WreckTangled · 28/06/2020 18:12

Happier no veg?!

I had a heck chicken burger and purple broccoli for dinner with jelly for pudding.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 28/06/2020 19:45

Hello everyone.
Sea, well done, that is a brilliant loss!
Felt better today, so did a dance workout this morning, went out with dd2, got her some converse and a few bits we needed.

My food today
B- Yogurt, fruit and coffee.
Lots of water while we were out.
L- beans on toast and coffee.
D- artichoke paella and a pint of squash.
Just over 15,000 steps today too.

ememem84 · 28/06/2020 19:50

Makeshift chicken parm and pasta for dinner. Makeshift because dh used chicken dippers

Yum

WreckTangled · 29/06/2020 06:46

Right I'm recording my weight for the first time since 31st May and I'm 3.2lb up on that (but 1-2lb lower than I was last week Blush) can't believe I put all that weight back on so quickly.

ChristmasSeacow · 29/06/2020 15:23

Went off track rather yesterday with PILs here. Ate a bit too much while they were here as I didn’t want to be ‘on a diet’ and then after they’d gone I found myself grazing a bit on crisps and nuts that were out in bowls. Partly tiredness as DS had me up much of the night and I’d only had a couple of hours sleep, all in.

Back on plan today.

Happier why don’t you eat potatoes - is it a low carb preference or some other reason?

To those of you who used to be able to eat whatever you like and now can’t - I was never that person, so sympathy is a little lacking here Grin

ememem84 · 29/06/2020 15:42

A friend of my mums doesn’t eat potatoes because of the texture.

Another friend of my mums “only drinks champagne” on ddads 60th I offered her a glass of sparkly wine. She said this to me. So I looked a bit 🙄 and said I’d be right back. I took the glass I’d just poured for her into the garage where dparents keep the boooooooze hung around in there for a bit - popped open another bottle of sparkly wine (for the noise - it didn’t go to waste) then returned the glass to her. She drank it and said “much better. I can’t stand the cheap imitations. It has to be champagne”.

silly cow

WreckTangled · 29/06/2020 18:06

An OK day so far but sugar levels low lots so will be a bit higher cals wise but we don't count medication....

Lunch:
Cauliflower rice tabbouleh with feta
A double decker (this wasn't planned but we got thank you packs from our trust and I can't resist a double decker)

Snack: four squares of dd's chocolate

Dinner:
The most delicious cauliflower cheese soup with crispy bacon. (I did baguettes with cheese on under the grill for everyone else).

I'm on 783. I have another double decker in the kitchen, wondering whether to get it over with and eat it so I can be better tomorrow or save it for tomorrow and not be a greedy pig. Grin

Em my dc are like that with ketchup but don't notice the cheap one decanted into a Heinz bottle (I'm sure lots of people can but they definitely can't!)

Happierwithouthim · 29/06/2020 18:30

It's because I was forced to eat them as a child, I actually can't even eat them to be polite! Ditto milk and I only started eating cooked veg again in college.
If I didn't eat it at midday dinner it was put it in front of me again in the eve.

Dm says she was doing what health visitor recommended and I was first child.

I do however eat chips Grin

Last time his mother cooked dinner for me it was boiled bacon cabbage and potatoes. I don't eat any of those but forced some of the bacon and cabbage down myself alright. And when she left the room put some waffles in toaster!!

Wreck I understand that mentality will I just eat it all now because I'm going to eat it anyhow!!

I think I've got my mojo back regarding being in control of food/steps etc at the moment.

Ye will get a laugh from this text I received from exh today "I love you I realy fancy you I think your super sexy xxxx" he didn't send me texts like that in the 13.5 years we were together he must be mortified WinkGrinGrin

Going to hiit class today so nervous

WreckTangled · 29/06/2020 18:39

I ate it. I find it easier to stick to being good all day and then one treat day a week than having a treat food each or some days.

Happier my step dad used to hold my nose to force feed me Hmm

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/06/2020 18:52

Rubbish steps day as chain to laptop. 5500.
Calories and fibres on track. Protein will be if I force a shake.

I had to eat what was in front of my or get it again. Luckily I liked the food mostly.

Me too sea. I can also report in no longer a size 8 as well. Grin

ememem84 · 29/06/2020 20:23

Crap steps. Crappy food.

Croissant for breakfast (yummm)
Digestive biscuit at tea break time
Cheesey cheese sandwich - I was at dparents and Dm uses cream cheese as butter on cheese sandwiches. Delicious but cheeeeeeeeeeeesy
Some of ds’ bunny rabbit shaped crisps
Roasted veg and couscous for dinner.

wreck dh swears he can tell Heinz ketchup. He can’t. I do the same as you and decant it into the Heinz bottle.

Not2bObvious · 29/06/2020 20:31

Focussing on getting steps and sticking to cals, won’t be winning any nutrition awards for sure. I love double deckers....

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 29/06/2020 20:43

Me too not I think they're the most underrated chocolate bars. I've seen a recipe for a double decker brownie but I'm going to wait until I see my sister again and make it for us then.

ememem84 · 29/06/2020 21:21

Oooh double decker.

Yum.

I’m back on the intermittent fasting now. Coukdnt today because Dm is a worrier. If she thought I was restricting food she’d be all over me and I’d never hear the end of it.

ChristmasSeacow · 29/06/2020 21:58

I can’t really remember what’s in a double decker. It’s probably best I don’t find out - chocolate is my kryptonite.

I am going to do lots of baking this weekend and then give most of it away. I just really enjoy baking. Sigh.

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/06/2020 07:07

How come you are giving it away. Apart from the obvious not eating it?

I used to bite off the crunchy bottom then eat the nougat. Haven't had one for years. Mine to sea.

WreckTangled · 30/06/2020 07:28

I daren't bake things. I made a tiffin the other week and ate most of it myself.

Up a bit this morning not recording though. Will have a better day today hopefully.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 30/06/2020 07:33

My weight this morning is 11s12lbs, so I'm the same as last week.
Was hoping for a loss really, so I'm disappointed.
Will have to try better this week.

After I've dropped dd2 to school I'm going for a jog.

Not2bObvious · 30/06/2020 08:27

That’s a pity curvy, my brain is jelly these days so apologies if I asked before but are you calorie counting or following SW at the minute? I was up a little last week but I knew it was just a normal flux/around maintain. No idea how I’ll get on this week on my Friday weigh in, will do a quick check tomorrow to see where I am roughly but won’t record. Main thing is not to gain week after week, that’s a great starting point.
Awake around 5 all the time now, went out walking at 5.30 to 7.15, have over 12,500. Work starts at 9am

OP posts:
ChristmasSeacow · 30/06/2020 08:29

Haven’t you lost quite a bit overall Curvy? What was your starting weight?

Yes Life, mostly so I don’t eat it. And I have friends who like being baked for Wink.

Stayed on plan yesterday. I’m only weighing weekly so not much to report. I’m not sure when I’m going to get lunch today though, I am solidly in online meetings from 9-3, though I need to go on the school run at 2.30pm so will have to duck out.

It’s going to be a busy day!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 30/06/2020 11:29

Not, I'm doing SW, might have to calorie count as well though.
I mean I haven't been a complete angel, but was much better than the previous week.
I know I should be happy with a maintain though.
Will look over last weeks food to see if I can spot anything.

Sea, yes I have. When I started 2 years ago I was 13 and a half stone. Maybe a bit more.
When I started SW at the end of Feb, my starting weight was 12s4.5lbs.

Again I know I should be happy, but just wanted to see a little movement on the scales.

ememem84 · 30/06/2020 12:56

well i failed with intermittent fasting today. I forgot. and had breakfast first thing. no run either as its raining and im a fair weather runner.

have been careful with my food choices though. so thats a positive.

Not2bObvious · 30/06/2020 13:06

Calorie counting is second nature to me now, wish I didn’t have to but it is what it is - might shine a light on what’s keeping you at maintenance.
Discovered a new salad combo of falafel and fruity couscous with mango chilli dressing. Bought a pre-made version last week, then made my own with stuff from Aldi. Very tasty and low cal. I’ll probably be chewing my arm off come dinnertime being up since just after 5.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 30/06/2020 14:17

I've failed at calorie counting today. Well I counted them but the sum total was too many.

Sounds lovely that does not
