I'm going to attempt to reclaim my slim body

I am so fed up with being fat and feeling self conscious all of the time.

From tomorrow, I'm going to attempt to reclaim my former slim body. I know it's lurking there somewhere underneath all the chub.

Anyone fancy joining me?

Can I join too, I lost half a stone during lockdown but have lost motivation and have just stuck at this weight.

I'm good all day and then the calorie counting just goes out the window in the evening.

I'm trying to get a kettlebell so I can do more exercises, but everywhere is sold out 🙁

I'm in. I'm 48, 14st 10 and 5ft 4, a size 16/18. If I get to 12st I'll still be overweight but will be a size 14, I tend to carry my excess weight fairly well so never look as heavy as I am, though I do look fat.

I know how to do this, I just need to keep my demons under control.

Can I join please? I’ve put on half a stone during lockdown and I’d already put on half a stone in the preceding year. So I have about a stone to lose. I want to fit in my clothes without everything feeling tight.

@thesunisup that's the thing, we all know how to diet but it's all about controlling the food demons.

I was really controlled in the supermarket. Loads of veg and fruit. Healthy eating is actually quite expensive!

Look at it this way clariss soon you be in the 11 stone bracket. I'm just heading into comfortable size 16 territory. Currently wearing 18 on lower half which is loose but I'm not quite 16 trouser yet.

12st and 5'8 would like to lose at least 2st to be around 10st realistically. Feel so tired and sluggish all the time, have so many lovely clothes that I can't fit into, all this weight gain is from this year! diet starts now
I'm 5ft 8" too but 12 stone is my goal weight! Blush

Hi all, I'm in. Been losing weight for the last 6 weeks, using MFP to track calories (1220 a day) and doing 20km daily on my exercise bike. I've just started Chloe Ting's Summer shred to give me a bit of a boost. I'm currently 12 st 1 lb and I have lost 1st 2lbs so far.

Can I join you all please? Bought size 14 clothes on Friday and have had to change them all for 16s which has given me the kick I need. Weighed today and am 12st 13lb which is awful. Aiming to get to 11st for now using calorie counting and increased exercise. I’ll probably try to start running again if I can to buy myself extra calories for a few drinks on weekends 🤣

I'm 15 stone after second baby Sad my first goal is 14 stone. Ultimate goal is 12 stone. Got such a long way to go but I'm on week 6 of Couch to 5k and feel much better!

I’m glad we are all in it together!

I started today - replaced coffee with peppermint tea (because I pour so much milk into my coffee and it’s high in carbs I think), did a 1 hour ashtanga yoga YouTube video and just ate salad with meat/fish.
Feeling positive!

It's my day 2 here, done ok, I'm doing exante meal replacement - goes against everything I ever learnt about healthy eating but have been doing alot of reading on low carb/ very low cal diets and The Blood Sugar Diet by Dr Michael Mosley. It makes for very interesting reading. And as I've been with weightwatchers for literally years and in that time got to goal weight 3 different times and maintained but hen gradually put every single pound back on (whilst still attending meetings every week😂) I figure I'm due a bit of a shake up!!!! I just want this 3 stone gone and then I can concentrate on healthy eating. I'm hoping no food choices will make this easy for me. I gave up alcohol completely in 2017 as again I was all or nothing. It's just easier for me that way. How has everyone else got on today ? Xxx

Morning, how are you all doing?

Yesterday was my first diet day and it was a success. I have woken up today really hungry with a thumping headache, my body is upset by the lack of sugar.

I am logging calories and I ended yesterday on 1,187 so I am really happy with that. I found it difficult watching my daughter eat pizza and garlic bread late last night. She offered me a slice but I resisted. Then she ate a bar of chocolate. She is a size 6!

I forgot to weigh this morning before I came to work but am really hoping it's under 12st this week, as it was 12st 1.5lb last Monday.

The weekend was a bit of a nightmare food wise, Chinese takeaway on Friday and cakes with my parents on Sunday (separated parents so separated cakes!) but I did walk 8 miles yesterday and can feel it in my hips today.

I think that's the worst bit, my body feels like it's falling apart, I never used to feel a walk the next day but this hurts more than when I ran a half marathon 3 yrs ago. Definitely going to do it this time, I wasn't going to be fat at 30, or at 35, and now 40nis coming a bit too fast...
