Apologies for the terrible title but I wanted to encapsulate the boss and how supportive everyone is.

I think today should be the day to change things.

Share out the jobs, house and child related.

Talk about the consequences of him not being a decent person, father and husband.

Star chart for the kids with age appropriate jobs.

Meal plans and sort out who and how the shopping gets done.

Useless men will get away with stuff until its more painful than to be decent.

Sorry for being bossy. Just horrible to read my friends being treated badly by the men who say they love them.

Sex strike too. That should focus their minds. Sadly it might b3 all that focuses them.

It is raining but I will still run.

Busy day ahead but it will make the day go better. I'm finding it hard with dh being out all day.

Hello, just checking in.

Still a bit stuck in over snacking mode, probably just due to being around the house a bit more at the weekends. 🙈

Trying to get it under control, as I can already feel I'm getting down about it. 🤦

SunshineCake · 18/06/2020 15:00

Doesn't matter *@Galvantula. You ate them and enjoyed them and now it is a new day. If you get the munchies at the similar time each day maybe eat slightly more at the meal before or find a two handed job to do to distract.

OP posts:
fallfallfall · 18/06/2020 21:38

i agree with sunshine, galvantula. identify the time and plan. maybe water 1/2 hour before and cut veggies on hand. OR my fave, phoning a friend and chatting about NOT eating for 1/2 hour till supper is actually ready. my prone to eat crap time is between 3-5 pm.

RubySlippers77 · 19/06/2020 11:27

Is there any better way to start the day than by hearing "Mummy, I need a really big poo?" Hmm

When I had the DC one of my colleagues who had older DC said to me "I can't tell you it gets easier as they get older, but it does get more fun and more rewarding" - I'm hoping you agree @MrsJonesAndMe?! A word that comes up a lot on the Multiples board to describe small twins/ triplets etc is relentless and mine certainly are...

@SunshineCake, I turned over in the night and my knee went crunch, no running for me today as it's so stiff I feel like I'm wearing a leg brace! I've done plenty of walking (8K so far) because otherwise it stiffens up again and I can't move Shock did you manage a run in the pouring rain?

Thank you to everyone for your words of encouragement about DP Smile I didn't get to talk to him as he's started going straight to sleep at the same time as the DC - he's usually snoring by 8pm! TBH it's much easier if our paths don't cross much; sad I know but then at least I don't get moaned at... the DC are very much encouraged to help with tidying, cooking etc (we love a star chart!) but DP just has no idea how exhausting it is looking after both of them. Well he does, as he often has a nap on weekend afternoons if we've taken them out in the morning, but apparently I shouldn't be as tired as him...

Well done on 40 years @fallfallfall!!

Could you go out a bit more at the weekends and take snacks with you @Galvantula, or would that not work in avoiding temptation? I usually pack some bits and take the DC out for a long walk just to get us out of the house for a while...

SunshineCake · 19/06/2020 11:51

Morning all

I've been busy. Walked the dog, made vegetarian shepherds pie and walnut scones, pegged out a wash load and er, that's it Hmm.

I did run in the rain yesterday and it was okay as not too heavy. I have a hoodie for if it gets too cold or wet and I I'll run tomorrow.

Please talk to him Ruby. He is trying it on and I know you don't want to interact with much but that's no life for no and no example for your children. There is no reason he should be more tired than you. He is just being a lazy pig and treating you like a mug. He is supposed to love you, not treat you like the unpaid help.

OP posts:
MrsJonesAndMe · 19/06/2020 15:12

It's a lot easier now in terms of portability and flexibility e.g. can eat later if needed, can stay up, can understand if things can't happen - thank F*ck because they understand lock down and how to behave etc

@RubySlippers77 does he have a very early start to explain the 8PM bed time? I went to sleep that time a few nights a week before my thyroid meds were issued - maybe he needs to go to the GP for a check up (who would then also tell him off for weight???) Can you email him so he can read it and process it? I sometimes do that.

Hope your knee has eased up a bit. I hurt my foot last time I attempted C25K. I'm happier sticking to yoga, pilates or HIIT

DH told me today that he is also struggling trying to do his FT job in PT hours, so piecing it all together of course he left as much to me as possible, but we've come up with a plan to get us through the next few weeks to the summer.

Got a nice weekend planned with Fathers day too.

Well done for your jog in the rain @SunshineCake and good luck for tomorrow's one too. You don't have to constantly be busy though it's hard if that's how you're used to being.

Have a good evening all x

fallfallfall · 19/06/2020 16:43

Not sure I’ll get a medal but just like this weight loss challenge I’m sticking to my guns. And will see my goal weight.
My weight is slowly going down, 1.5 lbs so far, it would be nice to be down three pounds this month. But I’ll be pleased with a solid two.

SunshineCake · 19/06/2020 17:46

Blimey so many typos in that last post. Hopefully you all know what I meant to say Hmm.

I suppose I feel like I have to be always doing stuff as everyone else is either working or studying and being at home is my job. Plus, the job list is never finished so I should be constantly doing stuff.

I am not fully better yet and it is a weird feeling feeling like there is no point wondering when or if I will fully be back to normal as there is no way of knowing.

Emotionally I'm struggling. I was looking for something and came across some cards and letters which are related to a really difficult time. It is weird as they are lovely words that were written but wouldn't have been if the bad thing hadn't happened. Confused.

Chocolate may happen later. Can I have a pass please ? Sad.

OP posts:
SunshineCake · 19/06/2020 17:47

*@fallfallfall our of the five I lost quickly earlier on I have only kept two off but better than nothing.

OP posts:
MrsJonesAndMe · 19/06/2020 20:22

Oh I think you deserve some chocolate @SunshineCake It's always hard to come across something or have a memory of a bad time.

Well done @fallfallfall that is good going.

Foreverlexicon · 20/06/2020 08:04

Morning everyone
I haven’t been posting but I’ve been doing well.
Tuesday I had a bit of a ugh I don’t want to count calories day and def went a bit over but I’ve been at or under my limit every day apart from that.

Ran 6k yesterday. I haven’t been riding as the horse was lame then had physio so needed a few days off but I’ve been doing lots of decorating.

Plan for the day involves a 40 min Jillian Michaels DVD, gardening and decorating.

MrsJonesAndMe · 20/06/2020 17:25

Hi, sounds like a busy time @Foreverlexicon Poor horse! Sounds expensive Wink

Been sticking to 16:8. Scales going down a bit. A lovely walk this morning (but not very far or fast)

Went to get food and saw town back to busy for the first time. Like nothing happening! Shock

SunshineCake · 20/06/2020 19:42

Hi everyone Smile

I got a shock this morning when I saw I had to run for 28 minutes in one go but I did it Grin. The best bit was just after I had finished the run and had started the warm down walk I looked up and saw my dog ❤️. Then I noticed dh on the other end of the lead 😂. I then walked with them for about another 45 minutes, including up a very steep hill and I was so close. My run was 4.88km so I've nearly run 5K ShockGrin.

I have weighed myself once since I said I wasn't going to which is good for me. Two pounds nett loss after a gross loss of five but a huge improvement in fitness.

DH took me to Hobbycraft today as I am not going out apart from to run and walk the dog and as I am getting too apprehensive he said he would take me. It was nice to get some things but so many people are not staying away from others. That will be it now for a while again.

OP posts:
MrsJonesAndMe · 21/06/2020 07:51

Oh wow, @SunshineCake that's amazing!

I went to do the food in town yesterday afternoon and it was like nothing happened (apart from having to queue to get in) - general footfall in the street, families etc Inside the food shop it was as it has been during the whole lock down.

We are going for a wet walk in a field hopefully Grin Hmm and then just a lot of cleaning to get through ready for the week. Cooking biriyani for tea - DH requested it a while ago.

Feeling in a better frame of mind at the moment, so hopefully we can keep it up this week.

Have a good day all, check in tonight x

fallfallfall · 22/06/2020 03:51

well done on the running sunshine :)
father's day over here. all three meals involved a bit "more" than usual.
i'm hoping to get in an evening walk and my usual fitness walk streamed on the tv. i ordered dh's fave indian soooooo i expect the salt will cause the scale to bump up for a few days.
i'm happy your feeling better mrsjones. a positive attitude goes a long way.

SunshineCake · 22/06/2020 13:34

Hi everyone Smile

Still not weight loss but today I ran 28 minutes again. Didn't get quite as far as Saturday as had to stop twice to let a lorry go by and sort out my app but while I started off thinking I can't do this, I did. I then walked my dog for 1.5 hours and have been busy all day. Making stock, weeding, pegging out, cleaning the bathroom. I've got bits to do the rest of the day and to pick up dh later and I am going to try hard tonight not to have evening crisps.

DS has gone to school. He isn't happy as works better at home. I have told him to talk to his teacher about it but even if they listened he will have to go back in September and he only has to go in for the next three Monday's. DD is going in on Wednesday and then Thursday of next week. She then wants to go into town with her friend. DH says she can. I'm unsure.

DH didn't prep the kitchen for painting but I might do that, but probably tomorrow as it takes a lot longer to paint a room than I except.

Hope you are all okay.

Hello to @RubySlippers77 @fallfallfall @TheRealHousewife @Galvantula @MrsJonesAndMe @Foreverlexicon *@TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 and everyone else who has joined us.

Foreverlexicon · 22/06/2020 13:47

All going well here. Rode the horse yest and stayed at a friend’s overnight. As I’m staying there regularly as part of my ‘recovery’ I’ve explained I’m calorie counting and they have been very accommodating which is nice as socialising is usually when I slip up.

Went for a walk this morning and going to ride soon. Planning on weighing in the morning so fingers crossed!

SunshineCake · 22/06/2020 16:28

What lovely friends *@Foreverlexicon and good luck for the weigh in.

DS has had a good day at school but feels poorly. Giving him ice cream helped a bit but I will keep any eye on him as he is still feeling poorly in his chest/lungs .

OP posts:
MrsJonesAndMe · 22/06/2020 18:17

Oh dear @sun

MrsJonesAndMe · 22/06/2020 18:18

Whoops! Blush

Oh dear @SunshineCake I hope he's OK and that you don't have to worry too much. Sounds like a very very busy day, make sure you don't overdo it!

Sounds positive @Foreverlexicon. Fingers crossed for you.

We've had a good day. Hurt after doing 75 squats last night!

SunshineCake · 22/06/2020 19:06

I'm so cross. Ended up in Waitrose to get the kids ice cream stuff and didn't think to buy more salad dressing. Walked my dog for an hour then home to a full bag of salad and some left over roast chicken. I've told dh we aren't having suppler crisps but if we are hungry we will have fruit salad.

DS has had some pasta and sauce and we will check on him in a bit. Luckily he doesn't have to go to school again until Monday but I won't send him if he is poorly.

I never stopped coughing and still get pain in my chest and back at times but I am assuming I aren't infectious and must have had it in March.

Impressed with the 75 squats!

OP posts:
fallfallfall · 22/06/2020 21:10

i had to squat three times searching for something...not a fun feeling...75 impressive

RubySlippers77 · 22/06/2020 23:09

Brilliant running @SunshineCake Grin

Sorry to hear you still have a cough and get the pain too. I was thinking about having the coronavirus test (I still haven't got my senses of taste and smell back properly) but it doesn't seem to tell you much other than if you have it?! The antibody one isn't available yet Sad

Well impressed with your squats @MrsJonesAndMe!!

MrsJonesAndMe · 23/06/2020 06:05

Morning all! 5:30 start and going to be hot, so guessing a long day ahead.

I don't think the general public can get an antibody test yet @RubySlippers77 but I'm sure eventually we will be able to get them too. How is your knee?

LOL @fallfallfall I did some more last night as I did another HIIT workout, but not as many as the 75. I hurt Blush Yes, I'm crossing my fingers and toes that Boris will let us go to a self catering cottage to help give me something to look forward to and keep my spirits up. I really need a break!

@SunshineCake how is DS and how are you? Salad is a good choice in this weather. I'm doing ham and salads tonight for tea and we're going to go have it as a picnic by the river once everyone has finished work/school stuff.

Have a good day all!
