lost some weight!!

2019user44 · 12/07/2020 11:04

Mine is more evenly spread so I look like an oblong!

Exactly Bee we can do it!

kirstinm · 12/07/2020 11:31

May I join you all? I weighed in at 11 stone 2 last Monday. I’ve put on over a stone in lockdown. Not ashamed to say I cried.

I’ve literally hardly moved the last three months, so it’s not a surprise really. I’m hoping to get down to my pre lockdown weight and then lose a bit more from there as I was a bit uncomfortable even then. I think 9 stone 7 ish would be my ultimate goal.

I’ve been really good this week, walking and logging my calories on MFP. Weigh day is tomorrow so we will see where we are!

clariss · 12/07/2020 11:34

@foreverblessedbee yes we can all do this. I'm just going food shopping and I will be making good food choices. Absolutely no chocolate shall enter my trolley.

Thank you all for joining me, I'm feeling more positive now that I have got over the shock of my weigh in.

OP posts:
clariss · 12/07/2020 11:40

@kirstinm welcome to fat club. Good luck for your weigh in tomorrow.

Nightshifter · 12/07/2020 11:44

May i join you all? I'm almost exactly like @jaimebravo - currently 10 st 9lb, after giving birth recently, but now aiming to get back to about 9st. Or ideally a couple of lbs under that... 9st is my target though.

Have done a click and collect for this week with some lovely fruits and veggies in, to encourage healthy snacking, as that's my downfall. I feel so tired all the time i just reach for junk to get me through the day!

Glad to have company :)
