Hello, I have binged my way through lockdown, I was already a couple of stone overweight.

I am so fed up with myself and am beyond miserable.

Have decided that today is the day I start slim fast!

Anyone wasn't to join me? Would love some company and motivation.

Checking in for the meal replacement thread!

I'm on day 8 of slim fast. Have lost 2lb and 10cm from my stomach.

I have 2 stone to lose initially ( to get out of obese) then another two get to the middle of healthy on the BMI chart. First one is most import as awaiting medical treatment.

Bought a new diet tracking book, for sharing on board as coach (he is slim and exercises a lot- he is also strict Confused) downloaded nutra check. Did my body measurements with dh help and recorded them in the book.

Sticking to 1200 calories. For 12 weeks a how is how long the tracking book lasts. How to lose 24lb in that time no hols planned so no excuses!

I'm doing one shake at lunch 3 x 100 cal snacks and a meal with a pudding. Meal will be anything but portioned controlled and with a pudding!

Dusted of a loaned exercise bike bike too.

Hi today and cherry pie I found you! Thanks for starting this thread. Thank you both for replying to my thread.hows it going for you both?

I’m sorry to say and ashamed but I’ve already broken it! I had a shake for breakfast but now for lunch I’ve had 2 cupcakes. Looking at the calories it’s actually less than the shake would have been so NO I’m convincing myself I haven’t broken it and will have a healthy meal later lol!

Keep me updated on your progress

Anon20201 · 30/05/2020 13:34

Cherry pie just read your post. OMG! 10cm off your waist is amazing! Have u stick to it religiously?

cherrypiepie · 30/05/2020 14:00

@Anon20201 thanks I was amazed! 2lb didn't seem much for the first week but 10cm is really motivating.

It helped me to have someone else fill in my book so in this case dh. He didn't believe me either.

Yes religiously 1200 calories on nutracheck. this is new to me. I have done mfp for years. Log everything even a blueberry Grin

Went over one days so had a light day the next day.

I decided one Shake a day a so can have nicer evening meals -worth the I hunger occasionally and got used to it. Waited 20 minutes before eating anything, always sitting down to eat

Also know this is not sustainable long terms but need to break bad habits first and shift the extra 4 stone!

Anon20201 · 30/05/2020 17:32

Ladies I’m starting tomorrow now. I’m having gush n chips for dinner Grin

I hate myself. Please give me some motivation x

Anon20201 · 30/05/2020 17:33

Gush? No fish n chips!

Anon20201 · 30/05/2020 17:33

My husband is saying he knows I wouldn’t last! Angry. I’m determined now tomorrow I will last.

WhoWhatWheree · 30/05/2020 17:38

Hey, just started today. For breakfast i’ve had the Caramel shake, lunch for salad and will have another shake for dinner. I’m trying not to snack today because I know they’re my downfall- I’ve got a tesco delivery coming tomorrow filled with fruits and health bars. Currently 13.6 stone😫🥺

Anon20201 · 30/05/2020 17:45

@whowhatwhere well done u! I’ll join u tomorrow

today118 · 30/05/2020 17:48

@Anon20201 bless you, at least you are being honest.

Start again tomorrow, keep posting on here. Hopefully more will join so we can encourage each other. I was too scared to weigh myself this morning so I will be brave in the morning. Do the same, we can have a Sunday weigh in every week.

Every time that you are tempted with food, just post on here instead. Even if it's fifty times a day 🤣

@WhoWhatWheree well done for starting! I have a tub of strawberry slim fast. Am going to order the cafe latte and banana tubs on Amazon Prime as they are only £4.97 which is cheaper than going to town.

Oh good timing. I’ve just taken delivery of more than a month’s worth after a scary encounter with the scales! Starting tomorrow morning.

today118 · 30/05/2020 17:58

@ArriettyJones I'm going to have that scary moment tomorrow morning. I'm not looking forward to it, but I do need a starting point. There will be tears 😭

I've been looking for a meal replacement thread - perfect timing!

I started Slim and Save on 1st may and I've lost 15 lbs. I'm finding it easy to stick to because I've got a good mix of meals, shakes and bars. I'm also having sugar free jelly and birds eye frozen veg bags.

My downfall is not drinking enough water but I'm trying to have a glass every hour. Good luck everyone!

ginginchinchin · 30/05/2020 18:02

I should have said the last time I tried this I only bought shakes but couldn't sustain it. Hoping this time I manage.

today118 · 30/05/2020 18:03

@ginginchinchin hello, you are doing so well. I struggle with drinking enough water too so need to make much more of an effort.

OP posts:
ginginchinchin · 30/05/2020 18:05

Tbh I can't believe I've stuck to it! Lockdown has definitely helped me with this Smile

today118 · 30/05/2020 18:08

@ginginchinchin I need to stick to this, literally no clothes fit me. I am down to one pair of jeans and they are stretched to the limit. If the zip bursts I will be down to my bath robe 🤣

Hi Op,
There is a chap on youtube whose videos I like called Mike Jeavons. He has made a series of videos about his week on slim fast and as far as I remember was quite positive about them. It might be worth a look. All the best with your journey.

today118 · 30/05/2020 18:09

Thanks @TheDuchessofDukeStreet , I will take a look.

I know. It’s horrible. But once the numbers start falling, it will cheer us up.

Fiddlersgreen · 30/05/2020 18:38

I’ve been thinking about starting slim fast and now this post must be fate telling me to do it!
Amazon looks that the quickest way to get some but I worry about expiry dates, where do you all get your slim fast from?

today118 · 30/05/2020 18:43

I@Fiddlersgreen I got a tub of strawberry slim fast on amazon prime last week, just checked the best before and it's July 2021.
