I’m so glad it’s not just me with the porridge! I thought at first it was just as I had it too sweet as I know how blood sugar drops quicker etc but even plain it was no different.

I should eat eggs more really. Boiled eggs and buttered granary toast was a common breakfast for a while and then when I tried adding asparagus, boom. Ravenous within an hour.

I’m super hungry now actually 😳 I’ve eaten really badly today TBH. Must get back on track.

I may need to go to the shops tomorrow as I need to get antibiotics for DS. I’ve not been since before lockdown. The walk will really do me good and I can brave a small food shop after but I’d probably still need to get a bus back up the hill to get home. I pretty much lived on public transport before this and yet now I’m nervous Hmm

I did some yoga this morning :)

Shame about working DD’s birthday :(

Not2bObvious · 18/04/2020 00:12

I went to my actual work yesterday happier (deemed essential work) and it was great! Totally on my own, but I loved it. Sorry it hasn’t fallen well though for dd birthday.
Lane I think the eating bad, as such, is what really fuels the mad hunger. I think reading signs earlier, is it better planning we all need?

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/04/2020 08:25

I went for a few salted peanuts and chickpeas. Expected a rise today but was pleasantly surprised.

Boo to going to work on DD birthday. Yeah to going to the office though.

I haven't been hitting protein and definitely more hungry feeling. .

Back to it today

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/04/2020 11:43

Zumba class done so on 4500 steps now. Felt good as it was disco vibe. More dance which suits me.
Tracked breakfast and lunch. Dinner will be tricky as curry tapas from the freezer

Happierwithouthim · 18/04/2020 12:03

I'm going to be back tracking on Monday routine for eating all over the place

Not2bObvious · 18/04/2020 12:28

I’ve had no steps today at all - had some toast for breakfast, not sure what I’ll have for lunch. I didn’t eat any chocolate yesterday, and only a half pack of crisps with my lunch. Rich dinner last night, lots of butter, oil and cream - it was delicious but scary in the calorie stakes. Hey ho, better to overeat on real food than junk so it’s grand. No weigh in today

I've been absent as I've not had a good week so have been hanging my head in shame! Will get back on it though. I felt that horrible PM impending doom this week too Not. Then period came and I had 2 days of horrible cramps so I've eaten rubbish, rubbish and more rubbish this week.

Not2bObvious · 18/04/2020 14:01

No shame necessary here, we’ve all been there north - good to “see” you back, doesn’t matter if we fall what matters is we get back up. Sorry you’ve had cramps, mine aren’t too bad now but I’ve a stinking headache from wine and I’m going off the booze for a bit. Still flip all steps and v low energy. Will try hard to pull myself together

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 18/04/2020 14:20

No shame at all here north

I'm only on 3k steps now, feeling tired today too, debating nap after putting shopping away & then walk because I definitely won't nap after if I wait

I was at work & did grocery shopping though so have been productive

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/04/2020 14:54

Dinna worry about that North. No shame or judgement here

Wolfcub · 18/04/2020 16:01

Back to 14.2 and a bit after the Easter rise. Pilates done today. Need to read back and catch up with you all

Not2bObvious · 18/04/2020 16:05

Dragged myself around the outside for an hour, nearly 9,500 done so only 500 to hit my minimum. Very very tired, no interest in lunch, couldn’t for the life of me find anything I fancied so I’m going to hang on for dinner around 5.30, kids have been promised a takeaway. I’m not bothered but I’ll pick a bit. This hangover is working a treat for my diet! Did a weigh in just there and I reckon I would have been the same as yesterday if I’d weighed at wake up. Instead of hours later with toast and a million cups of tea in me. Gain is now standing at .5 of a pound, not bad considering the amount I’ve eaten this week. Mind you, it’ll probably show up next week

Wolfcub · 18/04/2020 17:55

I've just read back a little. I love porridge. But I love it with double cream and muscavado sugar so it is not a diet foodGrin

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/04/2020 18:05

For the first day in a month I've made 15000 steps and more. Lovely long walk and a dance about

Not2bObvious · 18/04/2020 20:27

I think I’d like that porridge too wolf, sounds like a dessert 😋
That’s brilliant life, you’re killing it.
I’m under cals, only the second time this week. Takeaway was rubbish, rubbish food calories should be refunded😡 On the plus side I didn’t eat it all

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 19/04/2020 08:07

Hate a disappointment takeaway.
Over on Cal yesterday too. Must track better. .
Sts today.

Not2bObvious · 19/04/2020 08:35

My average is up as suspected by .5, if I don’t get a gain by next Sunday I’ll have dodged a bullet. Was a proper greedy guts most of this week. Got up at 6 for a walkie talkie, and prepped stuff for today’s dinner, did 2 more mince based dinners too. So I’ve 8,000 steps done & have gotten ahead in the meal stakes. Sitting down with a cuppa while the rest of them sleep.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 19/04/2020 11:55

Morning, just!

I've not been great at food, lots of snacks, but they are all gone now, so that should help!

Anyway did lots of tidying and cleaning yesterday, today I'm doing the kitchen, including the oven!

It is also totm, so I feel crappy, but I'm just going to get on with it, we will need to eat later and no takeaways are open!
Silver lining I guess!

Have a good day all!

Not2bObvious · 19/04/2020 12:53

Well done on getting rid of the snacks curvy😉 Yeah the lack of takeaway is our diet friend. My appetite isn’t huge for a change, so I’m working with it but it’s odd feeling - anyone else nearly feel uneasy if they’re not hungry like normal?

OP posts:
LaneBoy · 19/04/2020 13:10

I bought waaaay too much snack food yesterday! Must be strong and eke it out as much as possible. I got lots of nuts and seeds to mix up though as the protein helps me.

Had tuna mayo, boiled eggs and salad for lunch just now. It’s an oddly frequent craving ATM (I get cravings a lot, I’m not pregnant :o)

I agree on the takeaway - I am ashamed of how often I was ordering before! I didn’t enjoy the ones I’ve had recently either. One was a KFC-a-like but totally didn’t hit the spot so won’t be doing that again.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/04/2020 14:48

We had a weekly takeaway pre lockdown. Not missing that. No I'm not as hungry but I was in a food habit as a routine. It's 1030 time for a snack. That and bored

Happierwithouthim · 19/04/2020 16:30

We're celebrating dds birthday today so there willl be takeaway & they're going to drive through Burger King tomo with their father.

I'm up 1lbs not seeing it in my waistband though

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 19/04/2020 20:54

Hi, I hope it's ok to join you all! I've stopped watching what I eat and my weight has crept up, I'm now 1st 5lbs over my happy weight and all my clothes are getting on the tight side. (My summer PJ shorts are bordering on indecent due to the increase in my arse size!)

So I've downloaded myfitness pal and I'm going to restart the couch to 5k. I did it before and finished the Brighton half marathon in February. So I know i can do it! Today my calories are coming in at 1,514 but I've done no exercise today. I've still got 86 calories 'spare' so might have a small bag of haribo while watching hell's kitchen later 😋 I've been drinking when I want to snack, I've got lots of herbal teas which help a little with the sweet cravings!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 19/04/2020 20:56

What is everyone else doing weight loss wise?

Happierwithouthim · 20/04/2020 00:26

No cuts myself not & life calorie count on mfp we all followed a plan which focused on protein & fibre & getting 15k steps daily in the past, we weigh daily.

I've not been tracking in mfp but will be tomorrow because weight is creeping up due to covid baking & not drinking enough water or eating enough fibre, getting more steps than ever before
