That'll be the stress. Poor you. Can you get Medised over there?

TigerFeet · 31/08/2007 09:59

I did offer but never heard back... I have no passwords or spreadsheets etc so I can't be of much help unfortunately.

I have had another bad week eating wise - dd was poorly with a chest infection, lots of coughing at night and dh was away so I got very little sleep She's much better now but we are all still knackered, looking forward to a lie in tomorrow morning!!!

So my eating has been shocking, compounded by a birthday at work involving a very large cream cake. It would have been churlish to refuse a slice

mmm... caaaaaake...

JackieNo · 31/08/2007 10:02
  • poor you too, TigerFeet. Glad she's on the mend now. Well, maybe we'll just leave stuff for this week, and pick it up again next week. Might be just as well.
MrsJohnCusack · 31/08/2007 10:13

no medised here

I am beside myself. I had to spend last night asleep flat on my back holding him because he'll only sleep on me.

Until 5 days ago, he'd slept at least 10 hours at night for 9 days in a row. I can't imagine it now. I don't know what to do!

TigerFeet · 31/08/2007 10:37

MrsJC

Can you get an equivalent to Piriton in NZ? That works as well as Medised when combined with calpol IME.

I would gladly send you a bottle of Medised through the post if you think it would help (and customs would let me )

littlemisssensible · 31/08/2007 11:58

My commiserations MrsJC and Tigerfeet! Poorly/teething Lo's are a nightmare! I hope they both feel better soon!

I picked Blackberries too JackieNo, on our allotment! Mine have been made into Jam. I'm planning on No Calorie blackberry and apple crumble/pie with the next batch!

Kewcumber · 31/08/2007 15:13

Does anyone get Prima? I think I might be famous...

TigerFeet · 31/08/2007 15:53

at all the blackberries

I don't read Prima Kewc, unless for a Very Good Reason, I suspect I may be buying it this month???

JackieNo · 31/08/2007 16:48

I don't get Prima, but will definitely be going out to buy one this month, then - is this the thing you mentioned at the meet-up, Kewcumber?

littlemisssensible · 31/08/2007 17:12

Ohhhhh KewCumber!!!!

As a Prima subscriber I can tell you you're definately famous!

It's a good article! And you and ds both look gorgeous!!!! DS looks cute too!

littlemisssensible · 31/08/2007 17:25

My dd has just given me a very old fashioned look because I've been pointing at some random woman in my mag and telling her its cuecumber!

I think she thinks her mum has lost the plot!

JackieNo · 31/08/2007 17:28

Littlemisssensible. I can just imagine that look - my DD does them too. Bit like .

littlemisssensible · 31/08/2007 17:39

LOL, JackieNo!

I explained who KewCumber was and she said 'Ohhhhhh.....Whatever!'

Kewcumber · 31/08/2007 19:07

Bizarre that other people have seen it and not me yet. I have no idea which of the gazillion photos they took was used. And an ex-boyfriend just emailed me having read his wife's copy - most odd - haven't spoken to him in years.

WigWamBam · 31/08/2007 20:54

Sorry, I cocked up and didn't do the weights before I went away. Will catch up with myself tomorrow ...

Yay, you're back, WWB. Hello. Did you have a good holiday?

WigWamBam · 31/08/2007 21:01

It was good, yes thanks. The weather was kinder to us than I thought it was going to be so we were able to get out and do plenty of stuff.

Cottage left a lot to be desired - somewhere to get clean for one, as the doors to the shower cubicle were so narrow that I couldn't get into them, and the bath was only about 3' long. Difficult to get washed when your knees are under your chin and the bath is only an eighth of an inch wider than you are ...!

JackieNo · 31/08/2007 21:05

. Not much fun. Glad you were able to get out and do stuff though. DD has her first proper football match tomorrow - I think she's quite nervous about it, compounded by the fact that DH let them both watch an old episode of Doctor Who, that featured a blook-sucking alien, and now she's scared of that too. Don't know what possessed him to let them watch it, tbh.

WigWamBam · 31/08/2007 21:08

I'd have throttled him.

I saw the funny side of the shower/bath thing, but it will be nice to have a good soak again ... once dh gets out of the bath!

JackieNo · 31/08/2007 21:21

Enjoy it. I always like getting back to my home comforts.

Kewcumber · 31/08/2007 22:11

don;t rush out just yet WWB as its not in the shops yet - its Oct edition comes out in a few weeks (unless you subscribe)

WigWamBam · 01/09/2007 18:00

Well, the copy I bought today has someone who looks suspiciously like you in it, and a little boy who looks an awful lot like Jones Junior

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 01/09/2007 18:58

Really - is it the October edition? In the shops already Lummy I'm not sure how I feel about it now! Do we seem pretty normal or a bit wierd?

WigWamBam · 01/09/2007 19:40

Yes, it's the October edition - but it's in the shops now.

Don't worry, you come across as perfectly normal! Yours is the most interesting of the three stories they've printed and you come across as intelligent and articulate. Your love for ds shines out from your words and the photograph they've printed is lovely - you're holding him up and laughing with him and he's looking right at the camera. There's one of ds in the orphanage as well, wearing a top with a hood.

It's a nice piece; it doesn't fully do your story justice but that would be really hard to do in a single page. They have given your blog address though.

You'll be buying up the newsagent's entire stock of the magazine tomorrow, I'll bet!

Kewcumber · 01/09/2007 19:42

I will indeed - does my complete paranoia about being a fat wierdo come shining through???!! Will rush over tomorrow and buy one before I tell everyone...
