Woop woop! I've lost 4 pounds this week. Can't understand it as I've done nothing different from last week when i put on 3 Confused.

Today's food -
B Cereal and fruit juice
L Ham sandwich, apple
D Roast beef, SW Yorkies, peas, parsips, roast tatties (OK falling off the wagon a bit, but it's a Father's day treat)
S Probably nothing but a coffee - since I've been trying to be good I have totally lost my appetite for biscuits, apart from homebakes

TheHoneyBadger · 21/06/2020 11:50

Late night hunger attack last night but managed to contain it with a few garlic crackers and a couple of slices of halloumi.

Scales have held steady but hoping to see a bit of a loss tomorrow if I can be good today. No calories yet and about to go for a decent walk with the dog.

Congrats rara Smile

MonsteraCheeseplant · 21/06/2020 14:00

Yay! Congratulations Rara.

Has anyone tried low calorie spaghetti? I just tried it for lunch today and I was very impressed! I bought it from Asda. I've had something similar before and it was smelly and gross but this didn't have that issue thankfully. Anyway I recommend it.

That's fantastic Rara Rachel

SuperPixie247 · 21/06/2020 17:51

Well done Rara Smile

20 miles is absolutely incredible!

Lost another 2lb this week but I am doing less than 1000 calorie days and thought I would lose more but ah well.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 21/06/2020 19:13

Hi all,

B bacon sandwich
L noodle salad, crisps
D fish and chips (oven cooked)

Definitely over today as some snacks too. Both our cars are now broken down (mind has a flat battery - we think - and DHs exhaust has rusted through so it's patched up until we can get to a garage. FFS.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 21/06/2020 19:40

Oh bummer about the cars @Honeysucklejasmine. I could've killed for a bacon sandwich this morning.

I discovered that Kingsmill 50/50 bread is like 64 calories which is much better than what I was buying before.
I also discovered Asda 'light' chocolate mousse pots which are also around 60 calories. I haven't tried them yet but can't wait to. (currently using up Aero mousses - 94 and Wispa mousses 85 or something, can you see a trend here...)
I also discovered that if you buy a boxed cake mix and bake it with coke zero instead of oil and eggs, it's much fewer calories than it otherwise would be.
It's been a productive weekend Grin

B: Honey on toast
L: low cal spaghetti with pesto prawns and mushrooms
D: Huevos rotos
S: Choccie mousse with raspberries/strawberries and a small square of cake. Cranberry juice
1200 dead on Grin

Reduced fat bacon medallions are really nice and low calorie.

Hangoverstruggles · 21/06/2020 20:36

That spaghetti looks interesting Monstera, did it taste ok?

I've gone over today but knew I would. I did manage a 5k run and have not really sat down since 7am so been active.

B banana, coffee
L 2 boiled eggs, 1 & half pieces of toast, 1 piece of fudge
D saag paneer, half a pilau rice, some of the kids korma, at least 2 big poppadoms & yogurt dip, mini magnum, low cal beer

Comes to 1550 but not sure how accurate the takeaway recording is. 'Twas delicious so don't really care Grin

MonsteraCheeseplant · 21/06/2020 20:45

It didn't taste of anything tbh.
@SuperPixie247 Reduced fat bacon medallions sound amazing, where did you find them?

OP posts:
SuperPixie247 · 21/06/2020 22:16

They were in the co-op. But I bet you can find them in most supermarkets. 40 calories for 2 rashers!

Octopus37 · 22/06/2020 07:46

Monstera, that sounds interesting about the boxed cake and coke zero, have never heard that before. Did okish overall yesterday, sticking to not eating until late morning or 12ish, its definitely making me feel a bit ore in control. 9st1 this morning so feel as if I have undone the moving stress weight. Still aiming for 8st13.75 by the end of June

MonsteraCheeseplant · 22/06/2020 08:33

@Octopus37 sounds like you're making progress! Well done Smile
Yeah it's all over Reddit weight loss subs See here and here

I'm up a lb from over the weekend which is a little confusing.

Could be muscle gain or inflammation from the mega walk?

Weight steady here. Be nice to see a dip but hey ho.

Woke very early and took the dog for a walk then sat and listened to the birds and enjoyed the peace.

Yesterday I had jacket potatoes with cottage cheese and anchovies and a small bag of cheese puffs.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 22/06/2020 09:40

Yes you sound right about that HoneyBadger

everycowandagain · 22/06/2020 09:54

Morning all. I weighed in this morning and held steady which I count as a success because I ate a ton of chocolate ganache and DS's birthday cake this week, offset by a good amount of exercise and lots of small sensible choices.

I am going to get back to tracking food this week, with the hope of going on our summer hols 5 weeks on Thursday.

I am finding progress is slower than I would expect, partly because I am not being consistent enough with food and partly I think because my general level of activity is lower. My non lockdown life has 10000+ steps a day and at the moment I just don't get that. Perhaps I need either some extra cardio or to trim my calories a bit? (Although the latter appeals a lot less!!)

everycowandagain · 22/06/2020 09:56

These bacon medallions sound interesting! We had a cooked breakfast with chicken sausages and turkey bacon yesterday, the kids love the sausages but the bacon is very average!!

everycowandagain · 22/06/2020 09:58

Well done Hangoverstruggles and RaraRachel, great to hear about your success!!

RaraRachael · 22/06/2020 10:11

Thanks for the encouraging words. I'm feeling a lot better as I finally seem to be making progress Smile

TheHoneyBadger · 22/06/2020 11:29

Trimming out of control hedges and pulling up a carpet of grass that had encroached upon the drive and the public pathway. It’s been like that since I moved in. Bloody hard work. My arms are shaking Blush

I find exercise has to be practical for me. So for instance when I’ve lived a couple of miles from work and walked there and back as no bus route or I’ve been taking care of a big dog that needs massive walks (my dog is tiny). Unless I live by the sea and then I’m always swimming but think of that as joy rather than exercise. Apparently trying to maintain my overgrown front driveway come sitting area is a really good workout Shock

MonsteraCheeseplant · 22/06/2020 13:44

I bought some bacon medallions, they look great! More calories than yours but not by much and they are pretty big so still great value calories-wise. I was dying for a bacon sandwich at the weekend so these will be quite a treat 😀

Hi all,
Doing ok here. I'm trying to fast (as in stick to 500 calories for the day) today as I've been over nearly every day this week (aside from another fast day) but I'm finding it hard. I'm pretty much up to the limit now as I've just eaten my tea.
Any tips from more experienced fasters?

TheHoneyBadger · 22/06/2020 17:58

Sleep as early as possible!

Strangely I find getting out for a walk when you feel like that helps switch state. Otherwise lots of herbal tea and seriously-sleep as early as you can.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 22/06/2020 19:37

Hi all, well done on the losses! Some really interesting chat here about various calorie saves. My best tip is to freeze chocolate mousse pots (like aero etc) and have them instead of ice cream.

B sausage omelette
L salad, soup
D pork stir fry

If you have Netflix I've really enjoyed "The Titan Games". It's like Gladiators, but x100. No professionals either, just ordinary people. Absolutely inspiring from a fitness point of view.
