Morning all! And welcome to the December edition of lose 7lbs!

A huge to welcome to the newbies, long term followers and contributors and the lurkers!

I would dearly love to lose 7lbs in December but accepting that I'm probably going to relax things a little, have some chocolate or some cheese, mulled wine and stollen.

I will still be following ww and 16:8 most days. I'm also going to try stay mostly vegan with the exception of local eggs which I think should help me stay on track!

Stats are:
Dec starting weight: 18.13
Dec target weigh: 18.7
Loss for November: 3lbs
Loss for 2019: 6stone 5lbs

Happy December to all and let's get our festive groove on!

Had a whoosh (or a blip) this morning, 0.7kg lighter suddenly! Must be the soup diet.

Feeling festive, handed Christmas cards with coffee and mince pies invitation to closest neighbours yesterday, finishing decorations today.

Xmas Smile

Hi, just checking in after a few busy days celebrating DD1 birthday, lots of food and way too much drink. 15st 11lb this morning so not putting anything on which is a Christmas miracle as have almost zero willpower at the moment around chocolate. If I can bobble along for the next 2 weeks and stay at 15 11 or under I will be happy.
well done to everyone who is displaying far more self control than I can muster. Xmas Wink

Egghead68 · 16/12/2019 13:08

Oh - thanks for reminding me of Twiglets @Katinka2. Quite low calorie as I recall and filling.

I've fasted today apart from some sugar -free sweets and black coffee and plan to keep going till 5pm.

lilgreen · 16/12/2019 16:16

B: boiled egg, whole meal toast
L: rye bread with mashed avocado, apple
D: bean chilli with brown rice

Egghead68 · 16/12/2019 18:57

B: Sugar free sweets
L: Sugar free sweets, 1 chocolate
D: small glass wine, dressed salad with nuts, veg crisps, pesto, veg, butternut squash tart, 2 scoops sorbet, strawberries, candy floss. Totally delicious.
I think around 1600 calories in total for the day so could have been worse.

DownUdderer · 17/12/2019 01:26

My legs have stopped aching! I didn’t think I was going to fall asleep last night because my legs were aching so much!

I think my food was pretty good yesterday, I avoided chocolate brownie.

Today I’ve avoided a milk shake.

I’m planning chicken thighs cooked in the oven tonight, with roasted veggies.

I want to get out tonight for a walk after dinner. For the first time in ages the smoke has gone so I want to re-establish the daily walking habit.

Egghead68 · 17/12/2019 06:35

I am so glad the smoke has disappeared finally.

66.7kg. Still feel stuffed from Christmas meal yesterday so going to try to fast at least till evening. Might have some salad and fruit then.

WoollyFoolly · 17/12/2019 07:33

Urgh, things are not going well. The masses of Christmas snacks are NOT GOOD. I finished work on Friday (work in a school) so am in full-on holiday mode. Yesterday had pringles, florentines, lemon cream gin. I'm not weighing this morning. 😖
I think I need to just try and maintain over December and then tackle the last remaining half a stone in January.

Egghead68 · 17/12/2019 07:41

Lemon cream gin???!! Do you know where you can get this please?

cricketmum84 · 17/12/2019 08:14

@DownUdderer excellent news about the smoke!

Quick check in from me to wave hello as I'm about to set of to the vets with the kids hamster. Well i say the kids but I'm the only one who looks after her.... not sure if I'll be bringing her home as she is ancient (for a Russian dwarf) and very wobbly and shaky.

Wish me luck!

WoollyFoolly · 17/12/2019 08:22

@cricketmum84, hope your hamster is OK, good luck.

7Worfs · 17/12/2019 10:11

My social isolation and dental surgery are paying off - yesterday’s overnight loss of 0.7kg seems to be real. Xmas Shock

I’ll be indulging between Christmas Day and new year, but fast for longer, maybe 18 hours.

I over-ordered Christmas decorations, will drop them off at the local church later - a good deed and can’t be bothered with returns, it’s a big honking box.

Egghead68 · 17/12/2019 13:42

Fantastic - thanks @WoollyFoolly!

Sorry about your hamster @cricketmum84.

Excellent loss @7Worfs!

cricketmum84 · 17/12/2019 15:06

Well she is still with us. Had a few funny turns over the last week where she is shaking and can't walk but then perks up within a few hours and is whizzing around her cage like a baby hamster again! Giving her a week observation and if it keeps happening then going back.

OP posts:
Egghead68 · 17/12/2019 16:18

Fingers crossed she makes a good recovery.

WoollyFoolly · 17/12/2019 16:22

How old is she? They don't live very long at all, do they? My SIL bought her DD a hamster when she was 5 or 6 not realising quite how short-lived they are.

cricketmum84 · 17/12/2019 16:26

@WoollyFoolly she's 3 and they smusualy day 18 months to 2 years for Russian dwarfs so she's done pretty well! I know it sounds silly but you do get attached to their funny little characters. Our last one used to hide in my scarf and snuggle in there as I was reading 😂

OP posts:
cricketmum84 · 17/12/2019 16:27

God knows what smusualy means?!?! USUALLY

OP posts:
lilgreen · 17/12/2019 19:15

B: 2 weetabix with skimmed milk
L: chicken salad, apple
D: homemade lean pork spicy meatballs with small amount of pasta, wilted spinach

Ihatesundays · 17/12/2019 21:16

Just checking in to tell you my weight is exactly the same and I don’t want to lose this thread.

Debating when to try on my target trousers. I don’t think I’ve worn them for about 5/6 years when they were a tiny bit snug. I was waiting until I was under 70kg... but so tempting...

DownUdderer · 18/12/2019 01:52

I tried on two pairs of jeans I’d been hoping to fit into, old ones from the back of the wardrobe. They fit me but they are both so ugly! Why have I been dreaming about wearing them?!! It did make me groan! I will buy some new jeans that are stylish when the weather turns to jeans wearing weather!

It’s going to be scorching hot tomorrow. We don’t have air conditioning so we just sort of have to persevere!

I’ve been eating sensibly, but my weight is maintaining. The last few pounds feel stubborn!

Egghead68 · 18/12/2019 07:13

67kg. Up 0.6 on a few days ago.
Two 3-course Christmas dinners today so it’s all about damage limitation ...

cricketmum84 · 18/12/2019 07:24

I also fit into a size smaller jeans yesterday! So even though I haven't lost very much at all over the last 6 weeks I must have had a change in body shape as I had only just got into the size above about 8 weeks ago!

Weight still hovering and no loss to report. Good news on the hamster front though as I have just caught her swinging about from the bars at the top of her cage like some sort of circus act 😂

Plan for today is water and green tea until 11 then a satsuma or a banana.
Brie and cranberry sandwich for lunch
Mixed bean chilli and small amount of brown rice for dinner

Have a great Wednesday everyone!
