Hello, I have binged my way through lockdown, I was already a couple of stone overweight.

I am so fed up with myself and am beyond miserable.

Have decided that today is the day I start slim fast!

Anyone wasn't to join me? Would love some company and motivation.

Lol takeaway! Be proud of yourself for resisting. Yes day 2 for me today I’m starving too.

Goodluck everyone.

cherrypiepie · 01/06/2020 09:04

Well done @Anon20201 and @today118. Oprah (so very 90s) once said that the hunger is the fat cells being gnawed away - I like that idea.

I am day 9 today and it is much easier and I am bizarrely really enjoying it!!

We had a amazing Greek souvlaki on BBQ with Greek salad and tzatziki (homemade) and a 112 calorie

I bought a food diary (see pic) from
Home bargains that I recommend lasts 12 weeks and has spaces for weight, measures and a Lots of other bits too as well a daily diary- was £1.99!

It's a BBQ tonight at a friends so that will be interesting!

Sorry for the waffle!

Plan for today:

B- Banana
EX- exercise bike
L- shake
Sn- Flat peach and pomegranate
D- BBQ

Slim Fast/meal replacement starting today.

Morning @cherrypiepie, you are doing really well. Love the idea of a food diary, I will have a look online. I will be walking the dog in a bit for a bit if exercise. I'm so hungry!

cherrypiepie · 01/06/2020 11:51

Thanks @today118. Hope you enjoyed the of walk In the gorgeous sunshine. I just hope I can keep it up for 12 weeks as I realise now it is a big commitment.

Normally would be looking forward to a summer of weddings, parties, bbqs, afternoon teas and holidays and they can soon derail me so no excuses this year.

Also wfh I can pop in the exercise bike and no biscuits and cake brought in by my lovely colleagues.

Anon20201 · 01/06/2020 12:43

Fiddlers - I got mine from Tesco. I went around 9pm when my kids were sleeping it was empty. Goodluck!

Anon20201 · 01/06/2020 12:46

Cherry - I’ve been using my excercise bike too. I wish I started years ago! It was just sitting in the shed

LlamaofDrama · 01/06/2020 17:46

Well done, it sounds as though there's a lot of taking control going on!

I've done a 3-3.5kk run (same route as yesterday but I ran slightly more of it and a walk with a friend. I have another possible walk later so I'm all good on exercise. I've done well with food if I ignore that I've just looked up the kcal in chocolate digestive and it's more than I was counting on Hmm. Oh well, live and learn.

cherrypiepie · 02/06/2020 08:37

@LlamaofDrama Choc digestives are amazing especially the m and s ones.

You will have to swap to a rich tea finger biscuit - not quite the same.

Yes much more control - it is great!

LlamaofDrama · 02/06/2020 09:00

Exercise! Why does it have to be so mean?

A run and two walks yesterday totted up at just over 2I Cal burned and 22k steps. Today I hurt really quite badly and DH dragged me out for an early bike ride. 88 kcal! That so wasn't worth the pain.

I'd throw in the towel but I can't be bothered Shock

Hope you all have good days of making good choices! It's shake time here.

cherrypiepie · 02/06/2020 09:13

I have just started exercise if after about 6 years. I find the first 15 minutes awful then I don't want to stop. I never would have thought it!

It does make me eat better too - I have no idea why!

Brokenchair1 · 03/06/2020 08:44

Went rouge for a few days but my slim and save delivery came yesterday so back on it today. Black coffee and a bar for breakfast.

Went onto my slim and save measurements. Last year when I did it my start weight was 114 and I went down to 108 before i fell off the wagon. Starting now and weight - drumroll please- 123kg. So ten kg up on my last start weight. I could weep.

Am now a size 20. I'm 6ft so a size 14/16 (which I was 7 yrs ago) works well for me. I look nice and curvy then.

For full disclosure I went on to citalopram 5 yrs ago for anxiety and have gained a good 20kg in that time. I'm slowly coming off them now but I think my metabolism is messed up.

Struggling with emotional eating as having DC behavior problems at home so my go to is a big bar of chocolate after I finally get her to sleep.

Anyway, playing the world's smallest violin here. I'm fed up, I feel disgusting, I'm single and ready to mingle ONCE I'm body positive again.

cherrypiepie · 03/06/2020 10:12

well done @Brokenchair1 let's raise a shake to to new beginnings. I am size 18 and 4 stove over weight. so getting on the exercsie bike is no easy feat for me either but i feel so much better for it.

Last few days have been OK. @Anon20201 i do need to quit the booze!! - well a bit as would bring me in under cals target rather than hovering around on the cals target. so having 4 alcohol free days a week now.

Loving nutracheck - worth subscribing if you can.

The BBQ was good - including 1/4 of a pavlova Grin all a counted for

Having a light day today:
B- nothing
L- Shake
D- poached egg mushrooms tomatoes on toast maybe a linda macartney sauasge.
Snack: Salad, /fruit, /popcorn bar /chipsticks

LlamaofDrama · 03/06/2020 10:34

@Brokenchair1 it's so hard not to fall back on comfort when you've got emotional stress going on. Chocolate is my go-to as well. Keep going! Once you start to see some changes it will motivate you to carry on and then it's easier. I hope!

Brokenchair1 · 03/06/2020 10:38

Thanks everyone. It's tough juggling everything at the moment so motivational messages help.

Fiddlersgreen · 03/06/2020 11:30

How often is everyone weighing/measuring?
It’s so tempting to get on the scales every day but I don’t think that’s a good idea.

I started slim fast yesterday, would like to lose 3 stone ideally, want to change my rating habits but hoping slim fast will give me a good start. Have ordered an exercise bike too which will arrive next week

Every week on Saturday first thing. I might do Friday as well this week as we are having a 'cheat meal' on Friday.

I have jumped on a couple of time this week tho- i find i motivating!

I also measure and take photos.

Fiddlersgreen · 03/06/2020 15:39

Thanks once a week sounds good.
Just realised I wrote rating habits instead of eating habits Hmm
I don’t think I’m brave enough to take photos!

Anon20201 · 03/06/2020 16:37

Hi everyone, I fell off the wagon yesterday! I spent whole day bingeing as I was pissed if with my inconsiderate neighbours. I’m feeling better today so back on.

@Brokenchair1

Cherry pie - well done for excercising after 6 years! I’m actually gonna but fun this weekend - any recommendations anyone? I need to drink!

@brokenchair - I also comfort eat as you can tell from my post! Hope we can motivate each other out of this

Sorry everyone got to dash and haven’t read all posts. Will check back tomorrow

@today118 how are you? I’m going to be brave and weigh myself Friday!

Anon20201 · 03/06/2020 16:38

Wow! Didn’t proof read! Cherry pie I meant I’m gonna buy some gin this weekend! Any recommendations?

Sorry for any other typos!

cherrypiepie · 03/06/2020 16:59

@Anon20201 all gin is good! Insulation get what ever is in offer- wha have fancy stuff that was given as presents we save for treats. Currently have Aldi Topaz gin like fake Bombay sapphire. Gordon's is good.

@Fiddlersgreen dh take them and purposeful takes the most unflattering ones possible to make me look like a convict- i crop my head of so I look like a decapitated day person - it does depersonalise it!

I'm on my bike- getting hot! Done 6k Grin

You are all really helping me Thanks

Brokenchair1 · 03/06/2020 19:33

So today ended up with a bar for breakfast, shake for lunch, slim and save carbonara pasta with salad and another bar as an evening snack.

I have had a very busy day work wise which has stopped me snacking but..I did have some cheese and crackers at 3 as was feeling a bit weak. Also not had enough water today due to work but I feel I've had a good day generally :)

LlamaofDrama · 04/06/2020 09:29

@Fiddlersgreen I weigh daily. I think it really depends what works for you. There's research that suggests that people who weigh daily maintain better than those who don't, presumably because they can respond to a small change and are just more aware.

I like to weigh daily because I'm a data geek. I know how my body fluctuates so an extra lb on one day doesn't freak me out (if it's still there the next day it does Grin).

But I've been trying so hard since Sunday and there's no change and I'm getting impatient (stamps foot and throws toddler tantrum). I want it NOW.

Maybe tomorrow there'll be a little sneaky loss just to keep me motivated.

LlamaofDrama · 05/06/2020 09:09

Checking in with you all, how's it going? I find Fridays really hard, it's that sense of woohoo, it's the weekend.

hoping intending that today I will do better.

cherrypiepie · 05/06/2020 09:54

Day 13 and -4lb gone so far. Homemade pizza for tea ( we have a pizza oven) so weighed in early this week.

If I carry on like this I will lose 24lb in 12 weeks which was my aim. Lockdown is helping.

I'm what 'plan' are you all doing?

I am doing slim fast and calorie counting -1200 a day. I didn't have a shake yesterday and was constantly snacking so they do help with feeling full.

So much love for nutracheck right now but understand Counting is not for everyone.

Have good days everyone.

Plan for today
B- apricots x2
L -Shake
D- pizza
Snack - nectarine/chip sticks/ fibre one bar/ apple/ mini fromage frais.

fatbegone · 05/06/2020 10:56
