Welcome founding & new members alike. Jump on board the WoW wagon if you want to be slimmer, healthier, happier and more energetic! You've certainly come to the right place! These threads have been going for sometime now and seem well received. The ladies who post are supportive and inspiring in equal measure. There is no shaming, competition or harsh words.

As no one size fits all members generally follow their own way of eating. Nonetheless we will offer guidance and support if required.

Me personally? I keep on it by calorie counting, logging via MFP app, Intermittent fasting, eating a low carb Mediterranean style diet and staying well hydrated. I can’t emphasise enough the importance of drinking plenty of water. There are so many enjoyable options without the need to resort to extreme measures. Whatever way you choose, it needs to be enjoyable & sustainable for the long term. This is a long term commitment rather than a quick fix. I also rarely drink alcohol and keep sugar to a minimum. I exercise by walking & swimming.

Interested? Add your name, personal goals, eating/exercise plan etc.

Wednesdays will be WoW (weigh on Wednesday)

Evening WoWers.

I've lost another 2lbs this week. Takes me to 9lb for the month so far. However as I've said I'm away this weekend and whilst it will be damage limitation on the other days I know how much alcohol causes a gain for me. I'll take that on the chin though, I'm not going to avoid life until I get to target!

Have a great week.

BustedDreams · 19/02/2020 19:44

@WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa fantastic progress 👍🌟👏

@SunshineCake wrapping arms around you in a big enveloping hug! I’m yoyoing too, I totally empathise and realise it sucks.

@TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 I find Amazon the best for Fine Ground Almond Flour. Best value.

I closed my belly @1005 cals and closed the kitchen at 19:00. Lunch was red pepper & goat cheese omelette. Evening meal pan fried salmon with sautéed mix veg. 4 pecans and 1 pear. Water, white tea.

According to MFP if I eat the same cals each day I’ll weigh 9st 12.4lbs in five weeks. Yes of course I will Hmm Grin

Anyone notice what the comment was that got deleted? I miss all the excitement Grin

I read a saying @Insta and thought I’d share:-

Your day will always be a combination of good, bad & mundane moments. It is what you choose to remember that counts.

@busteddreams comment was nothing exciting just spam to a 'pay us money for this fad diet plan' website

BustedDreams · 19/02/2020 20:37

That poster has spammed before. Glad it was deleted.

I'm going to remember that quote. It would help me.

I've been making a lot of soup. So far this week I've made carrot and coriander and today I made mushroom, celery and garlic. Dinner was quick, what can I make with these before meow go off as there's not enough of what dh wants for me too. I made peppers stuffed with tomatoes stolen from the guinea pig and tinned anchovies. Delicious.

MotherOfLittlePeople · 19/02/2020 22:09

Stuck to plan all day (all week so far really but better choices today) done 2 and a half hours of exercise on the Nintendo switch. Absolutely knackered and my muscles are very sore.
I hope this shows when I step on the scales on Monday.

Hoping for a total loss this month of 8lbs again but think that may be pushing it.

Hope every one has had a good day today x

Foreverlexicon · 20/02/2020 05:55

Love that quote @BustedDreams

I’m still taking it relaxed with food. Yesterday was quite snacky but happy enough with the calorie intake.

B - slice of banana bread
S - cereal bar and Cappucino
S - pistachios and satsuma
S - slice of cheese, olives, few bits of chorizo and a peach
D - cheesy meatball, pasta, salad and a slice of garlic bread
S - 2 chocolate biscuits
Approx 1800 calories

Rode the horse and fair bit of walking
running errands. No formal exercise as I’m still pretty poorly.

Galvantula · 20/02/2020 11:33

I forgot WoW report. I'm back down to 58.2kg. lost the upward blip weight, yet again. Must have lost the same few kg about 10 times the last few years. 😂 Better than never losing them I guess

I'm very up and down @SunshineCake, I weigh most days cos I love a graph.

Soup for lunch today, mostly because my throat is wrecked from coughing. 🙄

SunshineCake · 20/02/2020 16:00

I've been coughing quite a lot too, @Galvantula.. DS2 assures me I don't have Coronavirus.

Foreverlexicon · 20/02/2020 20:13

Decent food day although I went home from work after 3 hours as I felt awful. Seems this virus has taken a turn for the worse again!

B - protein shake
S - cereal bar
L - mushroom soup and 2 ryvitta with butter
S - grapes and peach
D - cheesy meatballs with pasta, salad and slice garlic bread
S - 2 chocolate biscuits
Total; 1900 cals
I’m trying to keep it around 1700 so that was a bit high really but hey ho, we will see what happens when I weigh next Thursday.

Foreverlexicon · 20/02/2020 20:15

I did want to comfort eat everything earlier since I’m bored of being ill and bored of sitting around at home now so I’m pleased I didn’t!

fallfallfall · 21/02/2020 20:55

Ohhhhh how I need to get back home and into my routine. Loads of excess calories and sedentary days. But some good family times as well.

SunshineCake · 21/02/2020 21:09

That's important fallfallfall.

I'll probably be MIA over the next few days as dh is in hospital. He took himself there and then was blue lighted to another.

MrsJonesAndMe · 21/02/2020 21:28

OMG @sunshinecake Hope you're OK

MotherOfLittlePeople · 21/02/2020 21:34

Hope your husband and you are ok @SunshineCake

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 21/02/2020 21:47

Hope your DH is Ok @SunshineCake so sorry to hear he's unwell.

Just looking back on my Fitbit record and just reducing sugar and increasing veg has dropped my resting heart rate from 75 bpm to 65 bpm. Strangely proud of that and good to see a tangible improvement given the scales hate me this week!

SunshineCake · 21/02/2020 22:35

Thank you. I'm too scared to sleep.

I was on the phone to DD when the ambulance carrying DH went past with its sirens on and I just burst into tears. Haven't heard from him since 9pm but hopefully he'll be asleep. I plan to walk the dog as early as I can as I don't want to see anyone I would normally chat to and then wait for him to message. Visiting hours are very strict and limited so I need to work out what to do as ds will be home alone as we need him to look after the animals. If I didn't have a dog my PIL would have had DS at their house as DD is at her friends tonight.

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 21/02/2020 22:46

Could you put the dog in a boarding kennels for a couple of days or hire a dog sitter so you can just focus on DC and DH for a few days?

SunshineCake · 21/02/2020 23:11

She wouldn't be happy. DS will look after her and I will come home in the day but it makes things tricky. There is one friend I would have asked if DS wasn't here but I don't think she is available.

MrsJonesAndMe · 22/02/2020 06:36

Hope you got some sleep @SunshineCake and that things look better today x

Foreverlexicon · 22/02/2020 07:19

I hope you and your husband are doing oksy @SunshineCake that sounds very worrying Flowers

I had a decent day yesterday apart from waking up at 2.30am for an hour. I was starving and had a hot chocolate and biscuits to send me back to sleep.

So food yesterday
S - hot chocolate and 2 chocolate biscuits
B - cereal bar and 2 satsumas
L - cheese and onion quiche, slice garlic bread and salad
D - bbq pork chop with roast potatoes and roast veg
S - mini snickers bar

Still no exercise as still poorly.
I decided to check in with the scales and I’ve lost 1.4lb in the last 2 weeks. Considering I’ve done no exercise and taken the pressure right off, I’m pretty pleased. That’s a total of 8.8lb in the past 5 weeks.

I’ll step it up if I’m ever healthy again.

Galvantula · 22/02/2020 09:12

best wishes to you and your husband @SunshineCake, sounds v scary. Hope things are improving soon.

fallfallfall · 22/02/2020 09:45

Positive thoughts SunshineCake.

SunshineCake · 22/02/2020 09:51

Thanks everyone. Just about to go and see him. Feel so sick and wobbly but can't think about eating. I'm about to put some sour dough bread in the bread maker so I can have that when I come home and I have to leave for two hours so will go to a local shopping centre and see if I can get some food there.

On the way home from walking the dog I stopped at the garage to get a couple of newspapers and had to go back to the car to see if I had more money. I told him I'd just take one as was 20p short and he said don't worry about it. I said thank you so much as I'm on my way to see my husband in hospital and they are for him and he said he felt so much better or good about it now he knew that. Such kindness. I would have cried if I wasn't so tired. Next time I'm in I'll offer it back to them.

Bye for now.
