Welcome founding & new members alike. Jump on board the WoW wagon if you want to be slimmer, healthier, happier and more energetic! You've certainly come to the right place! These threads have been going for sometime now and seem well received. The ladies who post are supportive and inspiring in equal measure. There is no shaming, competition or harsh words.

As no one size fits all members generally follow their own way of eating. Nonetheless we will offer guidance and support if required.

Me personally? I keep on it by calorie counting, logging via MFP app, Intermittent fasting, eating a low carb Mediterranean style diet and staying well hydrated. I can’t emphasise enough the importance of drinking plenty of water. There are so many enjoyable options without the need to resort to extreme measures. Whatever way you choose, it needs to be enjoyable & sustainable for the long term. This is a long term commitment rather than a quick fix. I also rarely drink alcohol and keep sugar to a minimum. I exercise by walking & swimming.

Interested? Add your name, personal goals, eating/exercise plan etc.

Wednesdays will be WoW (weigh on Wednesday)

Hello, Can I be in the Weigh in Wednesday club please. I'm struggling to lose weight after I had my little boy...13 months ago.

I'm probably only about half a stone over weight but I'm short so it looks really bad. I feel like a bowling ball but I'm reliably told that's not true.

Expecting to be around 10 stone 8 at tomorrow's weigh in.

Got the gym tonight - I do to the gym but eating is a big part of socialising for me. As is wine. So all my good work gets undone.

Foreverlexicon · 03/03/2020 09:13

It was bad news. She’s been given weeks-months. I’ve not actually met her as we haven't really been together that long and they live so far away but I’m very worried about my gf as she was really struggling last year when she was ill. I lost my mum a few years ago when I was in my early 20s so I know how crap it is. I can’t even see her for a few days due to my shifts so I’m feeling pretty helpless. It’s going to be a difficult few months.

On a positive note food was good yesterday mainly because I didn’t really get a chance to eat at work.

SunshineCake · 03/03/2020 13:45

Oh @Foreverlexicon I am so sad for you that that is the prognosis. Can you go to be with your GF?

@MrsJonesAndMe @RubySlippers77 DD went to school this morning. I only saw her to wave from the window as she went so early and then came back for her phone. Hopefully she will have more concrete news tonight. So far it seems the child went on holiday, now feels unwell and has gone back to school Shock.

This morning I had a long walk with my dog then I went and did some shopping. I decided to go and buy dog and cat food as I was worried they would starve if we have to stay in.

We've just had homemade scallop and mussel soup with veg in and I have meal planned so we will be fine if we can't go out. DH is looking better each day while I feel worse Grin.

Good day everyone.

fallfallfall · 03/03/2020 19:57

i'd be over and willing to help sunshine extra calorie burn is needed.
i huffed and puffed up around the neighborhood , i feel awful the extra weight is really noticeable today.
positive thoughts forever cancer is a horrible disease.

MrsJonesAndMe · 03/03/2020 20:55

Welcome @ohnomesandwiches

Sending hugs and thoughts to you @SunshineCake and @Foreverlexicon

SunshineCake · 04/03/2020 07:20

Thank you @fallfallfall. Grin. Give me a shove later as I really need to dust in the lounge. That's my goal as I can't face planning much more. More will be done I know but don't want to think about it now. I was up at 5 with the dog and already feel awful.

Hi to everyone and than' you for the kind thoughts @MrsJonesAndMe.

Where is @BustedDreams???? .

Will weigh shortly.

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 04/03/2020 07:24

So sorry about you DPs mum @Foreverlexicon and sending hugs @SunshineCake

Lost 2lb this week so down to 225.

Starting weight 233 so down 8lb since 1st Feb.

MotherOfLittlePeople · 04/03/2020 09:28

Is there a March thread or do we carry on with this one?

Hope everyone is doing well x

RubySlippers77 · 04/03/2020 09:44

What very sad news about your GF's DM @Foreverlexicon. I'm sure she will appreciate your support even if it is long distance.

Hope you have an easy day @SunshineCake. I'm taking the car in for repair, waiting in for a handyman to visit, sorting out a new phone contract... trying to pack all the errands into my child-free time.

Well done on the weight loss @TorysSuckRevokeArticle50!

A March thread would be lovely although in all honesty I don't think I will lose much in March either without rediscovering my motivation Sad I'm so fed up of feeling ill and desperately need to do a big food shop (if there's anything left on the shelves!) to give myself some healthy options she said whilst scoffing pain au chocolat

Foreverlexicon · 04/03/2020 09:50

Unfortunately not, I’m on lates then nights so won’t be able to see her until Saturday but I do intend to go down to Cornwall to visit a few times.

Food was okay yesterday, about 1800 calories. It’s definitely going to be damage limitation this month then a crack down in April when I’ll need a good distraction!

SunshineCake · 04/03/2020 10:17

I'm 0.8lb down so I'm happy with that.

I think fill this thread and then hopefully @BustedDreams will be back to start a new one if she's happy too.

MrsJonesAndMe · 04/03/2020 13:22

Hi all

Plenty of space on here to just keep going. busted was having techy problems - hopefully nothing more than that, but it's noticeable that our biggest cheerleader has gone!

Well done @SunshineCake and @Foreverlexicon and @TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 that's good going. I'm still maintaining so happy with WoW.

Hope that you're not all too wet. Really fed up when the weather last year was warm enough for T-shirts!

Be back to check in with you all soon.

MrsJonesAndMe · 04/03/2020 13:22

Fingers crossed for the car @RubySlippers77

fallfallfall · 04/03/2020 15:50

Down 1.3 and weighed in at 157...
I WAS 149.8 before I left...
Staying focused with soup as my low cal plan. No treats in the house.
I too miss busted I look forward to her update.
ruby car repairs can be a pain in the pocketbook.
Market day over here :).

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 04/03/2020 16:53

Afternoon all. I'm 2lbs down this week - takes away last weeks gain and then 1lb more. Happy with that, slow and steady!

Are we sticking on the Feb thread?

MrsJonesAndMe · 04/03/2020 21:32

Well done @fallfallfall and @WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa

RubySlippers77 · 04/03/2020 23:28

Well done @WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa, @fallfallfall and @SunshineCake Smile

Car was under £100 to repair this time but probably needs another £100 spent on it. And an MOT. Sigh...

@MrsJonesAndMe it seems so long ago that I didn't have to wear a coat to go out, the long hot summer last year is a very distant memory!!

Foreverlexicon · 05/03/2020 05:50

Decent day yesterday- 1600 calories so pleased with that.

Onto nights tonight so planning to get a run in.

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 05/03/2020 07:19

@RubySlippers77 I know, I'm desperate for a day when I can just wear a dress and some sandals rather than tights, boots, cardi, coat, gloves.... I want the sunshine back!

SunshineCake · 05/03/2020 15:57

I'm here Grin ☀️

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 05/03/2020 16:37

LOL @SunshineCake tell you're namesake to get it's ass out from behind the clouds and warm us up Grin

fallfallfall · 05/03/2020 17:09

i was strong and resisted temptation at the market (a baker has a stall in front of ours and a donut maker is set up a few yards away).
we had a great amount of sales and i'm sure it's because the sun was shining.
meanwhile my walk involved no cardio and i STILL find too many excuses to add milk and honey in my tea.
i can do better today!
sunshine if i've not reached 135 by my 70th birthday i'll cheat with a tummy tuck Wink.

RubySlippers77 · 06/03/2020 09:51

We have sunshine here today!!!

The fridge is full of healthy stuff and only a little chocolate and I'm about to plan some healthy meals. Still debating whether to join WW online for extra motivation; realised I've been reacting to my antibiotics as well as feeling generally rubbish still with my ear infection, which hasn't helped. But, by next week it should all be resolved, fingers crossed Smile

Well done at the market @fallfallfall!!

Galvantula · 06/03/2020 09:59

Oops I keep meaning to post and forgetting.

Noting exciting to report, I have gone up about a kg, I'm hoping most of it is totm bloat, I have been comfort eating a bit Blush , been feeling rubbish with a cold and cough bug for what feels like forever and I'm shattered!

Hope DH is recovering well @SunshineCake.

And hoping @BustedDreams / @MissDream gets her tech issues resolved and is ok!

SunshineCake · 06/03/2020 13:19

Hello everyone, hope everyone is well.

Dh is improving thankfully but I'm worried about him going back to work. He's doing a little from home already. I'm feeling so tired and don't know why. I am eating a lot more fruit, veg and salad than I was and have lost more weight but I've got cold, head aches on and off and occasionally a cough.
