Apologies for the terrible title but I wanted to encapsulate the boss and how supportive everyone is.

Could you measure the route on a website @SunshineCake - there used to be some where you could draw your route and it would tell you how long it was? Well done on the running and the smaller clothes, by the way!!

Still plodding along here, the house is a tip as we are having a toy clear out, plus I never have any child free time to catch up with things. PIL used to look after the DC one afternoon a week but I don't think they can do it any more, two lively 4 year olds is too much for them. I'm trying to think of something I can take each of them to separately and PIL could just have one at a time, preferably something active; swimming would be a great one but of course we have no idea when the pools will re-open! I lost 1lb this week, not spectacular but ok considering it was AF week as well.

Well done on your 2lb loss @MrsJonesAndMe Star and @fallfallfall, your meals sound delicious! I've got more into cooking recently but it's just lack of time that discourages me, I can't concentrate on cooking whilst trying to stop the DC squabbling...

@Foreverlexicon if you have some free time, you're welcome to come and do some decorating for me Grin and lovely news about keeping busy with the horse stuff, I hope your gf enjoys the hiking too if that goes ahead.

Still no exact news about school plans for next year other than all pupils should be back full time. No idea what hours it will be though - presumably they'll still have to stagger start/ finish times? - or if they'll run before or after school clubs. I'm desperate to start some sort of paid work, but of course it's not the school's fault either that they don't know what's going to happen! At least walking there and back twice a day is keeping me over 10K steps per day Smile

Where I run is a normal street with houses onto a road with houses and fields and then back and down a slip road and then home so I'm not sure how I'd do it as I don't think it will be as simple as two postcode points. I'm still upset about h implying I can't be running 5/6 k but then when I was following the couch to 5K app it said when the five was done so..

The top that is too big was from years ago so I can't claim a grey recent weight loss but my most recent jeans and tops are 12s so that is good. Daren't weigh today though I think I did well yesterday. Houmous and crackers for lunch, potato and borlotti curry for tea which I then ruined by having two small naans but I didn't have crisps and my snack was kale, tomato and something else maize snack and three squares of chocolate, so not too bad and on running day.

I like the idea of making him run it as punishment Wink

I'm tired and tired of being tired. Work and school (DH in the office a lot now, so mostly falls to me, but DS's attitude is much improved lately). I'm being very picky with what we do now - no silly art projects just for the sake of it.

Food wise today:
B: brownie and hot choc - will need the sugar to get me going while we get fresh air in the rain
L: jacket
S: berries + yogurt
D: lasagne & garlic bread - bit of a bad choice seeing as I'm trying to avoid gluten, but I'm going to make my side with courgette instead of lasagne sheets and just have a slice or 2 of the bread.

Ruby , I feel your pain and if you have a clear out, what do you do with the stuff? Our council said they are taking textiles again, so had a bag of old clothes/shoes and bedding, but it was raining, so didn't want to put it out the night before... then they turned up at 7AM when I was still in my PJs, so it's still there - will have to wait till next time now.

Have a good day all! Waves to @fallfallfall and @Foreverlexicon

Foreverlexicon · 09/07/2020 07:48

Good day here yesterday.

B - rice cakes with banana and peanut butter
L - chocolate biscuit
D - beef stir fry
S - chocolate, grapes
E - 40 min Jillian Michaels dvd, rode the horse

Just a quick post as need to get packed up and on my way. Good day yesterday apart from missing lunch. Had a bit of a row with a friend and it really upset me. All sorted now though.

I probably won’t post for a few days as camping until Sunday now. Have planned my food/drinks so should stay more or less on track and will be doing loads of hiking.

Have a good few days everyone

SunshineCake · 09/07/2020 11:01

Dh hasn't run for a few weeks and I don't think has ever run 5K. I will run tomorrow and I need to find an app that talks to me and tells me when I have run my target as I have a mix of ways of tracking and none is fool proof.

I've been really tired the last three afternoons and it seems quite common to be feeling more exhausted at week 15 of illness and recovery.

I am making cream of mushroom soup for lunch and I have having the left over potato and borlotti bean curry without rice or bread for dinner as no one else was that keen and I liked it.

Tomorrow is our anniversary so we'll be having M&S food.

*@MrsJonesAndMe - I take a tablet called Digestizyme before I eat a meal with anything I am intolerant to and I think it helps but I don't know for certain.

Enjoy your break *@Foreverlexicon and your beef stir fry sounds lovely. I think I will do a chicken and veg one at the weekend now you've inspired me. Hope all is okay with your friend. Take care.

Hello to everyone else and have a good day.

MrsJonesAndMe · 09/07/2020 14:47

Have a good break @Foreverlexicon

Would be a good lesson for him then @SunshineCake

Hope that you enjoyed your soup.

SunshineCake · 09/07/2020 21:56

My soup was lovely!

I'll be running tomorrow and will try and run further.

I am feeling really wiped out. On another thread it is common for fifteen weeks in to be tired again. My chest hurts a bit and my throat is a bit scratchy too.

OP posts:
MrsJonesAndMe · 10/07/2020 08:33

That really sucks @SunshineCake. I hope you get through your run, but if you're not up to it, maybe leave it.

I've jumped on the scales and it's still going down. Back to 24lbs off now, so hoping to push a bit more towards the 2stone marker this week ahead.

Nothing exciting planned here. Washing, a trip to the dentist, a trip to the park, a few bits to get from the shop and home made sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice.

On a different note, I got a lovely "thank you" present from DS yesterday Grin We ordered his teachers some chocs because they're both leaving and he got DH to order me one too! Keeping them firmly wrapped for now. Just lovely to look at Wink

RubySlippers77 · 10/07/2020 10:26

Hope your run goes well if you're feeling up to doing it @SunshineCake. I've been feeling a bit run down this week too - keep thinking that my dreaded ear infection is returning, my ear is making ominous noises! - and all the rain has just been incredibly depressing. I'm still doing the Covid app reporting and they do contact random people to offer a test, I'm hoping I'll get one.

Well done on the 2lb off @MrsJonesAndMe! Poor DS1 needs a dentist trip as he has (what looks like) a blister on his gum, I'm waiting for an appointment - the pharmacist couldn't help. What a lovely thank you present from your DS Smile we're doing cards for the teachers and have contributed to vouchers for them. I'm a bit sad today as the DC only have a few days left at nursery and then it's off to Reception in September; I think partly I'm sad because everything is so up in the air at the moment (still don't know about school hours, before/ after school clubs, other activities etc) and coronavirus has really impacted my plans for working or doing a course from September, and partly because it feels like the 'baby years' are nearly over and I haven't enjoyed them enough Sad

I'm trying to plod along with the healthy eating and remind myself that I'd like to be in jeans again come September, rather than my ratty old trousers which are the only things which fit me properly at the moment! Really pleased that the swimming pools and sports centres will be open soon as the DC have missed those, and I want to bring them up as very active kids. I want to set a good example myself and more to the point, I dread them ending up as overweight as DP, who tells me all the time that he wants/ needs to lose weight but then eats enormous portions and snacks...

SunshineCake · 10/07/2020 13:42

Hello @MrsJonesAndMe and @RubySlippers77. I did run. I got completely different measurements so I am going to stick with Map my run and also dh is going to draw me a map to work out the route to get to 5K and if that doesn't work I will look into getting a Fitbit. I don't want to be thinking I am running a distance I aren't. The shame of the wrong boast.

My hip is sore and I am blaming doing stupid warm up exercises on Wednesday. All I did was move each leg to the side four times but I remembered too late I did that once before and it made me sore then. I am really hoping I won't have to miss Sunday's run as I have run 33 times, going every other day.

My weight is down for two days running so I am very happy and I was really shocked. Given we are having a lovely treat meal and a drink tonight die our anniversary I won't weigh myself tomorrow.

When you are saying you are down, or giving the total lost, are you counting the same pounds lost twice if you have gone down then up then down, or are you never going up ?

My son is fed up as we have signed him up for summer school. He is doing really well at home but he is GCSE year and extra lessons are never a bad thing. I also have one doing her A levels next year and she is happy as she got two predicted grades of A*. I don't know why she hasn't got her other two grades as she is taking four A levels. My eldest is going into his second year at university in September.

Maybe less buying of food and snacks and the portions are measured ? I remember weighing cereal at the recommended portion size and was really shocked how small it was.

He owes it to his dc to be healthy. He is being selfish and also annoying about all the moaning. Saying he needs to lose weight is t worth anything. Actions are what counts. Don't moan you are fat when you are eating huge portions and too many snacks. We are allowed to moan as we are all trying.

Hello, I forgot to weigh on Wednesday, but did today and am back down to my preferred maximum weight. Smile

Just need to keep it up a bit and get below again! I've been meeting my calorie goal most days for the last couple of weeks.

I think I'm in a more positive frame of mind overall since the psychiatrist appointment. I'm kind of nervous about trying the medication, but hopefully it can help me a bit with concentration and feeling more able to get stuff done.

Have a good weekend all!

MrsJonesAndMe · 10/07/2020 16:10

Happy anniversary @sunshinecake - enjoy your meal Flowers

Poor DS @RubySlippers77 We are nearly at the end of braces and it's been a long haul. It was fine!

I'm also pleased things are reopening. There was only 1 positive case in our borough this week, so I feel like we need to start living a bit more normally but I won't be rushing off to the shops etc

We've had a start date for one child, but nothing else so far other than an eye watering amount spent on uniform

Well done for trying to set a good example.

Well done @Galvantula

@SunshineCake it's the same lbs - so I just work back from where I started last year on 30 July or so and work backwards by subtracting current weight. So... I got as low as 30lbs off from my start weight and gained about 9 of those back. But my BMI is in the healthy range now as it is, so I think my focus should really be on health not weight. Trying to build some muscle strength with the yoga and HIIT while not overdoing it as my thyroid issues mean I am constantly exhausted.

Food today - bit weird due to timings
B: macadamia bar + home made hot choc
L: pasta bolognese left overs
S: magnum
D: Hairy bikers sweet and sour chicken and egg fried rice

Will do HIIT and a quick yoga stretch after too.

SunshineCake · 10/07/2020 17:15

On that basis I've lost almost five pounds nett from the day I started running on May 9th. Not much in two months but I've gained in fitness.

SunshineCake · 10/07/2020 17:23

I've probably lost a stone repeating the same pounds! I've one pound lighter than April 2019 😭but seven lighter than August 2019😗

not much in the form of over eating. but certainly not much "exercise", i got in my daily steps. it was a lovely relaxed visit and i liked the girl :).

Galvantula · 10/07/2020 21:32

Sounds lovely @fallfallfall :)

Shout out to @TorysSuckRevokeArticle50, hope you're getting on ok down (from me) in Leicester.

And hi to @TheRealHousewife, hope all is ok with you.

In going to try and keep checking in to see what you're all up to and try to keep myself on track. I've not been rummaging in the snack cupboard tonight. 👍 (An achievement recently 😅)

RubySlippers77 · 10/07/2020 22:39

Glad you had a lovely time @fallfallfall!

@Galvantula I've had to go to bed to lure myself away from the snacks Confused

RubySlippers77 · 10/07/2020 22:43

@MrsJonesAndMe well done on getting to a healthy BMI. I'm still a long way off and feel it's much tougher now I'm over 40 and have zero time without small demanding DC!

Hope you're enjoying your anniversary @SunshineCake!

That healthy BMI is my goal! Did a 30+ minute bike ride and 20 minute fitness walk video. Ready to start back on my routine tomorrow :)

SunshineCake · 11/07/2020 16:13

Hello all

Anniversary was lovely. M&S dinner with a pud from Sainsbury's and a bottle of Bollinger.

Today we went to the beach with DS2 and Dog. Absolutely lovely and tiring day. Dog was filthy but had a lovely shower once home and is now golden again. I walked 7.67 km and ran 3.16km, or 2.13 if I go by a different app. Step count is 16462. I will run tomorrow but try not to weigh until Wednesday so I have run twice more, at least 5km those times, and I really hope I am down again or at least the same. I've not been this low since February 19th.

Glad you had a good time @fallfallfall and that you approve of the GF Wink

That sounds wonderful @SunshineCake I long to see the sea. I miss it awfully.

Thanks @RubySlippers77 and @fallfallfall for the congratulations. Not sure I'm worthy, but it's got to count for something!

Boy, I'm tired today. I'm already showered and in my PJs and there's been a lot of sitting and not doing much. DH cooking risotto.

Food:

B: bar on the way out to the park (coconut, macadamia and cranberry)
S: ice cream
L: GF crackers, salami, cheese, cucumber and pop corn
D: risotto
Not my finest day, but easy!

Take care all. Also thinking of poor @TorysSuckRevokeArticle50

SunshineCake · 11/07/2020 16:44

Well done on the healthy BMI *@MrsJonesAndMe. ⭐️
