Huh - you only have stomach in the singular unlike some others of us...

jnbsmum · 29/10/2004 22:58

I think it is time for bed. Dh will be in soon stinking of alcohol and making me

monkeygirl · 29/10/2004 22:59

Don't think I should confess this but I don't think I've had 'pert' boobs since I was about 14!

jnbsmum · 29/10/2004 23:00

Can i ask though does the skin ever go back (Once its stretched)????

jnbsmum · 29/10/2004 23:01

Pert boobs??? what are they. Mine have always been sagging melons

monkeygirl · 29/10/2004 23:02

If you make it to bed, night night. I really must try as well as I still have bottles to get ready for tomorrow so I must NOT stay on MN!.

monkeygirl · 29/10/2004 23:03

Oh no jnbsmum, that's a question I've been dreading to ask and know the answer for. I've watched one too many docs on women who have had to have full body lifts due to excess weight loss .

jnbsmum · 29/10/2004 23:03

Its adictive isn't it. Night then. Will be on hear tommorow most likely. Its this or food so i think i'll choose this.
Night all x

monkeygirl · 29/10/2004 23:05

Less calories defo so a good option - night night.

PuffTheMagicDragon · 31/10/2004 08:23

eek, sensible choices off the menu didn't really work on Friday!

Starter ok.

Main course - sea bass and clam liguini - thought thr linguini would be in a tomatoey sauce, but it was all creamy. Still I forced myself to eat it.

Pudding - chocolate tart and pistachio ice cream - what happened to sorbet? Still, I only ate two thirds of the choc tart as it was SOOO RICH. Now at one time I'd have just hammered my way through the whole lot. That's about the only thing I have to feel virtuous about!

Meal no2 tonight and I'm not making any promises!

woodpops · 01/11/2004 08:19

Morning all, lost another 4½lb at my way in on Thursday. Weekend has been ok. Went out Sat and dh,ds and dd had a pub lunch which I'm not finding too bad. I throw my attention into the kids and cutting their food up etc. Sunday I cooked a killer roast diner that was quite difficult not to have any so went upstairs and red the paper while they all ate. I did the best roasts of all time and the pork crackling was just calling my name!!! I'm dribbling while I'm typing this!!!

hi all I am back and had a wonderfull time. too wonderfull however and am dreading weighing
welcome lunearsea and jnbsmum, wow we are getting quite a big group now (no puns intended
I am really working hard from now on. It's so silly when I think about how long I have been dieting on and off if I had just stuck to it I would have been at goat ages ago right look forward to a new improved healty eating champs!!!

monkeygirl · 01/11/2004 16:18

Hello all - hope you are all doing well! Champs, where have you been (sorry if I missed that bit in one of your posts somewhere)? Know what you mean about should have done this a long long time ago properly but it still doesn't make it any easier sadly.

Puff, am looking forward to the next menu - the linguini and pudding sounded lovely! Hope you're not beating yourself up about it though - if you are being good most of the time the odd 'bad' meal won't really matter that much - it's only if it's every meal!

Woodpops, you must have iron-willpower to cook a roast dinner and not eat it (and pork roast is one of my favourites!) - I absolutely could not do that - well done on that and weight loss.

I have lost 2 lbs this week. Before you all lambast me, I know any weight loss is good but I am actually quite disappointed as I would expect to lose a lot more in my first week 'proper' as a lot of it is usually water-loss. Could be because I have replaced my choc obsession with alcohol this week . Okay I shall have to try some more tweaking and hope to do better next week.

Good luck to the rest of you!

woodpops · 01/11/2004 16:28

It was the potatos mg. They were the best roast spuds ever.

What diet are you following??

bran · 01/11/2004 16:41

Welcome back Champs - what's that about a goat? I'm glad you had a good time, but I find a good holiday usually means coming back to reality with a bit of a bump. I'm glad you now motivated to go back to your healthy eating, I'll be watching you through the computer so be good.

Monkeygirl I think 2lb is pretty good, but I know what you mean lots of people seem to loose a whopping 4 or 5 lbs in the first week of WW but I only lost a tiny amount in my first week (I think either 1 or 1/2 lb) and I was really pissed off. But as the weeks have gone by I've lost every week whereas the big loosers seem to have periods when they plateau and don't lose anything so on average it works out about the same, so keep it up. In answer to your earlier question (way, way down the page) I'm not single or available and some of my flirting was with my husband, but I happened to be sitting beside one of those charming, flirty men (I'm sure you know the kind, he wasn't chatting me up as such but he gave the impression that he found everyone at the table totally fascinating) so I just had fun.

monkeygirl · 01/11/2004 16:41

Crispy roast spuds all soft in the middle - yum! But you cannot beat a bit of crackling, drool drool. Hve you not eaten any proper food then yet?

I'm not doing a particular one, I'm just trying to be more sensible with portion sizes, have no choc and cut down on carbs a lot. I lost 2 stones this way before I got pregnant last September. However, it has been a particularly stressful week for one reason or another and so I think I have drunk too much to 'relax' in the evenings.

woodpops · 01/11/2004 16:49

Yep they certainly were. What makes it worse with the crackling is ds doesn't like it so I had to throw it away. It breaks my heart throwing food away at the minute.

Nope not eaten any food what so ever in nearly 6 weeks. All I've had is my meal packs which are shakes or soups. I've been sticking to the shakes.

You did well to loose 2 stone on your own. I'm sure you'll do it again. Look you're already 2lbs on the way!!!! Keep it up it'll soon come off. I totally agree with what Bran said about steady weight loosers and big weight loosers reaching a plateau.

monkeygirl · 01/11/2004 17:24

my head tells me the slower the better but my heart is yelling out 'get on with quickly before I lose interest again'. I know you don't have many choices but I need some of that iron willpower of yours. At least tonight dh is out which always makes it easier. I'm really considering (re)learning knitting or something to occupy my wandering hands!
