Nice to see you again christmas, great to have more onboard. Well done on 8 pounds, don’t mind what was regained, it’s behind you now.
I want to lose around 1.5 stone, maybe a bit more but for now I’m focusing on 7 pounds at a time. As of this morning I’m 11.7, but I weigh in pounds and track the average so I’m 161.2 which is 1.4lb down on last week. I listen to the slimming world podcast (love podcasts!) and while I don’t do SW I enjoy their chat. Secret world of slimming clubs is a lighthearted one about SW, good for a giggle. My recent learning with stress, just keep busy if you can at all, be it put the washing away item by item or downloading a podcast & listening while walking or doing bits in the house. Devil makes cake for idol hands

There’s a slimming world podcast?! Is that an official one?

Spinach leaves, smoked salmon and a hard boiled egg for breakfast. Lots of protein. Thinking of going to a city farm with the DC shortly, it’s a bit risky with DS at the mo but it’s not too far away if we have to rush back. Will take an apple for a snack. I really need to have a good couple of days as a bit too much chocolate crept in on Friday.

Can cooked pasta be frozen in a sauce? I guess it can as we can freeze lasagne?

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/02/2020 10:25

8 lb in 3 weeks is awesome. Back to it. Don't be hard on yourself you have a lot on. I'm an emotional binge eater and it's shit.

I'm almost there in my fat loss journey. Probably another couple of lbs. Then reverse to maintain. I just need to knuckle down and stock to it. See above tree stress eating

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/02/2020 10:26

Fbw done but didn't walk as it's cold and wet. I get enough of that on a weekday without weekend too

Happierwithouthim · 02/02/2020 10:55

Down 0.2lbs I'd a hectic week so that's a good result, batch cooking saved me though I'd plenty in the freezer to choose from. I'm making an effort to record what I'm cooking in mfp so that I can record more accurately.

Sea have the lasagne but smaller portion just with salad & avoid the extra carbs with it. If trying to manage a diet is extra stress like cooking twice it's very hard to maintain

Why didn't I get up and walk while it was dry Sad still going though

Happierwithouthim · 02/02/2020 10:58

Going to put on that podcast to accompany me on my walk today not

Happierwithouthim · 02/02/2020 11:01

I'm exactly 2lbs heaving than not sea was 7lbs lighter in May/June last year, its taking a long time to get back there but I'm not gaining anymore so I've accepted it because I had a good year & socialised more

Happierwithouthim · 02/02/2020 11:22

Not listening from the beginning they're great fun

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 02/02/2020 12:49

Great to have you back sea! Yy agree with the others, put it behind you and well done on losing 8lbs.
Weight this morning 12s1lb so sts, but I lose and put on the same couple of pounds over a two week period, so not really gaining, but not losing either!
For my bmi to just be in the 'healthy' range I should be 9 stone.
I'm just a bit over 5 foot, and would like to be 9 stone, eventually, but just concentrating on losing another stone atm.
I need to up my exercise game!

Wolfcub · 02/02/2020 13:57

Sea yes you can freeze pasta in sauce. I freeze Mac and cheese all the time

8lb loss is amazing Sea as is your 14lb North. I currently weigh more than you Sea, my aim is to be 14 or less by 4th April. I've given up hope of ever being back in the 10s

Not2bObvious · 02/02/2020 14:07

I guess you’re listening to the secret world one happier? They’re gas. I tried Tricia & Dan, I think you mentioned them. I like them but just a bit too much innuendo, got a bit irritating after a bit, it might lessen as I’m only 3 in - they’re still a bit giddy.
Honestly curvy I think you’re very active looking at your steps, are you tracking calories at all? If you could cut your cals even 250 you’ll see losses, much more effective to get the weight loss from the food, the exercise helps keep it off - well in my sketchy opinion.

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 02/02/2020 14:10

I don’t know if it’s official curvy, one of the women is a leader, the other a member. See the pic

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 02/02/2020 14:28

Thanks not, no I'm not tracking calories and I know I should, but got fed up with mfp and got so confused with protein, fat and carbs.
I'm vegan, so I think that makes it more difficult in mfp, well in my experience anyway!
The steps are pretty good, but I work in a nursery so never sitting still for long, but I know I need to do actual exercise, but I just need to find something I like to do at home!

I probably also need to look at my diet, it's ok, but definitely could improve, so a few tweaks here and there.
I've just not been feeling great lately tbh and I need to get into a better mindset, feels like I'm running on empty most of the time.

Ahh sorry was waffling on!

Not2bObvious · 02/02/2020 14:40

I completely get it curvy, mfp is a total faff. I wouldn’t worry about macro split, even spending the next week jotting down on a piece of paper your calories at each meal. Whatever you’re doing at the moment is maintaining where you are by the looks of it. Which is bloody brilliantly btw!
If you’re already running on empty I wouldn’t be adding to your stress by adding extra exercise unless you want to. Sometimes extra exercise makes us extra hungry so can be counterproductive. Maybe look at what you’re eating to see could you shave a smidgeon off or swap for something lower cal/more nutritious. Sorry for waffling on too, I just reckon you’re so close to losing consistently cause you seem like a very consistent person

OP posts:
CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 02/02/2020 14:55

No not it really helps, thank you! This is a safe place and I really appreciate it!
Yy you may be right about the exercise and extra food, but I was thinking it may make me feel better. I think I will write down everything I put in my mouth over the next week and see from there.
You know sometimes the simplest ideas are the best!
Don't know about being consistent, haha, but this thread keeps me accountable, and that helps loads!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 02/02/2020 14:59

Think I'm going to give a listen to those podcasts not. Thanks Smile

Not2bObvious · 02/02/2020 15:20

This is the funny one, highly recommend

Mfp can be a pta. But it's so easy to rack up extra calories without realising.
Baby steps sea, don't overwhelm yourself or you will fall off the wagon.

Carbs and fibre today chips and mushy peas and cake
Steps will be got and pretty much within calories

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 02/02/2020 21:29

My dinner was lovely, hm vegan toad in the hole, mash (no spread or milk) mixed veg and gravy.
not I've been listening to slimming world, food for thought. I wouldn't be able to go to slimming world meetings, I don't have anyone who could watch the kids, but lots of interesting talk, especially the speed foods, which I definitely can add, I wonder if the science actually works? Thanks again.

Not2bObvious · 03/02/2020 05:16

I’ll reckon the only science at play with speed food is a lot of low calorie/high volume fruit and veg that’ll fill you up. Following SW to the letter of their law, even the ethos of free food like pasta/potatoes as long as you actually only eat til comfortably full does seem to work for many. Treats or syns are capped at 20 and at 20 cals a syn, you’re only looking at an extra 200 cals of food that isn’t covered by the free/speed/heb A & B. Lots of people on the plan I used to follow (that life & happier still do I think?)lost the majority of their weight on it, for the last couple of stone though needed to dig into calorie counting a bit.
I did it for a bit but it didn’t gel.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 03/02/2020 06:14

Yes in still on the same plan
I don't understand how sw works, sorry. When I went with a friend I just could not hell with it. I won't say why here as it may insult people.

125.5 today

Not2bObvious · 03/02/2020 07:12

I just like listening to the two women, they’re so nice and they talk about lots of stuff that I can relate to. I just love listening to anything diet related😂 Let’s face it, it’s my hobby! Down to Fridays weight so starting the week a pound down, whether I hang onto it or not we’ll see.
Is that a new low life?

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 03/02/2020 08:17

Sts this morning
Gotta check out that second podcast

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/02/2020 09:03

No it's not a new low. It's a regular thing on the scales

Not2bObvious · 03/02/2020 10:05

Yeah I have one of them - actually 2, a high one and a low one
