Well said not Grin

Had the can of monster with lunch today, I've a lot to do this eve so it'll be well worn off by bedtime!!

I walked dog this morning, only 0.75mile but did us both good Grin

Not2bObvious · 31/01/2020 15:04

Every little helps with the walking, I did 3,000 with a walkie talkie before work and I’m now up to over 11,000 between work/shops/school. I’ll get another few as the day wears on. Brought dd1 for lunch, shared some Chinese but I’d only a very small bit, not because I was being that good but more I was crampy and it wasn’t amazing. Progress of sorts I guess?

Congrats on the house sale happier, I meant to reply yesterday, have you a new home to go to? I want a new house (if I’ve said before ignore) but have an extremely small area himself is willing to consider. Tbf I’ve only one other area as well as where he’d like but traffic is a big issue so it’s a no compromise on that. And suitable houses are thin on the ground

Haha not true!
So steps 17386
Food!
B- coffee and cereal
L- veggie broth, bread, mixed fruit salad, 2 cupcakes!
S- small apple pie
D- spring roll, chips and salad from the local chippy, was bloody lovely! Oh and a coke!
I care not a jot, I've really enjoyed my day!

Not2bObvious · 31/01/2020 22:53

Glad you had a good day & enjoyed your food, doesn’t look like you went mad or bad!
Well, let’s just say the totm munchies hit me hard tonight. Still doing well overall though this week, and more on track than not.

Not i hadn't but secured a rental property this evening & have agreed a price to purchase a house too Wink

Had my day planned out food wise but then bf was brought to hospital by ambulance this morning, I took dc to chip shop and had plain chicken kebab myself instead of planned chilli con carne & rice. I'll have that tomo eve now instead.
He's been diagnosed with COPD as a result of years of smoking, he has been told to quit and it seems that he will. I'm hesitant to believe this will happen but can only hope it will.

Au pair took dc home from house viewing & I went to the hospital just home a few minutes really.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/02/2020 06:12

Hurrah on the house happier. Oh no for bf. That's very worrying hope he does quit.
I'm impressed at the restraint. A chicken kebab is fine.

Well done curvy. You should care not a jot on your birthday.

Sts this week though I'm not sure how given I've been off plan most of the week.

Happierwithouthim · 01/02/2020 06:54

Life I'm glad I was there to hear the doctor & also that bf is not shying away from it & having a devil may care attitude to it. We'll be together a year tomo!

Are you not around to weigh tomo?

The kebab was lovely & baked not fried so I'm thinking it was grand.

Not2bObvious · 01/02/2020 07:20

Great news on the rental happier, your poor bf though, bloody cigarettes are a curse. I smoked for 15 years, kicked the habit but have been tempted over the years on the odd sneaky one. So addictive. And it’s more the idea than the action I found, I linked it with relaxation, nothing could be further from the truth when I’d be stressing when I couldn’t have one.
Up a bit but still at over a pound off average. I’ll need to be better prepared with a nighttime snacking plan for this evening. Totm shouldn’t mean I try to empty the presses!

I'm weighing before my Tabata class this morning, will update later.
Yesterday did a Powerwave (weighted bag) HIIT class before work. Eating went well until I succumbed to a couple of cheese & crackers and a drop of damson gin last night.
Happier my smoothies use oats, an apple or pear, cottage cheese and natural yoghurt, berries and water. There is a very mild taste of the cheese maybe but it's not unpleasant, a bit like cheesecake. Sorry to hear about your bf's diagnosis, happy to try to answer any questions you might have either here or PM me. My job is working with COPD patients.

Happierwithouthim · 01/02/2020 08:02

+0.9lbs this morning but average down for the week, will weigh again tomo.

North that's great I'm sure I will have lots of questions! Thanks

Not it's unreal isn't it the hunger that comes over us at TOTM

Wolfcub · 01/02/2020 08:21

Happier congrats on the rental agreement and the purchase. Sorry to hear about the copd, fingers crossed he quits and congratulations on a year together too

Happierwithouthim · 01/02/2020 08:45

Thanks wolf

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/02/2020 09:12

Ah a year together, fab.
Yes I will weight tomorrow too.

northender · 01/02/2020 11:41

4 pounds down, 14 this year, over the moon, cider and chicken kebab to celebrate tonight, then back on it. More steps and a yoga class a week are the goals for Feb.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 01/02/2020 12:19

Happier good work on the rental!
Sorry about bf and the copd, I hope he stops really soon. I'm an ex smoker too and now how hard it is to give up!
Congratulations on being together a year Wine Flowers

Not, well done and you definitely deserve to celebrate!

My scales seem to be liking me today again, 12s1lb, (169.6 lbs), so another lb down.
Breakfast was cereal and coffee.
Lunch will be 'what's left in the fridge soup'.

I need to do loads of tidying this weekend, my house is a tip, but also need to go and do shopping because I didn't manage to do an online shop, just so busy with work and then just so tired.
So steps won't be great but will be getting a workout with the housework!

Do you all weigh in lbs?

northender · 01/02/2020 13:25

Well done on your weigh Curvy. I prefer working in kg, but I'm doing a weekly weigh at the gym and they are doing it in stones & pounds so I'm going with that and converting.

Not2bObvious · 01/02/2020 13:30

That is fantastic north, that’s a considerable amount of weight, you must be down a dress size at least?
I weigh in pounds curvy, I find stones a bit upsetting to be honest. Pounds just seemed more abstract and the plan I followed (which got me on the thread cause I’m more a fritterer than a frugaleer!) recommended it. And I cannot get on with kilos😂

OP posts:
CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 01/02/2020 14:07

Sorry, that should be north! That is a lot of weight, so a whole stone! You should celebrate in style!

See I weighed in kgs first, but didn't think it was really working, so went to stones and that seems to show more of a balance, but lbs scare me a bit, 3 whole numbers and a decimal point! What is that all about!?Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/02/2020 14:11

Well done North.

Fucking stress eating here. Bugger all steps as writing a job app. Going for a walk now

Not2bObvious · 01/02/2020 14:29

A walk will do you good life, felt rubbish this morning and forced myself out, and it certainly didn’t make anything worse. Came home and keep moving around instead of lying down. Saying that, now I’m lying on the couch watching Easy ways to live well I had recorded. Really enjoying it

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 01/02/2020 15:47

It did do me good and I got a few jobs done in the village. Lovely dress in the charity but too big for me sadly.
9 k steps so far and 200 over

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/02/2020 06:53

Weekly average is creeping up by another .2

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/02/2020 07:02

I have zero excuses so will be going to the gym this morning. Not sure I can have the walk though so will be driving there. Steps on the spot later

ChristmasSeacow · 02/02/2020 08:06

Can I join again? I was doing pretty well on slimming world 18m ago and lost over 3 st but put almost 2 of it back on again over autumn /Christmas Blush. As much to do with stress as anything but I must get a grip and not let food be the way I deal with stress. Also need to make time to look after my diet because otherwise I’ll sink...

Been back at SW and lost 8lbs in the last 3 weeks so heading in the right direction again. It’s a little depressing to think it will take me another 2-3 months of hard work to get back to where I was!

Anyway, I’ve no idea how much you all have to lose but I’m (I think) 14st2 at SW (evening, clothed). Would like to lose at least 3.5 stone, maybe more.

Made cheese and chive scones for the kids yesterday for after-school snacks and didn’t eat one Shock. They’re in the freezer now so out of temptation’s way. Making a blueberry cake for the family today as I have a glut of them and again I will not be touching it. Last weeks millionaire’s shortbread was hard though- I did have a piece of that, oops. So hard sticking to a plan when cooking nice things for a family!

They’re all having lasagne for dinner (I found one in the freezer and want the dish back in use). Not sure what I’ll be eating with them as I can’t have that. I need to do some batch cooking today as otherwise the week falls apart a bit in the chaos of work.

Off to look up some lunch ideas as that’s what I find hardest, as I’m avoiding bread.
