I was good and just stuck to plain Americanos to fuel my day. Had a bowl of fresh tomato soup and a piece of soda bread for lunch which was good. But then got ambushed by a large piece of walnut Tiffin in a cafe which was delicious but bad, bad, bad. However, that is all I've had all day and don't feel hungry so won't eat again until tmrw. Infact I've got a filthy headache so might have an early night.

TreesSandSea · 22/10/2019 00:01

Hi all the newbies!just a quick post because it’s sooooo late:
No breakfast except 2 cups coffee
Roasted veg salad for lunch
Dinner was small portions of- gnocci, beef brisket and veg, and chocolate orange torte. Plus 2 glasses wine. MFP says it came in at 1276 cals so a tiny bit over but I am going to take that as a win because it was a big dinner thing that I couldn’t get out of, and I did really well on the train, which is pretty much unheard of 😁.
No weigh in tomorrow morning as no scales!

Well done everyone on your good days!

Morning all!
So for a change today I have had breakfast - scrambled egg in a slice of Gouda with a tomato on. Was pretty tasty - I am in the train today from 9.45- 6pm so I wanted to be full up before I started! I have bought a coffee and a few protein bars to eat en route, but not eating anything till 1pm as otherwise I’ll eat them all and then have lunch as well!
Hope you guys are having a great day.

Welcome @sparkle789!

@FizzFizzPlinkPlink I hope your headache cleared?

@TreesSandSea where are you going on the train? Hope your day was a good one!

I have been crazy busy at work today as I'm off next week so trying to get everything up to date, and one of my colleagues is off the rest of this week too. I managed to eat breakfast at 3.45pm Shock I had two weetabix with semi-skimmed milk. Then I got home late and had one chicken fajita with bacon, onions, peppers and mushrooms, and a can of Coke Zero. Haven't really been hungry today so haven't even thought about food which is good!

TreesSandSea · 22/10/2019 19:01

I am talking to myself! Still keeping on here. Home again after my travelling. Survived the trip unscathed food-wise.

Quorn korma with rice for tea, plus a couple of slimline G and Tonic
Just over 1000 cals

Hope you guys are still doing well!

TreesSandSea · 22/10/2019 19:02

Wow @MillieMoodle sounds like you have had an amazing day 😁

I indulged in a Pepsi Max on the train. So good it must be bad!

OP posts:
MillieMoodle · 22/10/2019 20:10

@TreesSandSea don't worry, you're not talking to yourself, I'm still here! Yes was a bit of a busy day. I'm looking forward to the weekend and a whole week off!

Well done for sticking to the calorie count. MFP won't talk to me today because I haven't eaten enough Grin Given that I am usually always hungry, I will enjoy this feeling of not being hungry while it lasts. I expect I will want to eat enough to feed a small army tomorrow!

TreesSandSea · 22/10/2019 20:26

Grin I am the same! MFP says I haven’t had enough calories to earn a predicted weight loss! Ha!

Firstly well done everyone on your great start to the week so far - keep it up!
Today at work there was a box of Lindt chocolates being offered round and I declined! Felt very proud as I can usually not refuse a nice choc.
For me it’s the small things like this that I cheat on and try and justify by telling myself it’s only one etc. So a good Tuesday for me!!

Howlongtillbedtime · 23/10/2019 07:03

Morning all , was a hectic day yesterday and I doubt today will be much calmer but I am sticking to plan .

I am worried about next week as its half term and we have a lot of things planned. I think I am going to have to up my exercise to counter act the half term madness.

I hope everyone has a good day.

TreesSandSea · 23/10/2019 09:42

Signing in this morning. Weighed myself this morning (it's just what I do) and I was 12st 2.2lbs so very pleased as down 5lbs! But at least 2lbs of that will have been menstrual fluid bloat! Really want to get below 12 stone.

Innishh · 23/10/2019 10:12

Just weighed in ! 4lb down in a week! Hit 1st in the month - beyond ecstatic. It’s all about the carbs! Though I have cut down slowly (and I am fasting 16:8) - wine first for a couple of weeks. Then choc/sweets for a couple of weeks. And last week reducing my portions of rice pots bread and pasta - that has actually been easy as before that I had upped my veg and protein - so they are not missed.......

pixidreaming · 23/10/2019 10:25

@Innishh and @FizzFizzPlinkPlink

Well done you two, you must be really pleased. I'm so happy for you both.

I've not weighed myself since I started on Sunday. I've been fairly good though so hopefully the scales will start to see a loss.

Hope everyone is ok and sticking to plan.

Have a good day Smile

MillieMoodle · 23/10/2019 13:23

Afternoon all, glad to hear everyone is doing well! I was 12st 5lbs this morning, so 2lbs off since Monday.

B - 2 weetabix with semi-skimmed milk.
L - veggie sausage sandwich with brown bread.
D - not sure yet!

No snacks as yet and another crazy busy day at work.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

TreesSandSea · 24/10/2019 08:49

Morning all,
Sounds like we’re all doing pretty well! I was 14st 11 again this morning, but this is how it goes for me; no loss for a few days and then I drop 2 lbs!
Had a good day yesterday
Breakfast: coffee
Lunch: veggie lasagne and salad
Dinner: 1 slice toast with baked beans
Cheese and biscuits (4 crackers)

Keep on keeping on today!

FizzFizzPlinkPlink · 24/10/2019 09:04

Morning all! I had a bit of an indulgent day yesterday whoops! But haven't put weight on this morning so that's a result. I definitely find it easier to say no once I've lost a few pounds because you don't want to spoil all your hard work.

TreesSandSea · 24/10/2019 13:37

@FizzFizzPlinkPlink I am exactly the same - if I am on the wagon I am much less likely to give in to temptation Smile

So far today:
3 coffees
Lunch: 2 egg omelette with 25g cheese
Big green salad

Innishh · 24/10/2019 14:09

OMG my daughter made cupcakes on Monday - they have been haunting me - I have had 4 - yes FOUR - over the last 2 days......until they were all gone.

Seems I am rewarding my progress with sabotage.....

BUT
This has left me in a v bad mood - hard to know if it’s just the sugar rush (although I couldn’t sleep last night) and / or me mentally beating myself up. I keep thinking that I now need to only have water for 2 days .... but I am steadying myself right now. That moment has gone for ever, dwelling and obsessing on it will make today and tomorrow worse / so back on the waggon:

Did 16:8, walked dog 5000 steps and have eaten 2 poached eggs, 2 tomatoes, 20 cooked mushroom today so far. Stuffed.

Innishh · 24/10/2019 14:10

10 mushrooms! Not 20 - my fingers are still FAT!!

MillieMoodle · 24/10/2019 23:25

I'm still here but had a nightmare day at work - 14.5 hours in the office. Will catch up on posts tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well.

Howlongtillbedtime · 25/10/2019 08:08

Morning everyone

I have really struggled to stay on track this week. Last week of half term and a lot of very stressed and knackered teens is not a good recipe for healthy eating and drinking.

I think the best I can hope for is I have not put anything on which is rubbish and feels a bit defeatist.
Hoping after today and with a full half term ahead of doing fun things I will manage better.

Well done to everyone who is carrying on.

I nearly didnt come back because I feel I am failing but I need the accountability.

Innishh · 25/10/2019 08:29

Howlong that’s a brilliant mindset - I had a shit few days (half term teenager baking cup cakes......not proud) ..... but yesterday I started again...800 Cals: 2poached + toms+ mush, 3 babybel lights, 20 almonds, an apple and 400g tin of Waitrose lentil and veg soup - all v filling and comforting. I feel really delighted with myself for not catastrophising because of the 4 cup cakes haunting me....

Progress not perfection.

Chocolatecake12 · 25/10/2019 09:29

I’ve put on Shock
Weighed in this morning at 10.12.8 up from 10.11.4 so just over a lb
Feeling a bit gutted but I can see why - are pizza with the kids Wednesday night followed by a few sweets and last night had too many chippy thugs with my dinner.
On the plus side I’ve managed 10,000 steps each day this week.
Going to try and be good for the rest of the week now.

TreesSandSea · 25/10/2019 09:42

Hi @Innishh, @Howlongtillbedtime and @MillieMoodle

Great to hear how you are getting on. Innishh I so feel your pain. It’s so hard when the cake:biscuits: whatever is in the house and calling you. I recall as a student buying a loaf of bread and a pack of butter, bingeing on it, feeling awfully guilty and disgusted with myself and putting the rest in the bin. I used to put washing up liquid on it to stop me from taking it out again later (I did that a couple of times Blush It was pretty disordered behaviour- now I can be a bit nicer to myself and, like you, chalk it up to experience and move on the next day. It’s that ‘move on’ that’s so important. So easy to slide into a month of I give up’ instead of keeping on. So well done!
Welcome back @howlongtillbedtime. Absolutely progress not perfection. So important to give ourselves credit where it’s due - and it’s due to you Smile
@MillieMoodle I hope things start to calm down a bit today and over the weekend. Try to take a moment (or several) for yourself today to breathe!

I weigh 14st 10lbs this morning which is encouraging Smile I am at the silly stage where I recognise that 4lbs in a week is great, but I want to lose more quickly Hmm It is a critical time for me when I have lost 7-14 lbs as I start slacking. Which I cannot if I am to get down to 12 st!

Breakfast: coffee

Not sure about lunch. Weather’s foul so I might make some soup Smile
