Welcome founding & new members alike. Jump on board the WoW wagon if you want to be slimmer, healthier, happier and more energetic! You've certainly come to the right place! These threads have been going for sometime now and seem well received. The ladies who post are supportive and inspiring in equal measure. There is no shaming, competition or harsh words.

As no one size fits all members generally follow their own way of eating. Nonetheless we will offer guidance and support if required.

Me personally? I keep on it by calorie counting, logging via MFP app, Intermittent fasting, eating a low carb Mediterranean style diet and staying well hydrated. I can’t emphasise enough the importance of drinking plenty of water. There are so many enjoyable options without the need to resort to extreme measures. Whatever way you choose, it needs to be enjoyable & sustainable for the long term. This is a long term commitment rather than a quick fix. I also rarely drink alcohol and keep sugar to a minimum. I exercise by walking & swimming.

Interested? Add your name, personal goals, eating/exercise plan etc.

Wednesdays will be WoW (weigh on Wednesday)

I did lose but are back up. This weekend has gone a bit wrong but it was my birthday this week and my son came home to surprise me. I've still walked and gone on the exercise bike but eating has been a bit hit and miss. Will refocus tomorrow.

BustedDreams · 16/02/2020 18:25

A warm welcome to @Lyndsey9390! Your in safe hands here. No competition, no harsh words. Just support, motivation and inspiration.

@SunshineCake you deserve and need time off for your Birthday weekend. You’ve done brilliantly over the last few months and I’m sure your success will continue.

@MotherOfLittlePeople great news on your NSV 👍🌟

Stayed on track today. Usually it’s OMAD with a roast dinner but also had porridge around 12:00 ish as that’s what OH wanted and it’s a waste to only cook 1 portion. Just eaten the roast dinner and OH is tackling the kitchen. I will finish off and close the kitchen around 19:00.

Hope everyone’s had a great weekend!

Praise lovely but not really deserved given how little I've lost if I count from January 1 to today and I just ate my feelings with birthday cake ice cream Sad

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 16/02/2020 19:29

Evening All,

Hope we have all had a fab weekend. 😊

Over the last few weeks I've started to gravitate away from SW and and am now calorie counting. I've been under my target calorie wise every day this week so far. My appetite is definitely shrinking.

However, I'm away next weekend and this will also involve some drinking, so I'm going for damage limitation this week. I'm not expecting a loss at all, or next week tbh, following my massive unexpected loss on Weds, but it would be nice not to regain any of it.....

Today I've had white chocolate porridge for breakfast (274kcals), two slices of sourdough toast and butter topped with two eggs (434kcals) and a Roast Chicken dinner (470kcals). Despite coming in under calorie target, this is a really carby day for me but my meal plan for the coming week is far less so.

I also only have 7kms left to cycle to complete my race at your pace Feb challenge, which I'm really pleased about.

Now if this horrible weather could do one and I could start getting outside again I'd be happy. 😂

MotherOfLittlePeople · 16/02/2020 19:36

@BustedDreams thank you 😊

annabell22 · 17/02/2020 06:37

Morning all, I'm still here but forgot to post last week. Currently at my lowest weight since May 2019 and hopefully will reach my birthday target (end of March).

@WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa well done on your cycling achievements!

@MotherOfLittlePeople woohoo for your new jeans!

I haven't bought any smaller clothes, but now I can fit in the ones I already had Smile

RubySlippers77 · 17/02/2020 09:26

Morning everyone Smile

Hoping that my cold will finally be gone in the next few days... really hit me hard, I'm still so achey but can finally breathe again. Taken some painkillers this morning, off for a walk with the DC soon to fill the long hours of half term...

Weighed myself this morning, I'm down 1.5lb in two weeks (didn't weigh last week) but this is less due to my healthy eating and more to being so full of snot that I didn't eat as much apart from chocolate. Plus I've had a raging temperature most of the time. Not sure this is sustainable to lose the 40lb I still have left to go?!

@BustedDreams DP brought home some sparkling wine for us on Valentine's Day - think it was my third alcoholic drink of the year but it made me feel so sick! And usually I love it!!

@WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa great news about your cycling! Thankfully we haven't had any flooding round here but torrential rain does make it harder to amuse small energetic DC Hmm

Well done on your jeans @MotherOfLittlePeople!! I have loads of nice clothes waiting for me when I lose a dress size. They have been waiting a while Blush

BustedDreams · 17/02/2020 11:00

Good Morning You Lovely Lot

Day 17, only 12 to go.

Perhaps a good time to reaffirm what you’d like to achieve by the month end. It’s not too late to make a significant change. Personally I want my yoyo weight to stabilise and stay off! Not too big a goal, a firm 2lbs down from my feb start weight will do! Only had 1 day off piste but from memory that can be enough to sabotage my monthly effort. I’m making more effort to move more, sleep more, eat right & moderately, get the water in etc.

Great progress @WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa! I’m sure you’ll hit your feb target! Well done so far.

@annabell22 that’s fab! Fingers crossed for your March Birthday Milestone.

@RubySlippers77 I totally get what you mean. I rarely drink now and don’t miss it. However when we do plan a celebratory drink, the anticipation and the ritual of popping the cork and pouring into Chrystal glasses is far more enjoyable than the actual drinking and after effects.

Wishing everyone a great week!

Hello all

Sending you a hug as DS goes back to uni @SunshineCake

I've been largely absent, but yesterday was a better day and today should be too.

Wishing you all a good week!

MotherOfLittlePeople · 17/02/2020 14:09

3lb loss for me this week but saying it's over 2 weeks. So in total so far for February that's 5lb lost.

Foreverlexicon · 17/02/2020 22:11

I’ve been a bit awol as super stressful end to my working week then had a mega busy couple of days moving the horse and I’ve also got a virus with a fever.

So no exercise apart from moving the horse (to be fair that involved hours of serious work yesterday and over 20knsteps today), I’ll need to wait until I’m better before I step it up.

Food hasn’t been great but better today;
B - fruit and fibre cereal
S - Cappucino
L - roast beef and onion sandwich
D - beef and potato hash with veg
S - ice cream
Total: 1675 approx

I don’t think I’ll weigh until the end of the month as it will mess with my head if I weigh and haven’t lost! Hoping I’ll get a good nights sleep (was up half the night with fever and aching legs!) and feel better in the morning.

Creativebee · 17/02/2020 22:53

Hi all, I’ve not been on for over a week due to the mother of all periods (never been in so much pain, sorry if TMI). Finally weighed myself today and I’m up by 0.3kg so from 82.5kg to 82.8kg. I’m gutted but I totally went off IF and calorie counting, I also had a lot of carbs, takeaways as I wasn’t able to cook and poor DH was working weird shifts so was unable to cook so takeaways for most of the week ☹️. I’m back on the IF since yesterday and really hoping to lose 0.8kg by next Monday 🤞

MrsJonesAndMe · 18/02/2020 07:40

Feel better soon @Foreverlexicon

It will come off @Creativebee we've had 2 nights of ready meals as I was poorly too. Sometimes it can't be helped.

Well done @MotherOfLittlePeople

Stuck to 8hr eating window yesterday, took my vitamins, did my yoga, back to dry body brushing etc. Aiming to do the same today.

Foreverlexicon · 19/02/2020 04:48

I think I had a decent day calorie wise yesterday although not entirely sure as no idea how many calories were in dinner.

B - ice cream (SUCH a bad throat)
L - cheese ploughman’s sandwich
S - popcorn
D - sausage and bean pasta bake
S - baileys hot choc and small slice of banana bread
E - rode the horse and lots of steps
Will get back to formal exercise when I’m well.

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 19/02/2020 07:09

Bit of a rubbish week had takeaway and yesterday ended up at pizza hut with DD.

1lb gain this week so need to get back on the low carbing

BustedDreams · 19/02/2020 08:23

Morning you lovely lot

@Foreverlexicon @MrsJonesAndMe hope you both feel better soon! And anyone else whose unwell.

@TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 it always amazes me ... eat one off plan pizza, gain a lb. Eat on plan a zillion meals and lose zippo. I agree, it’s Unfair!

@MotherOfLittlePeople doing great! 👍👏🌟

I’ve been researching gluten free bread recipes to bake in a bread maker. Ultimately I followed the instructions on the back of a gf flour packet. The resulting —brick— loaf could be used to cause harm! Horrid! Binned. I think it’s the universes way to tell me gf bread is still carb heavy and you’re better off without it. I will take note.

On a lighter note, signs of Spring are every where. Most lovely bird song this morning, just delightful. Hellebores, Daffs & snowdrops bursting through too. Spring is my favourite month!

Wishing everyone a good day!

Crumbs I forgot it’s WoW day. I’ve drank white tea and water already so not a true ‘first thing’ weigh in.

Last Week 142.3lbs (from memory)
This Week 143.5lbs.
Gained. Humbug.

OP posts:
BustedDreams · 19/02/2020 08:33

Today is just getting better! Just scrolled back.

WoW
Last week 141.4
This week 143.5
Gain 2.1. Phhttt

10 day action plan as I’m determined to not end the month up. Onwards and downwards. It’s a blessing the bread was a brick, I’m knocking carbs back a bit.

Sorry for all the posts.

@busteddreams I agree totally unfair that a couple of bad meals I do 19 good ones in a week but there we go.

Treated myself to a twist stepper from Aldi so going to make sure I get at least 10000 steps a day in. Bonus is that i have vitality health through work so if I hit my steps I get a free Starbucks every week 😁

BustedDreams · 19/02/2020 10:46

That’s a great incentive @TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 .... how much are the steppers? Might have a look.

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 19/02/2020 11:37

£24.99 so much cheaper than Argos. All set up in the living room, tucked into a corner ready to use while watching tv this evening.

BustedDreams · 19/02/2020 11:49

Thank you @TorysSuckRevokeArticle50... I’ll have a look.

Hi all

I have been thinking of you all even though I haven't posted for a day or so. On Monday I was struggling very badly mentally/emotionally/hormonally.

I was down today having been up since last week. I did a couple of extra weigh ins. So I'm claiming two pounds off as went up to 12 stone five and today I was 12 stone 3.

Is anyone else going up and down and/or are you missing it as you are being strict and only weighing once a week ?

Also, I am a week late so how do I factor that in with weight?

Think I'm going to give this a try gimmedelicious.com/90-second-keto-bread/

The ingredients are all nice so in theory it should taste good???

Just need to get some almond flour
