New thread for 2020 since we didn’t finish the old one by year end

After a poor start I'm finishing the day 270 cals over, I've done that before without having sausages & choc & crisps for breakfast

Not2bObvious · 28/01/2020 19:37

Considering the lack of sleep and general stress no doubt, I’d count that as a good day happier, purely being up & about for so long will mean you’ve burned more cals anyway. I’m feeling pretty hungry here and just remembered my egg muffins. Will only bring my 8 cals over, v pleased I made the effort to make them (wish I’d remembered them before the peanuts I ate though)

Being tired is one of the hardest things I find when I'm trying to regulate my eating. You must be shattered Happier
I oven baked some nuts & seeds last week as an experiment. I did cashews, almonds, pumpkin & sunflower seeds with a tiny bit of oil, cajun seasoning & a bit of honey at the end. It was a great snack at work with an apple or pear.
Did a bodyweight HIIT session followed by a Kettlercise class tonight.
B: 2 slices Low GI toast & cottage cheese
L: Fish soup
D: Keema pie from the Pinch of Nom book. It was delicious & went down well with everyone

Happierwithouthim · 28/01/2020 20:50

North those nuts sound delicious, I can't do portion control with nuts

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 28/01/2020 20:55

So my soup was much more filling earlier, I didn't have bread either and I'm still nicely full. Thanks north for the tip, I tend to have small tins of butter beans knocking about, but usually use them for bean salad or chilli, don't know why i didn't think of it before!
I've made overnight oats for tomorrow with, emm oats, chia seeds, flaxseed, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, coconut milk and frozen mixed berries, will have it warm tomorrow and I think it will keep me full better, it definitely has more protein!
Lunch tomorrow will be out, our team try to go out monthly, but usually end up in the chip shop! But I've heard good things about their falafel wrap, at least it won't be chips!

northender · 28/01/2020 21:25

Glad it has worked for you curvy. Overnight oats aren't my thing at all, but definitely ticks all the boxes, protein, slow release carbs and lots of "good" fats

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/01/2020 06:20

Big flux up today 1.5 lb. Bah.

Not2bObvious · 29/01/2020 08:00

Cautious of getting excited by a low, what goes down invariably goes up. I haven’t got below this weight in a long time (maybe September?) One of them weights you see fleetingly every now & again that make you think you’ve cracked it and the next weigh ins knock you right off your perch😂

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 29/01/2020 11:46

Ah yes the weigh ins sent to tease us. I know them well

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/01/2020 13:23

Just been craving a tuna sandwich on broche bun and it's lovely....

Happierwithouthim · 29/01/2020 15:15

Hi all!

Tuna and sweetcorn is a regular with me, to keep me ahem, regular Grin

today I had bacon medallions/tomato/spinach/avocado on irwins seeded bread - yum

weighed at 163.8 this morning, put that in for yesterday too and removed Monday's horrible 164.9 Grin

not cautiously excited

Not2bObvious · 29/01/2020 16:03

Yeah absolutely happier, typical though I’m utterly starving today!

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 29/01/2020 16:58

That sandwich came in at 497kcals and was like something you'd order out rather than typical everyday sandwich.

Having chicken paprika with rice for dinner, from my batch cooking so I've got 18cals to spare and have gone over protein by 7g and hit 30g fibre today - winning Grin gotta catch up on water Hmm

Not2bObvious · 29/01/2020 18:53

The penny has dropped, totm is due, usually get a low weight & insatiable hunger. I’m helping family out with kids tonight and their house is full to the brim with goodies - or it was full to the brim before I attacked their stashBlush I think the term frenzy would be apt

OP posts:
northender · 29/01/2020 20:22

No gym today.
B: Low GI toast & cottage cheese (again!)
L: Fish soup (again!)
D: HM Chicken nuggets & HM coleslaw

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 29/01/2020 21:19

Better day today with food.

B- overnight oats, was really nice, but not something I will do every day, and coffee.
L- plain jacket potato, beans and side salad, water, in the local cafe.
D- beetroot and hummus salad. Wasn't very hungry due to the big lunch.
Then a hot chocolate a bit later, it is so cold!
Steps 13289

Not2bObvious · 29/01/2020 21:25

You guys are making me blush you’ve eaten so well. I seriously couldn’t even list what I picked at, gobbled & snaffled! I’d help out anytime for the family but seriously I’ll need my jaw wired before I do it again. I’m eating my words (and all the chocs!) about being able to sometimes resist junk😂
Drawing line under it, I know from a team RH perspective you can have an extra 200 for totm days if you need, I reckon I’ve used up a couple of months worth

OP posts:
CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 29/01/2020 21:36

Not, I'm sure you haven't eaten that much!
Look at me the other day, the food didn't even touch the sides!

Not2bObvious · 29/01/2020 22:12

I dunno curvy, I tried to record it all and even now I’m remembering other things I sampled. I’m thinking around 2,500 for the day. But honestly in case it’s not coming across as light hearted as I mean it to, I’m not worried, it was just a bit of madness. I’m not seeing it as a catastrophe - 1 hot day does not a summer make, 1 bad day does not this diet break.

OP posts:
CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 29/01/2020 22:35

Not, I knew you were being light hearted, but is still good to hear!
I like your saying too!

Happierwithouthim · 29/01/2020 23:37

Not only thing that saved me tonight was there was nothing to scoff, debated a wagon wheel but I don't like them so left it there, went over cals by 80 ish

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/01/2020 08:03

Do they do multi buys on jaw wiring?
Some of bloat off. Steps got by on the spot. No fbw today as DS off school. Will need to spot steps today too

Not2bObvious · 30/01/2020 08:48

Yeah - a decent bogof on the jaw wiring would be excellent.
Wonder of wonders, slight drop today. Anyone else get worried when they see losses, like it’s the scales messing with you😂

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 30/01/2020 09:55

162.2 this morning Grin don't think it's battery on scales as I was very bloated at start of the week and I've now gone down a notch on my belt so I think it's ok.

Jaw wiring sounds like a good option - no walk yesterday - visited bf, bought chips for his dm and a mars bar for him but resisted buying anything for myself and ate my paprika chicken when I came home instead Halo his dm admired my restraint and ate her chips in a different room as a result Smile

All the time not all the time Confused

Not2bObvious · 30/01/2020 10:02

That’s a brilliant NSV happier, real proof you’re shrinking & great job resisting chips - esp in company
