Same life not great choices here!

Gym was ace though. Finding things easier suddenly which is a nice boost.

WreckTangled · 27/08/2020 16:18

Low carbs noodles with satay chicken for lunch. A snack of some chicken slices and that's it so far. Dinner is sausages and [cauliflower] mash, it's that kind of weather... low steps today. Haven't done any exercise in ages.

Not2bObvious · 27/08/2020 16:41

Cannot stop eating!!! Lack of sleep for the last 4 nights have caught up with me, just grazing my way through the day. Toying with the idea of a takeaway for dinner, have flip all food in that isn't frozen & in my pjs so not getting dressed to go to the shops. Might be able to do something with frozen fish but that sounds so depressing

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/08/2020 18:35

I need to go to a supermarket but it's awful outside. Let sigh.

Not2bObvious · 27/08/2020 18:38

Made depressing fish dish, not that depressing with some white wine😬 Didn't eat it all so have a portion left for lunch tomorrow.
The weather is pants here too life, I'm making a post holiday shopping list but am determined just to buy the stuff I need to turn my freezer haul into meals. Freezer needs emptying and defrosting, I need to stop buying "bargains" - not a bargain if you don't need or use

Ducky spring rolls, steak woth peoper sauce and chippies and ores ice cream sundae for lunch. Plus a bottle and half of wine (sorry not sorry).

So lovely. Had lunch with dsis. Was so nice to just have one on one time with her.

SnugglySnerd · 27/08/2020 22:08

I am bloody starving! Lunch involved sandwiches, cold pizza and crisps so I had a light tea and some strawberries with Skyr but it hasn't really touched the sides. I started a pear this evening but it had gone all "fluffy" if you know what I mean. Why are pears only really nice for approximately 5 mins??

Indecisivelurcher · 27/08/2020 22:12

Hello, how longs this been going on and can new people join in? What's the criteria? I was on a different thread but it seems to have petered out...

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/08/2020 06:44

Not recording this morning spike. Lots of fresh stuff on my fridge so no excuse today. Horrible weather makes getting g steps a chew

Anyone can join though we've being going a while

ememem84 · 28/08/2020 07:42

Feeling ok ish today after the wine yesterday. Suprisingly.

Not2bObvious · 28/08/2020 10:09

Not recording my own spike, it's not a spike it's on a Richter scale level!
Your time with your sister sounds so nice em, totally no regrets needed there. Glad the vino hasn't killed you.
Back to 1668, not that I stuck to 2100! It's going to be a lean week

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/08/2020 07:43

Meh day yesterday 1lb off this week. Should be more. Hey ho

WreckTangled · 29/08/2020 07:48

I wasn't very healthy yesterday I didn't have a proper meal at all just snacks Blush

Not2bObvious · 29/08/2020 09:39

Congratulations on the pound life, better off than on for sure.
Down 2.4 from my scary weigh in yesterday so back 164.6, lightest I've been this summer was 159.4 so a ways to go to get back to that start line. Did shocking yesterday, too much wine led to too many treats. Today's another day, did an 8,000 step walk so that's a start. Healthy breakfast consumed, game on!

Hi all!
I fell off the thread, my life has been a bit like a soap opera lately!
Do you all remember me telling you that my uncle who had cancer? Well he had a heart attack the other week and it was touch and go for a bit, there was talk of switching off the machine.
His son had to give him CPR before the ambulance arrived and because my uncle was out for a while they think some brain damage is possible.
But then my uncle woke up asked for his wife and seems to be doing ok, but will still have to wait and see if there is any lasting damage. And not being able to go and see him is hard. None of us really like his wife, she is very stubborn and trying to get information out of her is difficult, but my mum, her sisters and my other uncles have come to a compromise with her, fingers crossed the communication continues.

Also found out that my ex is seeing my cousin, I'm so fucking angry about it!
He seems to think it isn't a big deal.
I just want to punch them both very hard.
I mean it's a bit weird right?

I have spent some money on a new sofa bed, so that my daughter can have the bedroom to herself and I will sleep in the living room, have got some new bits of furniture too, never really had anything new apart from beds, so it feels nice and I got to make all the decisions about it.
Have got my eye on a few other things, but will need to save a little first.
Then will decorate the whole house, it hasn't been touched in years, so lots to do, but my eldest son will help.

All of the ex's shit has gone now, so was able to give everything else a really good sort out and have decluttered loads of stuff. Having more space makes me happy!
Still a way to go, but I now have all paperwork in one filing cabinet, sorted into piles of shedding and keeping.

Will try to sort out more stuff today, my children have too much stuff!

My weigh in at slimming world on Tuesday was 11s 11.5lbs. So its coming back off, just wish it came off as easy as it goes on!

Sorry this was so long!

Put a similar post on the other thread too.

Will try to keep up now!

Not2bObvious · 29/08/2020 14:49

Gosh that's a lot curvy, I hope your uncle is ok - so difficult at the moment as well. I don't know your situation with your ex but ewww going out with your cousin is a bit too close to home imo. I need a bit of your energy to clean up my house, gone fierce shabby. Painting needs doing badly!
You're the right side of the 12, I think you're doing great

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 29/08/2020 15:08

Not, thank you, we are all hoping he will be ok, he is still in hospital waiting to be strong enough to have the op.

I separated from my ex last year in April time.
I was fed up of me and the kids always coming last.
I was working a full week, coming home doing all of the house work, all meals, sorting out kids appointments, doing all life admin etc.
He does work but mostly at weekends, or 2-3 times a week.
I kept asking for help, he ignored me, so I just started to do it all myself and it was easier and I realised that I could cope so figured I didn't need a man child too.

Yes she is my first cousin! Excuse my swearing, but I thought you didn't shit in your own back yard!
(And for swearing in my previous post).

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/08/2020 17:29

They both deserve to be punched multiple times. Fingers crossed for duncle. Great on staying on track.

Not going to be on track today but did get a dab on washing walls

Not2bObvious · 29/08/2020 18:58

Oh don't worry about the swearing, you're more reserved than I am. He sounds like a bit of c**klodger, let her have the joy of him! You deserve better and are clearly making a better life for yourself which is always the best revenge😘

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/08/2020 20:56

I had to read three times to spot the swearing. Guess that means I swear too much Grin
Ah well zero fs given

SingToTheSky · 29/08/2020 21:22

Love a bit of swearing :o

Curvy sorry things have been so tough.

I have been carb crazy the last couple of days. I really need to up my protein in easy ways.

NSV today though, saw SIL for the first time in ages and she noticed the weight loss. Also wore a jumper I’ve ignored for ages and it looks much nicer, I felt good in it!

But. Carbs. FFS. I would be very surprised if I lose this Monday.

DS’ birthday tomorrow (how is my baby boy ELEVEN!!!) so food won’t be great! I may even have a bit of slush puppy because I ordered a jug of it for the bowling alley :o

My new fitness thing arrived, I got an aerobics step. There is no way I could manage a class of an hour but doing small bits of exercise is working well for me so this is something else I can do even if it’s five minutes at a time to start.

ememem84 · 29/08/2020 21:26

Oh carbs. I tried no carbs once. Dh basically had to force feed me pasta on day 4. I was so so miserable. Haha.

17000 steps today. Phew.

ememem84 · 29/08/2020 21:26

17773 to be precise.

SnugglySnerd · 29/08/2020 22:13

Not done too well today. Been to a bbq. There was beer and cake. Did walk there and back though and ate a bit of salad as a token effort Grin

Not2bObvious · 30/08/2020 06:32

I get quite torn on the carbs, i absolutely couldn't do true low carb for any length of time. I need the energy but also notice that they don't necessarily fill me up for long enough at time but then I'm a hungry b*stard most of the time. Ahhh Happy Birthday to your ds, hope he has a great day. My youngest has her birthday next month & I'm truly at a loss as to what to do. Covid has rightly buggered everything up
