i noticed the restaraunts and thats what set me off about my chocs. Well they'll know about it when theyve got to execise loads tommorow.
I'd like to start exercising but i cant at the moment. I'm recovering from surgery and i'm not allowed to do anything for 6 weeks

monkeygirl · 29/10/2004 22:14

This is probably not in the good netiquette rules but what have you had surgery for (don't answer if you don't want to!)?

I have polycistic ovary syndrome (think thats what its called. I had large cysts on both my ovarys and had to have them removed. (the cysts not the ovarys) I'm now in an awful lot of pain.
The pcos also causes weight gain. I need to lose weight to solve the problem but if it reacurrs then i put on weight. Its a bit of a viscious circle

jnbsmum · 29/10/2004 22:20

Hello yorkie and thanks for the jeans. Hope you got my email. The jeans are already getting too big now

monkeygirl · 29/10/2004 22:27

Oh poor you jnbsmum. My friend had pcos but last time we spoke had just got to the stage where they were (finally) taking the pains she felt seriously (as opposed to it just be 'bad' period pain) and had diagnosed pcos. Do they hope it will solve the problem permanently then?

I know it doesn't compare but I am dreading my periods starting as mine were always irregular and painful but no sign yet (stopped all bfing about 2 weeks ago).

jnbsmum · 29/10/2004 22:31

After i stopped bf my first period was very light. After that then my problem came back full force. Is this your first child cause they do say that after having children your periods calm down. I know my sister said that theory worked for her. A few of my friend said the same too

Also tell your friend to keep on at the docs. It took me 4 years to be listened to. They told me because i was so young things would settle down (im 24). I kept at them but when they decided to do sometyhing it was too late. the cysts had grown to the size of a fist

jnbsmum · 29/10/2004 22:34

I will be passing them on along with a few of my clothes too. Its such a lovely feeling

monkeygirl · 29/10/2004 22:34

No I'm on no2. First time round my periods were great when they returned, like clockwork and not painful but everything went pear-shaped after about 6 months . Fingers crossed for this time athough I shall not be holding my breath in anticipation...

monkeygirl · 29/10/2004 22:37

Yes she must keep nagging them.

You two are making me feel . Can't wait to get rid of my 'fat' clothes!

monkeygirl · 29/10/2004 22:38

And luckily (or not??) my wine is finished and I daren't open another bottle.

I think I said somewhere I must work it out in pounds as the loss sounds much more impressive - let's see - at least 84 pounds, probably 91-ish. But who knows what I will be happy with if and when I get there. I used to think I was so huge when I was about 10.5 stones but only realise now that I looked ok. Yes it does sound scary but you have done so well! Have people been noticing it then?

jnbsmum · 29/10/2004 22:46

Ive only just started mg. yorkie's been doing it a while. I have noticed a difference cause i started at home and lost about a stone over 3 months. Thats when i joined ww and its coming off even more

I darent count the chins or the spare tyres. Love handles an dh calls them.

monkeygirl · 29/10/2004 22:53

Yorkie - they'll be in for a shock then - prepare to blush and take compliments gracefully .
Jnbsmum - you've still got a head start on me as well so I shall kick my own butt then - and not open another bottle of wine tonight (hey baby steps first...)

jnbsmum · 29/10/2004 22:54

An open bottle is and empty bottle. Thats a difficult one to resist

monkeygirl · 29/10/2004 22:54

I never actually put much weight on my face, but am Queen of 'Back Fat'

jnbsmum · 29/10/2004 22:55

Oh ive just realised ive got a bottle of hardys next to the chocs in the fridge. NO I MUST RESIST
