I was doing well until I came home early and scoffed some of dds chocolate. Should still be around 1000 cals though. I really do need to sort my chocolate addiction out.

I have some mango and chilli salad dressing, it's delicious! Love falafels too.

Not2bObvious · 30/06/2020 15:26

Yeah I’d never have thought of making a salad like that, thanks to a heavily reduced lidl salad I was inspired! I only use 2 falafel & 50gr of couscous, with a tablespoon of dressing - only 200’ish cals.
Promised younger dd takeaway chipper as it’s her last day of school today, poor pet is sad she’s missed the usual fun. I know it’s a small thing in the grand scheme of sadness going around but the little face😔 So that’s me probably in the red too, ahh well no biggie.

So, I just looked back over last weeks food. I had a lot of fruit with yogurt, and also as snacks, so I'm guessing the sugar levels in the fruit may have something to do with it?
And a couple of hot chocolates? I'm really struggling to get to sleep, but the hot chocolate didn't really help.

So I think I'm going to chop up some carrot and cucumber instead of always reaching for the fruit.

Not, I don't think that's small, it is a huge deal for so many! Not having all the fun that they should be having is bloody awful.
Hope you all enjoyed the take away!

Not2bObvious · 30/06/2020 19:27

Chipper was tasty, didn’t eat all my battered fish, wasn’t that nice but I made up for it with chips & garlic mayo yummy 😋
Veg is definitely lower in calories if it works for you as a snack curvy, if you can make the swap do for sure.
Snaccident here - I’ve had a bit of aero, some caramac and a packet of crispsBlush Just come in under calories though and nearly 17,000 steps so it’ll do. I’ll do better with nutrition tomorrow

Not I think it's a massive thing for the children at the moment and anything we can do to cheer them up is worth it.

Curvy raspberries and strawberries are low in sugar as is 0% total yoghurt. But having the veg prepared and in the fridge sounds like a good idea if you're snacking. Wish there was a veg that tasted like chocolate.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 30/06/2020 19:46

Oh me too Wreck!
I do eat those a lot. And I'm having no added sugar vegan yogurt, so I don't know really. Have had peaches, plums, nectarines, satsumas, blueberries, apples, pears and watermelon last week.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 30/06/2020 19:51

Not, glad you enjoyed the chippy tea!

Re, snacking, I think its because I'm at home more.
Was snacking on unhealthy bits too, like oreos, popcorn and crisps, but not lots, just one bag of popcorn, we get lidls oreos, so like 5 or 6 in a pack and 2 bags of crisps.
Not all in one day!

WreckTangled · 30/06/2020 20:01

I've been replacing my snacking with cans of Diet Coke BlushGrin I've run out at the moment though. I think with those fruits they're quite high in fast acting sugars so 1) don't fill you up for long and 2) will cause an insulin spike which if consistent can cause weight gain. Or something. I'm no expert just musing really. Also I do not practice what I preach.

Wolfcub · 30/06/2020 20:04

Thank you Not. Haven't weighed for a few days because it's not been sensible eating if drinking

Three lots of Pilates in four days

Not2bObvious · 30/06/2020 20:07

Oh yeah being at home is so exhausting when trying to avoid snacking. I found it seriously tough this afternoon, the promise of chips made it just about bearable. Evenings though I have to have a little/lot of something - just told my child she could have an apple for her evening snack (like all good parents I hide my awful junk habitHmm)

Thanks Wreck, that makes sense and I will try to stick to the berries now, but they are expensive.
Will definitely cut up some veggies to have on stand by.

Not2bObvious · 30/06/2020 20:44

Frozen berries do work out cheaper, although not as nice I guess?

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 30/06/2020 20:48

I don't mind frozen berries in yoghurt but can't eat them on their own.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 30/06/2020 20:59

Yes can have them in yogurt, but not on their own.

ChristmasSeacow · 30/06/2020 23:34

We spend a fortune on berries, DS loves them.

I’ve always found it much harder to avoid snacking when wfh but oddly, now I’m doing this 800 Cal thing and intermittent fasting, I’m finding it easier because I simply can’t snack. So I don’t ask myself whether I’m hungry and I don’t think about what I can have because the answer is ‘nothing’ - I need the cals for meals! I wouldn’t want to be this strict for the rest of my life but I’m finding this NO SNACK hiatus quite helpful for breaking my awful habits. Like eating a small Kit Kat practically every time I passed the fridge (first 12 weeks of lockdown Blush).

I did a full roast chicken dinner tonight as it’s one of only two dishes the DCs both eat. Such a palaver on a week night. I just ate it with loads of veg and no roasties. Not sure of cals though.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 01/07/2020 06:26

Sea, I spend £20 a week just on berries and that is just for me and dd2, ds2 may have a few every now and again or I just buy him his own blackberries.

I put my food into MFP last night and came in at just over a 1,000, so I think I'm going to start using that again.

My steps for yesterday were just over 23,000.
Plan for this week is to only have one coffee a day and to drink loads more water, log all my food and exercise every day.

Hope you all have a good Wednesday.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/07/2020 06:58

26894 steps yesterday. Went for a 2 hour walk with friends.

We use frozen berries in yoghurt or on food. Lots of fresh as well which costs a fortune at the minute.

Back under 130, just., so good again.

WreckTangled · 01/07/2020 07:17

Up again. Give up 😩

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 01/07/2020 07:23

Brilliant steps life.

Not2bObvious · 01/07/2020 08:59

Some super stepping life
Did a quick midweek scales check, if today was my weigh in, I’d be down .5 on last Wednesday. I probably am owed a little more as very bunged upBlush

Sooo New Month, New Mindset? Will we try use today as a restart day if we’re feeling a bit meh?
Up the steps, up the water, up the veg/fruit! Down the booze (me, but just a little down pls),
Down the chocolate & crisps (me again)
Down the cake (not me so much😉)
Anyone up for it? 31 days to make a difference

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 01/07/2020 09:36

Spose so

But. But. But. I accidentally ordered hotel chocolat for myself Blush

15 min cardio followed by 30 min Pilates. Man I'm shit at Pilates. Will keep going as can only get better, right?!

Not2bObvious · 01/07/2020 10:34

There there wreck, you can totally have your HC..... just not all at once😉
Well done on cardio/Pilates, never tried Pilates as am utterly shite at yoga & thought they’re of the same family. I’m sure you’ll improve over time
A HC shop opened in a shopping centre in Dublin a couple of years ago, nearly bought some but woowee mucho €’s! Way to mean for that

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 01/07/2020 10:35

When I said down the stuff I did mean reduce not cut out! No need for complete madness

OP posts:
Wolfcub · 01/07/2020 10:39

Wreck you can absolutely get better. I was rubbish when I started 18 months ago. I am much much better now but there is still a long way to go. It is amazing how much difference it makes to body shape
