I'm going to attempt to reclaim my slim body

I am so fed up with being fat and feeling self conscious all of the time.

From tomorrow, I'm going to attempt to reclaim my former slim body. I know it's lurking there somewhere underneath all the chub.

Anyone fancy joining me?

Monday morning weigh in:
5ft 8 and 13st 12

Fruit n yog for breakfast Smile

clariss · 13/07/2020 09:06

@muddledmidget separated cakes! That made me smile.

I went for a three mile walk yesterday with my dog, I couldn't believe how unfit I felt. It's hard work lugging my fat body around. I'm going to go out for another walk in a bit. I am trying to make an effort with moving more.

Good luck for when you weigh.

I weighed myself. I’m 10 stone 2.75 (but I’m only 5’2). My weight always used to be fairly stable at around 9 stone 4 - I’d love to get back to there.

So MFP it is. Plus I’m in my kit and about to do an exercise DVD.

muddledmidget · 14/07/2020 07:59

Weighed myself this morning, 11st13.25 which is a 2.5lb loss! Even after separated cakes

It also put me into the 27.somthing bracket of BMI instead of 28.something.

Healthy BMI here I come (at a snails pace!)

Plan for today

Breakfast - egg and tomato on toast

Lunch - protein shake

Dinner - sandwich on my drive home

Am working 11-8 today with an hours commute which mucks up all my eating, plus the main road is closed tonight so I have to make my way through the tiny lanes, so am just writing off dinner!

clariss · 14/07/2020 08:25

Well done @muddledmidget 2.5lbs loss is great, plus you had cake.

Yesterday was good food wise for me, I kept it slightly under 1200 calories. I have felt really hungry for two days since starting, I'm waiting for my stomach to adjust.

Hi there hoping I can join you all and really hoping I can stick with it.

I just weighed in at 14.4 and I'm only 5'2". I weigh more than I did with my first DC full-term! I want to claim my body and my face back! I too don't recognise myself.

I think I am going to stick to around 1200 calories a day for a start.

At 12 st 10, I can get into some lovely dresses hanging in my wardrobe again (first goal).

At 11.10, I think I can reclaim my old chin, I found photos and there is just the one chin.,
At 10.10, I can wear the size 14 clothes in the wardrobe - with room!

Good luck all!.

clariss · 14/07/2020 08:41

Hi @ChubRubfourteenfour glad that you have joined us. I can't fit into any of my clothes, I look and feel a mess. I have a double chin too!

Well done! The first step...I'm pretty depressed about my weight too - 11 stone 5 and 5'5... I was a size 8 before kids :-( my downfall is wine and crisps, I don't have a sweet tooth. It will be great to get some tips here and pass some on if I have any brainwaves!

muddledmidget · 14/07/2020 09:10

@clariss you're doing great, moving more and eating less is sustainable and before we know it well be back to feeling good about ourselves (plus we'll have fewer chins)

spottygymbag · 15/07/2020 08:44

Checking in- 2.1kg down in 11days and 7.9 to go.
What I wouldn't give for a white chocolate timtam right now.
Sticking to the no dairy, egg, soy diet for my DS (breastfed) and his hives are getting less so that's keeping me on track.

Bobbiepin · 16/07/2020 11:50

Had a much needed exercise boost this morning - 5km run, 10km cycle and 3 Chloe Ting workout videos. Relaxing with a green tea now.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 17/07/2020 08:02

Hello @ChubRubfourteenfour - totally feel your pain!

Planning to persuade DS to come for a bike ride with me today as have been sat infront of a screen working all week Confused

What do everyone's meal plans look like today? I need some inspiration...

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 17/07/2020 08:04

Arrrgh and YES to getting rid of the bloody double chin!!! 🙈😱

ChubRubfourteenfour · 17/07/2020 09:35

Hi Smiled it is definitely the day for a bike ride - it's beautiful out there today.

I WFH, too, in front of a screen, I feel totally de-skilled on the exercise front. Lunchtimes are spent checking out the world on-line instead of taking the dog for a brisk walk and then having lunch. That needs to change. Plus drinking more water

B= weetabix
L= turkey salad pittas and crisps
D= Sticky egg noodles and veg stir-fry in a firecracker sauce, Greek yogurt with chopped fruit.

happinessischocolate · 17/07/2020 13:41

I've lost 10llb now, so if I can do another 2 this week and again next week that'll be superb. I can't see any difference, or where the 10lbs have gone from, although my legs are more toned, I've still got a stomach a sumo wrestler would be proud of 😁

ChubRubfourteenfour · 17/07/2020 18:24

happpiness is chocolate that's amazing! Well done. You must be so pleased.

muddledmidget · 18/07/2020 11:30

I seem to do OK for about 3 days and then it all goes to pot (or cake). Was talking at work yesterday and someone guessed my size as 16-18. I could have cried. I've always been a 12, but guess things have gotten worse than I thought.

I ate 2 galaxy cake bars and a large slice of chocolate cake to make myself feel better.

Today I had a fried egg and sausage sandwich and shook myself out of my misery.

I've signed up to noom to see how I get on with that as I think paying someone £100 every 3 months might focus my mind. Plus the gym partially reopens next weekend so exercise will become easier.

I just wish I could wave a magic wand and my belly would disappear, I'm not sure I'm going to succeed if I have to put effort in to it

clariss · 19/07/2020 08:59

Morning, sorry I've not posted much this week. I've been crazy busy.

Well, I have managed to lose 6lbs this week it is my first weigh in today.

Just got back from a 45 minute dog walk.

How's everyone doing?

ChubRubfourteenfour · 21/07/2020 07:40

Well done Clariss! That is fab.

It's been a week for me so I have weighed in and am officially ChubRub fourteen. So minus 4. Have been a little lazy on the counting calories front. So I need to pay more attention plus take a break at lunchtime and take the dog for a walk today.

It's the start of the summer hols, it would be nice to emerge at the other end a stone down.
