Welcome founding & new members alike. Jump on board the WoW wagon if you want to be slimmer, healthier, happier and more energetic! You've certainly come to the right place! These threads have been going for sometime now and seem well received. The ladies who post are supportive and inspiring in equal measure. There is no shaming, competition or harsh words.

As no one size fits all members generally follow their own way of eating. Nonetheless we will offer guidance and support if required.

Me personally? I keep on it by calorie counting, logging via MFP app, Intermittent fasting, eating a low carb Mediterranean style diet and staying well hydrated. I can’t emphasise enough the importance of drinking plenty of water. There are so many enjoyable options without the need to resort to extreme measures. Whatever way you choose, it needs to be enjoyable & sustainable for the long term. This is a long term commitment rather than a quick fix. I also rarely drink alcohol and keep sugar to a minimum. I exercise by walking & swimming.

Interested? Add your name, personal goals, eating/exercise plan etc.

Wednesdays will be WoW (weigh on Wednesday)

For gods sake.

I had a good day yesterday until the evening when saw my gf and lost all semblance of self control and went to Taco Bell and had loads of chocolate 🙄 back on it today...

MrsJonesAndMe · 12/03/2020 12:32

Hi all

Lots of us struggling at the moment (myself included) Somehow I'm still more or less maintaining but I'm stuffing my face with anything and everything Hmm

Well done @WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa that's great stuff.

Thinking of you @Foreverlexicon and @SunshineCake and DH

SunshineCake · 12/03/2020 20:18

I was slightly down this morning but can't for the life of me remember what it said.

I'm not feeling well, definitely allergic to my guinea pig, sons uni is suspending all lectures, have two more kids at two different schools, really missing cuddles with dh, just feel really yuk. Haven't slept through the night for over three weeks, have cold and cough still but no temperature thankfully.

SunshineCake · 13/03/2020 18:50

Hello everyone

How are you all ?

While I am fed up that I am so tired, in pain and have a cold and cough I am well chuffed I am the lowest weight I have been for four years. I've made it down to exactly 12 stone.

MrsJonesAndMe · 14/03/2020 20:42

Hi @SunshineCake we're OK at the moment. Eating everything in sight!

SunshineCake · 14/03/2020 22:11

I read that as eating everyone in sight!!

MrsJonesAndMe · 15/03/2020 08:41

It could come to that Grin

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 15/03/2020 09:41

Weighing every morning and staying the same every day. So positive is not getting heavier but also not getting lighter so not fantastic.

Hopeful that between today and Wednesday morning some of it will evaporate. Maybe I should wrap myself in cling film and sit in a hot room to sweat it out ??

SunshineCake · 15/03/2020 17:42

Friday and Saturday I was my lowest for years but this morning I was up 0.8lb but I'm okay with that. I'm eating tonnes more fruit and veg and right now there is more important things to worry about.

SunshineCake · 15/03/2020 17:43

Should say I still have 1.5-2 stone I'd like to lose so it's not as impressive as it may seem.

SunshineCake · 16/03/2020 16:44

Hello everyone

How are you all ?

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 16/03/2020 18:40

Hi @SunshineCake busy busy trying to get work and home as ready as possible for a lockdown/isolate scenario.

Unfortunately my job will only get busier and more chaotic if the shit hits the fan as I work in compliance and risk and this whole thing is billions of risks and compliance issues Smile

Did day 1 of c25k last night, holy hell I am NOT fit, not even a little bit. Felt like a gasping dying grounded fish half way through but slogged on. Can only go up from here!

Not convinced the scales will be my friend on Wednesday but I do think my face looks a little thinner so took photos yesterday and will repeat weekly.

How are you and DH doing?

SunshineCake · 16/03/2020 19:06

Dh has lost half a stone and it shows. He says he's feeling 95% there. He came with me to walk the dog then sat on a bench once he needed a rest. He hasn't done much else since.

I'm getting worried about the virus. I really feel there will be suicides as people feel they have no choice with work, money etc all going. I've got a cold and a cough along with a sore throat and stressing about whether to keep two appointments I have this week.

It is my son's birthday this week and he is coming home tomorrow which is the best bit of news.

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 16/03/2020 21:36

I do not know if this applies to anyone here but the govt have listed who is high risk for the new criteria to self isolate and one of the criteria is BMI of 40 or over.

MrsJonesAndMe · 17/03/2020 19:53

Hi all

I'm glad to hear DH better @SunshineCake although you'd obviously like to wrap him in cotton wool. I'm also pleased to hear that DS is coming home - guessing that his Uni is shutting down?

We are keeping calm and carrying on and trying to just keep going, but I'm very anxious and my mood is very low and very worried about finances.

Hope you manage to keep the stress level under control @TorysSuckRevokeArticle50

SunshineCake · 18/03/2020 08:21

@MrsJonesAndMe yes, DS's university has cancelled everything. DS2 has gone to school, DD is only going in to get her school stuff, I am going to a MH appointment as probably the last one I can have for a while and then I think we are self isolating.

Bit worried about DH driving Dd but there is no way around it in terms of minimising risk and disruption at school.

Weight wise for a brief teasing moment I was 11 something but then settled on exactly 12 stone which is down 0.8 lb since Monday but the same as last Wednesday.

Sending health vibes to all.

After this morning's errands I'll be in for two weeks.

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 18/03/2020 09:53

1/2 a lb down which is better than nothing but still meh!

DD is 5, took her in this morning and only 10 out of 27 kids were in school in her class today.

Feeling somewhat inevitable that we'll get a school closed message soon.

RubySlippers77 · 18/03/2020 11:05

@TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 my DTs are similar age, the school have sent out official 'school is still open' messages but realistically more DC are being withdrawn/ going into isolation/ off sick so I think we will close soon too (send Gin!) - we've had quite a few cases round here already.

(Thank you for the government advice link by the way - no doubt we will have to try to persuade MIL to self isolate as she meets several of the criteria - but she will say "oh well a trip to Sainsburys can't hurt" and will go out anyway...!)

Hope you and your family are all safe and well at home soon @SunshineCake. You're right, this is a very worrying time, and even booking shopping deliveries etc is stressful if not impossible

Haven't weighed myself in ages with all this going on. Don't think it will be good news as we're pretty much eating anything perishable first (bread mostly) but has to be done in these uncertain times Sad

SunshineCake · 18/03/2020 12:35

Thank you @RubySlippers77. I'm home now. I am glad I went to my counselling appointment and at 3 dh is going to get ds2 from school rather than letting him get the bus then we are isolating. I don't know if I am being hick but it feels like the guidance has changed while I have been out and now a cough is enough to stay in.

MrsJonesAndMe · 18/03/2020 18:28

Hey, glad you've got everyone in now @SunshineCake

Gin all round and I don't even drink Tomorrow will be the last day of normality with kids and DH out. Then God only knows how we get through the next month!

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 18/03/2020 18:38

Month?

They said until further notice for a England didn't they or did I miss an end date?

Honestly I don't think they'll be back in this school year. They've told vulnerable people to isolate for 12 weeks which takes you to 2nd week of June, then they'd only be back a few weeks before summer holidays kick in.

MrsJonesAndMe · 18/03/2020 19:08

No, but I can't think of that! 2 weeks to Easter holiday, then 2 weeks of "holiday"

SunshineCake · 19/03/2020 18:41

Hello

How is everyone?

Day one of us all being in. Not too bad so far.

I think the kids will be home until September tbh.

MrsJonesAndMe · 19/03/2020 21:02

I don't think it will really sink in till Monday sunshine but little DS struggled to go to sleep tonight so thinking there's a lot of worry and uncertainty at the moment for everyone.

We will be practising social distancing rather than isolating. Are you going out with your dog still? Here if you want to PM me x
