Welcome founding & new members alike. Jump on board the WoW wagon if you want to be slimmer, healthier, happier and more energetic! You've certainly come to the right place! These threads have been going for sometime now and seem well received. The ladies who post are supportive and inspiring in equal measure. There is no shaming, competition or harsh words.

As no one size fits all members generally follow their own way of eating. Nonetheless we will offer guidance and support if required.

Me personally? I keep on it by calorie counting, logging via MFP app, Intermittent fasting, eating a low carb Mediterranean style diet and staying well hydrated. I can’t emphasise enough the importance of drinking plenty of water. There are so many enjoyable options without the need to resort to extreme measures. Whatever way you choose, it needs to be enjoyable & sustainable for the long term. This is a long term commitment rather than a quick fix. I also rarely drink alcohol and keep sugar to a minimum. I exercise by walking & swimming.

Yesterday was a horrible day.
Woke up to a phonecall that gf’s great aunt is dying and she’s going to Cornwall NOW. I’m so sad for her and I was also selfishly pretty upset because I thought we had a few more weeks. I totally ate my feelings and ate everything.

I’ve given myself 24 hours to mope and eat everything in sight and now it’s time for business.

I have quite a few occasions over the next few weeks which involve food and drink but I’m going to work hard and concentrate on weight loss in between and hopefully by the end of the month I’ll be a couple of lb lighter rather than half a stone heavier.

Gosh I am tired, and still eating loads of crap. One more day of antibiotics to go, can't wait to finish this lot. I feel terrible and am permanently hungry!

I’ve had a better couple of days but I think I need to take a break from this thread for a while as I can’t help mentally adding up calories in my head and to be honest, it’s not doing me any good and it’s making me stressed about the eating/drinking occasions coming up this month that I can’t avoid.

I’m sure I’ll be back in a few weeks

Down 1.8 from the 1st. I need more strength as I overindulged in between meal snacks...even tea with milk and sugar adds up if you have 6 cups in a day...
But I can feel the hilly walks, that’s a good thing 😉

I've had such a bad night's sleep and stressful morning...but we've seen a bit of sunshine so trying to stay positive that there'll be more walking to school and playing in the park to come. Really need the winter to come to an end now.

Have to apologise, I decided to shave my legs (lawn mower required) and put some self tan on at the weekend because I saw the sun and got excited about the idea of bare legs. I think I've cursed us to 3 more months of rain and cold! Sorry everyone

@Foreverlexicon sorry you're having such a run of awful at the moment, do what you need to do to take care of you and your partner.

Hope everyone else is OK, I'm trying to avoid weighing till Wednesday, finding the everyday up and down a bit demotivating so just gonna stick to plan and hope for the best.

@MrsJonesAndMe I did debate it,

1] just suck it up and wear full length trousers if a warm day arrives
2] say to hell with it and if the warmth appears just get my werewolf legs out and be hairy and proud
3] throw caution to the wind and risk cursing the world with never ending winter by prepping

And now I have that feeling of smooth legs under fleece PJ bottoms. It feels gooood!

I only need 15 degrees to be happy and comfortable in knee length shorts, if it weren't for the 45 mile an hour winds in the forecast, tomorrow could be the day I crack open my spring wardrobe.

Ah well I rarely wear shorts...have a few knee length dresses. I do get dragged to the swimming pool though so regular grooming here. Oh to be a man!

@TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 I cracked open the fake tan too the other day as my pasty legs were too blindingly white Shock thought I'd done it really well, no streaks etc, then realised I was the Incredible Orange Palmed Woman Hmm

Other than that, I'm just too tired to eat properly at the moment. I know it's a vicious circle - don't eat well, have less energy, eat worse - hopefully I will find some motivation before I'm completely spherical...

@RubySlippers77 only done it a couple of times before but keep hearing that Tanning drops are magic, wonderful things that revolutionise tanning yadda yadda blah blah.

So I got my moisturiser, put a blob on my hand and dropped in the requisite number of drops, took care to apply it evenly and....

....

Nothing, nada, zero, zilch I still have pale, white, almost translucent legs.

I’m back already. I can’t seem to find a happy medium at the moment and just found ‘not dieting’ an excuse to comfort eat everything.

So I’m going the other way and focusing on it instead to just get this done. I’ve downloaded MFP in order to calorie count properly, it’s given me a target of 1600 calories a day so that’s what I’m going for. I’ve written a list of dates coming up where I can eat what I like but beyond that, I’m sticking to it.

Stuck to that yesterday, went for a short run and rode the horse. I will have a catch up now, I hope everyone is doing well.

No loss this week which is really bloody annoying as I know I'm sticking to my calories and low carb.

If I can find my tape measure I'm going to try tracking measurements as well as weight I think.

I'm up 0.6lb but not stressing. Aka stuffing face with chocolate. Lunch will be homemade veg soup and home made sour dough bread.

I wish I could put my finger on why my body is holding on to this unhealthy weight, why I’m struggling to walk away from sugar. I scared myself silly seeing 159 on the scale yesterday morning.
